She earned her BFA in theater at Valdosta State University, and has traveled the world professionally as a singer/actress. I enjoyed this music romance. I really liked how much dialog there was, that’s my jam! This was an easy and quick read. I also didn’t feel like I was missing something by not read the first two books. You can definitely jump right in. Hank is a sweet country boy who has a passion for music. He goes to a concert for his favorite country musician Travis Miller and ends up meeting Travis’ sister, Ella Mae. Ella takes a liking to Travis right away. She encouraging his love for music and invites him to see what life is like on tour. Then then go off on a fun but rocky journey together.
I should start this review by saying that I'm not always the biggest fan of rockstar/musician romances but this synopsis had me intrigued.
We're following Hank, who dreams of becoming a famous country artist but the rest of his band doesn't share his ambitions. So he's sulking and back to working on the family farm. One night he's at a concert and meets Ella Mae, who happens to be the sister of his idol Travis Miller, and a famous songwriter herself. She invites Hank to join them on tour to see what the famous musician life is like and it continues from there. The reason I enjoyed this book is because the romance between Hank and Ella Mae is so wholesome and isn't plagued with so many of the toxic traits of other musician romances, namely all of the alcohol/drugs and sex with random fans/groupies. Hank is very sweet and smitten with Ella Mae, as she is with him. This book is the third in a series, and while I haven't read any of the other book in the series, I'm intrigued to do so because I really loved all of the family members we were introduced to (who I'm assuming are the characters of the other books).
This book was so fun because it was like getting a peek behind the curtain at what it might actually be like to write and perform in Nashville and on the road. I think if you enjoy music, particularly country music, you should give this a try.
That being said, there are some heavy topics dealt with in this book, including alcohol/substance abuse and the deaths of loved ones, so have your tissues ready!
"Sometimes opportunity shows up when you're too busy looking for something else."
I loved this book so, so, sooo much!
This book is the third in the Langston Falls series, and it follows Hank Bennett and country star's sister Ella Mae Miller. I can not get over their happenstance in meeting and the insta love that takes place in these books.
The ending was also chefs kiss and gave me all the feels that I now expect from KG Fletcher. I love that the author can also add songwriter to her list of accomplishments ... and I'm not even a fan of country music, so that tells you something! (You can check out her song on Spotify!)
"She could breathe when he was near, yet he absolutely made her breathless."
You get: • Insta love • Addiction representation • Mental health representation • Childhood trauma • Loss • Country music scene • Short read • Lots of fluff • Small town romance
My only reason for taking off .5 is because of the one scene at Hank's family's cemetery .. iykyk 😂
Give this series a chance ... you will not regret it! Can't wait to start Becky's story!
"Hank offered a half-smile, his expression holding humor in his dark eyes. "The last thing we texted each other was 'goodnight.' You've been sleeping for a mighty long time, Ella Mae Miller. It's time to wake up."
I fell in love with this book and everything that it had to offer. This is book three in the Bennetts of Langston Falls series, and I'll definitely be reading the first two books now. This story was well written, and you can't help but fall in love with Hank and Ella Mae. I really enjoyed this book and the country music aspect of it. Make sure you check this one out today.
Hank might be my new favorite Bennett! He’s such an old-fashioned gentleman and you can’t help but like him! The chemistry between him and Ella Mae was palpable and believable. I enjoyed their friendship and the realness that was between them.
Full review to come ….
Hank and Ella Mae had an instant connection, but it wasn't insta-love. They meet by chance and turns out, she's his idol's sister! But Travis doesn't have an impact as to why he and Ella work. Travis is a by-product. I liked that he liked her for her. I enjoyed the flow of this story and the development of their relationship. I liked how Hank brought Ella Mae into his world and was a rock for her, when she needed it the most. I couldn't read this book fast enough. While I do recommend reading the previous books in the series, you can read this as a standalone.
This is book three of this interconnected standalone series, told in third person POV and leaves you with a HEA. While this book can be read as a standalone and has no cliffhanger, in my opinion, it is more enjoyable when read in order. I’m not a fan of third person POV, but this story, as well as the rest of the series, has me hooked.
