'Work Less, Make More: The Millennial’s Guide to Financial Freedom' is about the golden rule of personal finance…

If you don’t manage your money, someone else will!

This book aims to inspire you to take control of your personal finances. We’ve been sold a lie about having to hustle harder than everyone else to get ahead. The truth is, personal finance is not about how much you earn – it’s about how much you convert to wealth.

About the author

Kim Northwood

1 book1 follower
Kim Northwood has secured his finances and is now in a position whereby his passive wealth-building outstrips his salary. He is a long-term investor and serial entrepreneur. He was formerly an adviser to Australia's Trade and Investment Minister, and has run economic development programs in Afghanistan and Papua New Guinea. Other than writing, he currently manages an importation and distribution company for non-alcoholic beer.

He is deeply concerned about the risk of financial insecurity for the millennial generation, given wild housing costs, cost of living and the disparity in superannuation between men and women. Frustrated by the way we endlessly chase more income without understanding personal finance, he demonstrates how very simple steps can make a lifetime of difference.

A sound book on personal finances that provides very practical tips. I'm not sure about the millenial angle as it read like similar books. That said, I appreciated the shorter chapters.

I came upon this book purely by chance, when looking for books on financial freedom. And what a discovery this has been !
The structure of the book, practical examples, easy explanations and clarity of thought was such that I immediately found myself deeply engaged with the book.

I resonated with the philosophy and approach to wealth building that the author Kim seems to have described in a very easy to read and understand style.

My journey into wealth building has been on similar lines and this book seems to validate what I have learnt through my personal experiences over the years, though my journey has taken the harder route of trial and errors. Wish I had this laid out so well 15-20 years earlier :)

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is starting on, or is already progressing ahead on their financial freedom journey.

I borrowed this one from the library and enjoyed it a lot. It is written for Australians so more relevant to some of the other US based similar books. It is fairly easy to follow and get through and I learned a lot about personal finances and saving up for the future and how to get the most out of the finance system.

Excellent book! Practical, helpful, and not condescending when talking about how to use your finances best. It felt like a conversation with a knowledgeable friend!
