I had the pleasure of reading this book before everyone and I’m so so happy and blessed to have had the opportunity to not only read but also build a friendship with the author too. It’s safe to say that I was shocked at this book, I didn’t expect it to be like it was. This book was filled with it all and every trope was serving so much. It really fed me and I was satisfied.

- Admiration for R&B
- Protective Male Lead
- Multicultural Cast
Zander was our hot musician and his words were everything, he was mysterious and an introvert but also had this charm and something about him that made you really want to think wow, he is the standard. He had tattoos and is so so sexy with his songs, and he’s rich but not like a snobby rude kind of celebrity. Zanders personality is incredible, he’s caring and down to earth and treats Bia with so much respect.
Bianka is his anti fan, she has this attitude and this persona, which initially we fall in love with. As cliche as it sounds, she’s not like any other FMC. Shes straight up and confident and tells people how it is especially Zander. She’s been through a lot and hides herself with her strong exterior. She’s beautiful inside and out and I have no complains about her.
Together they are like a jigsaw, so perfect. They match each other so well, it’s so complimentary and makes you think it’s so real. Their relationship isn’t some fantasy or something that we are think is only in books, the author did a great job showcasing how there are indifferences and cracks and bumps. Their first meeting and how it happens is so hilarious, it has to be one of my favourite parts of the book. Their banter and how they joke around is so wholesome and has me jumping up and down. Their interactions and talks are so nice and they’re so genuine, it gives you hope of the real world.
There are elements of found family and friendships and it so nice to see supportive people around the main characters. Even though some side characters are a little negative at the start, you find yourself warning to to them. The diversity is incredible with the MCs being one desi and one black, and it’s just incredible to see as it’s not really seen often in books especially together. The awareness is done so well and I honestly felt so connected with the characters as themes of anxiety, bullying and also trust issues came into the mix.
I recommend this book so much. You should all give this authors debut book a chance because I promise you, it will not disappoint. October 13 is the release date and the book is available to pre-order now. Mark your calendars, you won’t want to miss out on this!!

I’m not normally one for celebrity romances but this one was incredible! There was great POC representation and it highlighted some of the hardships POC face especially in the media.

Taking a Chance
I took a chance with this novel, and I must admit, the story was well written from start to finish.
Both main characters had personal issues from their past, but through it all, they were there for each other.
Just like the title, this book is deeper than love, sex, etc. They took a chance to be each others shoulder to lean on, exploring each others differences, vulnerability, acceptance to live out loud, and better way to communicate.
This author is new to me, and I'm glad that I took a chance to read this book.

Read It!
Now this is how you do celebrity romance. This book played out like a movie. The chemistry was real and loved the characters even when they frustrated me. Real solid book, no complaints, 5 out of 5 stars for me. I just finished and I want to go back to the start and read it all over again.

I liked them together. I think the plot could’ve been better and I also wish they had handled some of the issues covered better. That said, one strike against our main girl for slapping him in the beginning? Her behavior made zero sense to me!

Was an early reader on Wattpad and enjoyed it then and enjoyed it now. The amount of pages I dog eared because of a line that sent me swooning or struck with wisdom👌🏾👏🏾 Loved the social media graphics as well.