I love musicians, and I loved Hank and Ella Mae. I was excited for Hank to be able to have an experience in the music industry and live his dreams. I was heartbroken that he also had to witness and experience the dark side of the music industry and see his favorite singer in a way that could turn him away from his dreams. I loved watching Ella Mae find herself with Hank’s help. These two were perfect for each other on and off the stage. I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold and come together.
Once again, K.G. Fletcher had me needing more of this family’s story while also not wanting this book to end. I can’t wait for the next book to see which family member finds their HEA. I received an advanced readers copy via the author. These thoughts and opinions are my own.
Breathless Love is the third book in the wonderful ‘The Bennetts of Langston Falls’ Series by romance supremo, K.G Fletcher #lovealwayswins. I know I have said this dozens of times now, but I can’t help that Ms. Fletcher keeps outdoing herself with each new book she releases- but I LOVE this story- I think it might be one of her best yet. She had me swooning while all the emotion strummed at my heart strings. This is another example of why Ms. Fletcher is on my automatic one-click, no questions asked author list- because I don’t even need to see a cover, or read a blurb, to know that I’m going to love every minute between her covers. The Bennet’s of Langston Falls is a really fantastic series, each member of the family getting their own book, and each capturing my heart along the way. The books could be read as standalones, but I highly recommend reading the previous books before starting on this one, as they are all superb stories in their own right, and they will all make you feel like you want to stay in Langston Falls and have a Christmas tree farm, listen to music, and hang out with good friends. Hank Bennett dreams of making it big in the country music scene. But achieving them hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing. A chance encounter and an instant connection later, and Hank finds himself tagging along on the concert tour of country music royalty, with a fascinating and talented woman by his side. So all aboard the bus, strap yourself in, and get set for an exciting tour- because things are certainly set to take a captivating turn. Like I said, this might just be one of K.G fletcher’s best books, and series, yet. I am so smitten with the Bennett’s, and each instalment in their series has made my heart go pitter-patter and given me all the ‘feels’ along the way. It’s a wonderful, contemporary romance with plenty of emotion, music, chemistry, sizzle, forced-proximity, family, finding love unexpectedly, and much more. Can’t wait for ‘Reckless Love’ (Book #4)- which is Becky Bennett’s story!
This is book 3 in The Bennetts Of Langston Falls Series. This a a sweet romance and just like the other books in the series you can't help but be captivated by the story. The author writing has the ability to transport the reader into this small town and the characters are so well written then could be your friends, they are easily to relate to and emotions and feelings came through in this story. This book can be read as a standalone but because these books are so good I would recommend reading them all.
Hank has always wanted to become a famous country star but when his band decides they don't want the same thing it leaves Hank feeling lost and wondering if all he was made for was working on his families farm after all. That is until a chance meeting changed his life in more ways than one.
Ella Mae is a talented songwriter. She has been touring with her brother Travis and when she meets Hank she feels such a strong connection that she invites him to join the band too see what life on tour is really like. The more time together they spent the more perfect the duo seem to be, both musically and romantically but it's not going to be an easy path to their happy ever after.
One of the things I loved about this pairing is that support for one another. Elle Mae supports and encourages Hanks dreams to become a country star and when problems hit Elle's personal life he is there standing and supporting her in the same way. Their attraction and connection is so pure that you can't help but want them to succeed and get everything they dream of. As well as the excitement of being on tour with the band and the romance that is building between Hank and Elle Mae the author also deal with topics such as drug and alcohol addiction and the effect that has not only on the person going through it but also everyone around them. It's a beautiful story that shows that no relationship is perfect and that there could be problems along the way. The question is can Hank and Elle Mae overcome them together? Or will Hank decide that he prefers the quiet easier life on his families farm?
Thanks to the author for gifting me both an eARC and paperback ARC of her beautiful newest release and the chance to provide my candid review.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(0-5) Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 (0-5) I considered bumping up for the wide-open spaces where they could’ve been caught. But it’s private property.
What I’m Starry-Eyed Over 🤩 Rock-star romance, with on-tour adventures and travels! Country music fans will extra love it, but it’s not necessary to be a fan. 🤩 Meet-cute that’s adorable and makes you immediately fall in love with Hank & Ella Mae. 🤩 Sizzlin’ summertime descriptions. 🤩 A great mix of city life with the band or in Nashville and country life on the Bennett’s vineyard and Christmas tree farm. 🤩 Hank—he’s “the type of guy who likes to woo a gal.” 🤩 Ella Mae—she’s bold, brave, and beautiful inside and out, plus a bit of a bad (a$$) bossy ballbuster when necessary. 🤩 BOTH musicians—it’s so good when they make music together. 🤩 Fantastic nicknames, perfectly used (Is it a spoiler if I tell the nicknames in my review? Ugh). 🤩 The steam after the drama. And the steam before the drama, after a little bit of slow-burn!! Hello steamy old oak tree scene—you need it in your life. 🤩 The time they spend at each other’s homes. 🤩 The Bennett family—I adore them.
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About: 💫 I considered a 4 ½ rating because I really did wish for another steamy scene toward the end to help me get back to the happier, lustier feels. After I heard the author’s original song, I Wish I’d Known (Brotherly Love), that goes with the book; however, it was a for-sure 5 stars because the song deserves a half star of its own. I can’t stop listening to it. Go to the author’s website to hear it. https://www.kgfletcherauthor.com/audi... 🤩 🤩 Oh, my goodness—Georgia Clay has an original song, too! I might have to read it just because I love the song (and the author, obviously).
Trigger Warnings: 🔬 on and off-page alcohol and drug abuse. 🔬 off-page tragic loss of parents—cancer and car accident.
Totally loved Breathless Love. This is based primarily in Tennessee when a farmer dreams of being a country star, and almost was until his band broke up. One night Hank decides to go to his country idol’s concert not knowing things would never be the same after meeting Ella Mae. Hank and Ella Mae quickly build a friendship and with her position in the music business things began to happen for him. However, he quickly realizes that the music isn’t the only magic that is sparking in his life - these friends quickly become more - lovers, confidants, and kindred souls. Ella Mae provides him with a realistic picture of what being a star looks like, but with fame comes so many other responsibilities. Is all of the love, music, and trauma worth the fame? I loved this story so much. I don’t want to give too much away because it is just so heartbreakingly beautiful. First, the storyline - I loved the no-bullshit romance. The two were so honest and went for what they wanted. There was no back and forth, no telling each other their feelings and the drama that seems to come with romance books lately. Second, the characters were amazing. Hank, I can’t say enough about this man - he is what girls think of when they want a gentle, sexy cowboy. He is driven, honest, sweet, sexy, and straightforward in an unapologetic way, but in a gentlemanly way. Ella Mae, I also adored her. She is strong, passionate, straightforward, and independent, but a little broken. Her journey for herself is a great one. There will be other characters such as Ella Mae’s brother - it’s a love-hate relationship but so necessary for the plot. Last, but not least, it was face- paced. I was always interested and actually surprised I didn’t see the end coming till right before (it was nice just to be engaged in the book). Really recommend it for a great thought-provoking, encouraging life-love story. FYI read your trigger warnings.
This book should be rated a big negative 15 stars because it made me cry. Yes, I said it. This big hard, cold hearted, not a crier was overtaken by all the heavy, intense feels in this book and water leaked from my eyes. As -15 stars is not an official rating and is not a fair one, I can’t help but give it all the stars possible.
I have been a fan of this series since I first dived in with Teddy. I stuck around for Walt, the big ol’softee. I was completely blown away with Hank and his Ella Mae. So, where do we pick up with the Bennett clan? Hank is lost after trying Nashville and finding out that it wasn’t for his band. They didn’t want that life. Weekend gigs in local bars with crowds chanting their name, they were there for that. The hustle and grind of the Nashville music scene, not so much. But he was at home working the family farm.
Feeling sorry for himself, Hank takes himself to a concert for his music idol, Travis Miller. Hank is feeling no pain and looking sad when a pretty girl says hello and offers him water. As Hank talks to the mystery woman, he starts to realize that he might never want to let her go. When she introduces herself as Ella Mae Miller, Hank is stunned. Ella Mae is on tour with her brother. Ella Mae prefers the shadows to the spotlight, so she doesn’t mind being the woman behind Travis’ spotlight.
Hank and Ella Mae bond over many things including family tragedies and the shared knowledge of dark secrets. As some of those secrets start to come to light, Ella Mae must decide who she wants to be and the road she wants to take, knowing that it might cost her one if not both of the men in her life.
Absolutely beautiful. The talk that James gives Hank after they got the news, heart wrenching brotherly love. So many tender moments in this one. It is hard to point to a favorite.
P.S. I see what you are doing to Becky and it better be worth it. Cuz I’m fixin’ to say Nun-uh, No to that.
Hank Bennett is lost in a world of unknowns now. With his band breaking up and him coming back home has his dreams been lost forever or can he make it on his own, but one night he thought he was going to the concert of his hero, and it ended up changing his life’s path forever.
Ella Mae was working the merch table and was trying to just get through the night when a rather drunk, cute cowboy came crashing into her life. Although she knew what could happen if he knew her real identity, but she could not resist Hank’s charms, understanding his story and feeling for him she invited him on the last few tour dates to experience the true life of a Country Music star.
Along the way the truth is laid out and Hank starts to have feeling for Ella but can tour life and a needy brother get in the way of true love in the end.
I am so in love with Hank, and I am glad you choose his story next; he has always seemed a bit lost in the previous books not quite sure whether the farm or music is the way to go but this book brings it all forward and embraces what family is all about. The interactions between Hank and Ella were beautiful to read and the chemistry was off the page.
There is some pretty heavy feelings in this story and the way the brothers struggles were described where a great insight into something I have not dealt with but could understand Ella’s reactions and emotions. I have to say I want to be a part of The Bennetts, they have so much love and respect for each other that you feel like you are a part of the family and want to hug Roy as he seems like a good hugger lol.
I can’t wait for the next book and trust Becky to throw a huge bomb in the middle of The Bennetts and can’t wait to read it. Thank KG Fletcher for creating a world of pure love and respect.
This series is so much more and I fall in love with each book in this series and I want to be part of the Bennett Family. Can I say....this story of Hank and Ella Mae.....has me in my feelings hard. Love, courage, hard decisions....this story really gave me just the raw emotion what it is like to be in the limelight as a musician..including the ups and downs.
Hank never wanted to give up on his dream as a country musician.....but at the moment, the timing for him is not right and Hank is feeling a bit lost. A chance encounter at a Travis Miller concert, Hank meets Ella Mae....and finding out that Ella Mae is Travis' sister. Ella Mae is bold and outgoing and takes a chance on Hank and invites him on a whirlwind trip along with her brother to know what is feels like truly to be on the road as a musician. When Hank and Ella Mae get to really know each other, they soon find out that their love of music is not the only thing they have in common. Hank and Ella Mae's love for each other blossom....but behind the curtain, is being a big time musician all what is is cracked up to be? When past demons threaten Hank and Ella Mae will their love for each other survive......
I do not want to give away the story....but I can honestly say I could talk about this book forever. This story just really got me....hard........and I totally love Hank and Ella Mae and their characters. Hank and his gentleman ways and how respectful and caring he is and Ella Mae and her courage and boldness to keep her and her brother together through the limelight. I am already anticipating book 4......
I'll be honest, I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this part as much. I love families together and stories taking place in the same location as the others because I love keeping the connections from previous characters. I was wrong in this case. This was an amazing story!
Hank and Ella Mae…Sigh…. I can not pick a favorite couple from this series because each story gives you something different. I love this!
Will only say that this was one heck of a ride. Hank has always just kind of been there and I've wondered often what he would be like in the spotlight lol and that happened in this story in more ways than one. I felt every single emotion possible while reading this. I cried, I laughed, I fell in love, and I Wanted to not only throw my kindle but also smash it more than once. This gave me the family aspect in a whole different way. Hank surprised me, coming through loud and clear as another strong, caring Bennett man. I loved the interactions and dialogue between him and Ella Mae and completely connected with each very quickly. Not going into too much more, I'm afraid I'll say too much and this story needs to be read with no spoilers.
Country music is one of my top music genres so I appreciated the references and themes. I loved this story…It was impactful and dealt with some current day issues, making it real for me.
Anxiously awaiting the next in the series, Love Becks and can not wait to see where her story leads her!
This author is so amazing, I've read all but one of her books and I have it ready to go after finishing this review. I truly want them all on my bookshelf!
Breathless Love is Book Three in The Bennetts of Langston Falls series. This story focuses on Hank, who dreams of being a country music star, and Ella Mae, who is a songwriter for her famous country music star, Travis. Hank was in a band, but they did not share in his dream, so he is now trying to figure out whether to continue pursuing his dream or work on the family farm. Hank meets Ella Mae purely by chance when he goes to her brother Travis’ concert. She invites him to go on tour with them and as they spend more time together their attraction grows and romance blooms between them.
This was an exquisitely written, wholesome contemporary romance with vivid scenes that fully immersed you into the storyline with the characters. The characters were wonderful, and I found them to be lovable, relatable, and easy to root for. Hank was old-fashioned, sincere, kind, smart, ambitious and it was refreshing to see how much in love he was with Ella Mae. He will do anything to protect her and be there for her as she struggles with her brother’s drug and alcohol addiction. Ella Mae is sweet, kind, sincere, driven, smart, and talented. She loves Hank and wants to be there for him as well even through her own struggles. The two share a mutual love for music which is the starting point for a romance between them to bloom from friendship to mutual attraction, to unconditional true love. A beautifully written love story with downs that will have you reaching for the box of Kleenex and other moments that will leave you breathless.
I cannot say enough about the Bennetts of Langston Falls series. I have loved each and every book so far and this is not an exception. Each book definitely functions as a standalone but I do recommend reading each and every one so that you can get to know this family so much better. This book focuses on Hank Bennet. He loves their family and the small town of Langston Falls. However, he also has a love of music that is bigger than this small town can ever give him. Plus, his band has gone in a different direction (read: not being a band anymore). This finds him at his favorite musicians concert drinking away his sorrows. Enter Ella Mae. She is the beautiful t-shirt slinging merch girl who he is smitten with after they meet. Little does he know that she is also a songwriter who is the sister of that famous musician he just saw on stage. She offers him the opportunity of a life time. Their immediate connection and dialogue had me hooked on them from the beginning. I wanted to see them succeed as a couple. Once Hank met Travis (that wonderful country singer) I definitely felt myself rooting for Hank and his dreams. I definitely wasn’t expecting this book to send me through all the emotions. And I felt each and every emotion when i was reading this. There were times where I was crying and smiling at the exact same time reading this. This book was filled with drama and hope and happily ever after. Hank and Ella Mae contained a chemistry that dreams are made of. I definitely cannot recommend this book enough!!
This book had me feeling all the things. From the aww they are so sweet to that was not very smart it reminds me of everyday life and that in and of itself is the tell of a great story. The ability to connect it to the experiences that we face daily is a talent that not everyone possesses.
Hank is a small-time country musician but when his band breaks up, he is forced to choose whether to continue to pursue a solo music career or relinquish his dreams to work on the family farm. Stuck in limbo and not knowing what to do he decides to go to a Travis Miller concert, the one person that is his idol in the country music world. This leads down a path that could change his life forever and just so happens to come wrapped up in beautiful Ella Mae. The attraction flies immediately and they both know that heading down the rabbit hole could be dangerous especially once Hank finds out just who Ella Mae is. Unable to resist his charms Ella Mae convinces Hank to join them on the road for the last of their tour stops. However, Travis does not like all the time and extra attention that Ella Mae is now giving to Hank. Can they overcome Travis’ objections to begin a relationship? Will Hank get his country music career off the ground or is he destined to become caretaker of the family farm?
I really enjoyed this book, especially the banter and interactions between Hank and Ella Mae. It kind of takes me back to the dating phase of my life. This book is a great beach read, and it will have you crying, laughing, and wanting to yell at the characters sometimes.
Another enjoyable and engaging story involving the Bennett’s of Langston Falls. This contemporary romance can be read as a standalone story, however having read and loved the previous books in the series I recommend reading them all! This is a friends to lovers romance which takes place in the small town setting of Langston Falls, which is once once again brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative. Hank Bennett’s dream is to be a country music star, but following the breakup off his band he’s at a crossroad and is wondering whether to continue with his music, or working on his family’s farm. Attending the hometown concert of his country music idol, Travis Miller changes everything, when he meets Travis’s award winning songwriting sister Ella Mae. Ella Mae invites Hank to join them on the tour and their mutual attraction is obvious and their chemistry leads to a passionate night. However, her famous brother becomes jealous and Hank starts to think that as a wannabe musician, he’s not good enough for Ella Mae. Meanwhile she’s dealing with the darker side of fame with her brothers drug and alcohol addiction. I loved Hank and Ella Mae and their chemistry really sizzled off the page and led to some steamy scenes. I enjoyed how their relationship developed throughout the story, and liked their hayloft serenades. I felt both immersed in the story and engaged with the characters, and was cheering the couple on to a promised HEA.
Country music isn’t very big where I come from but I really wanted to have the ambiance right when I read this 😉 so thanks so the internet I had my tunes and ready …set … go 🫶🏼
Having read the first 2 books in the series and knowing Hank had a story to share I couldn’t wait to get into this read well that and I love visiting Langston Falls and it’s people ❣️
Hank and his band had music since high school days and they were pretty good they even recorded in studio but it was more his dream than that of his mates and they eventually go their own ways leaving our Hank feel a little despondent….
Ella-Mae our cute daisy duke , flip flop wearing beaut is just a ray of sunshine and when she bumps into our Hank things get interesting …
Hank is at a concert and sort of drowning in his sorrows when he gets bumped into by the adorable Ella-Mae and our boy Hank’s life is about to change and I must say despite the fact that he may be 2 sheets to the wind he’s real charming 😉
Did I mention Ella-Mae is the little sister of Travis Miller ?! Oops 🤣😉when she drops it on Hank she’s humble and every day about it ….
So Ella-Mae invites Hank to join them in the rest of their tour and I loved watching them discover each other , their music and their time together and yes Travis had me worried and angry at times but it couldn’t steal anything from these 2 beautiful people 🥰 I loved every moment of being around them ❣️📚
ARC Book Review Breathless Love A Novel Written By K.G. Fletcher Fiction - Romance Published May 23, 2023 360 Pages ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the third book in the author’s The Bennett of Langston Falls Series. I haven’t read the first two books in the series. That did not impact my enjoyment of this book. I would like to read the first two books.
If you are a fan of country music and Nashville, you will love this book.
Hank Bennett is at a crossroads in his life. His band has broken up. His dream of becoming a country music star may never materialize. Should he give up on his dream and work full time at his family’s Christmas tree farm and winery?
Ella Mae Miller is a songwriter. She travels with her brother’s band and collaborates with him writing hits for him. Her brother is Travis Miller, a country music star.
Ella and Hank have a chance meeting at a Travis Miller concert. The two hit it off immediately, and Ella invites Hank to join her on the last few weeks of the tour.
Can Ella help Hank take that leap to success in his music career? Can Hank help open Ella’s eyes to see that her brother is holding her back from achieving her own successful music career?
You will fall in love with Ella and Hank and their love story.
Holy Smokes! This author did it again! Another story that brings all the emotions and gave me chills! I am talking a tears streaming, snot flowing kind of read and I don't cry while reading. This storyline is ..man just amazing! I loved it from the beginning all the way to the end. She really give her all to these characters and makes them pop out of the pages, become three dimensional and enact the story right in front of the reader. I have so many highlights and favorite passages
While I like Ella Mae…I loved Hank. He is a character I didn’t give much thought to in previous stories. He wasn’t too exciting and kinda did his own thing. In here I got a look into his thoughts and ideas. He has a lot going on. I LOVED when he met his idol!! How he went fan crazy and googly eyed with his big goofy grin plus the way he acted when he went to that infamous cafe in Nashville…same just in awe! His excitement was palpable! I can’t even imagine!
I really went through ALL the feels with this story. Even had chills..it is soo good! I love this one so much! I have so many passages highlighted in here! One of my favorite that I think encompasses the theme of this story.
“Family they are like a reflection of the WORST and the BEST of you”
I look forward to the next in the series….please don’t make me cry again :)
Breathless Love is the third instalment of K. G. Fletcher’s The Bennett’s of Langston Falls series, and follows Hank, a wannabe country music star, who meets Ella Mae, songwriter and sister of a country music legend that Hank just so happens to be a huge fan of. Ella Mae invites Hank on tour to show him what a rockstar lifestyle is really like, and they get to know each other deeper than either of them imagined, and they have more in common than either of them would have thought. It’s hugely inspirational with a big focus on opportunities, dreams, and the importance of family, featuring strong characters with consistent personality traits, particularly Hank with his chivalry and Ella Mae with her independence. My favourite character was Ella Mae, as she is strong, independent, understanding, and caring. My least favourite character was Travis because he unfortunately turned out to be toxic, manipulative, and selfish. I recommend this book because it’s inspirational, especially for a reader with big dreams. I do think that the ending stretched on for a bit and it probably wasn’t all needed or at least not at that time, but it was a good ending and I really enjoyed the book. “A dream won’t chase you back, son. It’s up to you to chase this dream with everything you have.”
Music is the words of the soul. In saying that I love this series! And I think Breathless Love took the cake for me! My favorite book in this series. I had a feeling Hank’s story would be special. Since he’s different. Restless in his job in the family business Hank is destined for more. And with the help of Ella Mae, that destiny could become a reality. However you know how these books go. Nothing is ever cut and dry. There’s always some sort of drama. This time it’s family/fame. Ella Mae’s brother Travis is a wildcard. Will he derail everything for Hank? How will his behavior affect Ella? The author puts forward a beautiful story about rising out of the shadows. Filled with wonderful character growth by not just Ella but Hank as well. However I think this author is saving the absolute best story for last. The Bennett boys' stories have been told, now all that’s left is Becky. And you know what? I can’t wait! If you enjoy a book series that revolves around a big loving family, this series is perfect. You can read the books in succession or however you want. Just because they are a series, they work very well as standalone novels as well. Book 3 for now is my favorite, which ones yours?
He’s chasing his honky-tonk dreams. She’s Nashville songwriter royalty. Will a road trip together set them on a passionate course toward their hearts’ desire? I don’t know where to begin! This can be read as a stand-alone or read with the whole The Bennetts Of Langston Falls Series! I’ve loved Teddy and Walt’s story! But, KG knocked it out the park with Hank and Ella Mae story! Hanks ultimate goal was to become a big time country star. But after his band breaks up, he’s at a crossroads pondering his fate between music and working on the family farm. Lonely, libated, and a little bit lost, he attends the hometown concert of his country music idol, Travis Miller. This is how he meets sweet Ella Mae! Hank and Ella meet leading her to bring Hank on tour with her brother and him. I laughed and I sobbed. This book needs a Kleenex warning. The pain and heartache Ella endures from her brothers drug and alcohol abuse. With Hank by her side she accomplishes so much. There love of music makes them a beautiful duo. Both have had their tragedy. I loved knowing all of the Nashville landmarks. There is so much more I can say but it’s a must read! I refuse to spoil it fit anyone!
A steamy standalone about two musicians at a crossroads. Hank Bennett is a handsome, country-boy hero who likes to woo his woman. Ella Mae Miller is a loyal, talented heroine starting to remember who she is outside of her famous brother’s shadow. Romantic add-ons include a charming family farm, hayloft serenades, outdoor sexy times in the mountains, and a happily ever after that will leave you breathless for days. 🧡
🎶Musicians 🎶Slow-burn 🎶Road Trip 🎶Close Proximity 🎶Sunshine-Sunshine 🎶Friends to Lovers 🎶Small Town 🎶All the steam & swoon 🎶Will be in KU!
Thank you to K.G. Fletcher for my physical ARC and ✨gorgeous✨ stickers and swag. This my first time visiting the Bennett Family in Langston Falls and I’m already missing them! Hank and Ella Mae were such a breath of fresh air! Two sweet, funny, talented, and loyal people whose connection genuinely left me breathless. Watching them support each other through past trauma and current obstacles was endearing 🥰. I can’t wait to go back to read the earlier stand alone books and I’m so excited that Becky is getting her story next 🫶🏼. TW: loss of parent, alcohol and drug abuse, addiction, and gaslighting.
5 Stars Breathless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls Book 3) by KG Fletcher
This is the third book in The Bennetts of Langston Falls series and is a Contemporary Romance/Friends to Lover’s Romance that I absolutely loved reading . I’m a huge fan of not only this author but this series is hands down one of the best I’ve read in a while. Each book is about a different member of the Bennett family. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading this series in order as each book is just as good as the last and you get to know the characters better plus you get to fall in love with Langston Falls. This is Hank and Ella Mae's story and let me tell you my emotions were all over the place. This one definitely pulled at my heart strings. Hank dreams of being a Country music star and it hasn’t been easy for him but a chance of a lifetime comes his way and he finds himself tagging along with Country Music Royalty on his latest tour. Ella Mae is a Nashville royalty songwriter. These two have great chemistry between them. Will this tour bring them together? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Although I haven't read the first two books in the series this works as a standalone and I didn't feel I was missing out by not having read them.
This book tackles the struggles of drugs and alcohol abuse very well. We see our supportive FMC stick by her brother throughout, we see their sibling bond and just how much she cares about him.
Our MMC is at a crossroads and is deciding whether he should give up on his dreams of becoming a country music star following the break up of his band.
When Hank and Ella Mae meet there is an instant connection and Hank gets the opportunity of a lifetime when she suggests he join them on the last leg of their tour.
I loved the jam sessions/songwriting between Hank and Ella Mae it was very sweet. There is a little bit of spice but not too much and it fits withing the plot rather than spice over story.
It was a pleasant and easy read but I wasn't blown away so that's why I rated it 3 and not 4 stars but I enjoyed reading this and would recommend it.
I was very excited to read a romance involving country music. This is the third in a series but absolutely can be read as a standalone. I dont think i felt like i was missing info or confused on anything by not reading the previous two books first. This story follows Hank who gets a little lost in life when his band doesnt work out like he hoped. He runs in to miss Ella Mae by chance at a concert of his Idol and turns out, Ella Mae is his idols sister! A chance encounter when Hank is at his lowest is really a turning point in life for him and he finds a lot more throughout his journey with Ella Mae. This story has some heavy topics and the banter was decent but a little corny at times. I was shocked at some points and felt all the emotions the characters did. This was a fun music based romance which i was so glad for because the last romance i read with the same concept was so bad. This had a good balance of music and career development for the characters as well as personal things going on to keep the story going. This really felt like getting a glimpse at tour life.
Breathless Love is the third book in The Bennetts of Langston Falls series. This can be read as a standalone and wholly enjoyed. This book focuses on Hank Bennett, who dreams of a life in country music. Ella Mae is on tour with her brother, Travis, a successful country singer. Will Hank realize his dreams, or will reality crush them? I was excited to get to read another story about the Bennetts. Hank has been a fun character in previous books and has become the show's star. I enjoyed Ella Mae and how she shared so much in common with Hank. I was rooting for them to find a happily ever after. This was a lovely story and gave a behind-the-scenes view of musicians on tour. I liked the show of how it is much work and not all fun and glamour. Like the other books in this series, we get reminded that family can have your back through the worst times and that life isn't always picture-perfect. I look forward to reading more from this author shortly.
I enjoyed the writing style of this and loved the southern charm of the characters. What I wasn't loving was the back and forth of the MMC's personality and how he was sometimes down to earth and humble, and a nerdy fan-boy other times.
I liked the personality of the FMC but I wasn't keen on how fast the story progressed -- seemed a little too unrealistic to me. That being said, it slows down part way through and feels more natural as it wraps up.
There are themes of alcoholism and drug use that give this book a very "A Star is Born" feel (which I absolutely love that movie and the heartbreak of it).
But it was a nice, quick read that helped to drag me out of a reading slump. If you're a fan of live music, Nashville vibes, and country stars, you'll love this story.
