Something priceless has been stolen… carefully hidden away…
It’s a book unlike any other—full of the Shadow Walker coven’s secrets. To stop these evil witches and warlocks from destroying Los Angeles, the House of Fourteen must have this book.
Ironically, only a witch hunter who was hidden from the world can find it. Rose Beaufont. Only someone once hidden can discover that which is magically lost. But to do so, Rose must face an insurmountable challenge. She must discover who she really is. Rose must truly become a Beaufont, by embracing all aspects of herself. But will she like what she learns? Her mother hid her for a reason. Some believe the halfling to be a mistake. As Buddha once said, “Only three things cannot be long the sun, the moon, and the truth.” And this truth is more dangerous than anyone ever expected…
Can Rose embrace who she truly is to find the book and stop the wicked witches terrorizing Los Angeles? The fate of mortals, the Beaufonts and the city depends upon it.

It's been a little while since I read my last Beaufont book, and this one made me realise, once again, just how much I love reading about those ladies!
Rose Beaufont is definitely as unique as those who came before her - even more unique than I'd realised, once I reached the end of this story - but, SPOILERS, I'm just not going there! Lol
I loved this book, and I think a lot of that, is because Rose is so very human, despite being half human, half magician - but, as she said herself, she spent the first twenty years of her life knowing nothing else!
I wasn't sure how I felt about Elvis, at first (LOVED Elvis Presley!). I had fallen instantly in love with all of the other Beaufont girls' close friends (whispers: a certain squirrel especially), so I couldn't understand why I didn't feel the same about Elvis, the Chinese Dragon/Chimera.
But, around half way through this book, I suddenly realised why - because Elvis, wasn't sure about himself, either! I think the turning point, for me, was when he admitted this, and was determined to do something about it!
As usual with a Beaufont story, there were lots of laughs, some tears, and a whole lot of sass, and I absolutely loved it!
Fortunately, the fourth book in this Rose series: Twisted Witchcraft, is going to be released, last I heard, on the ninth of June, this year - that's 2023 - so I'm really looking forwards to reading it.
But, until I can, I'm going back to my humongous To Be Read pile, and I'm going to start another series written by Jodi Taylor, called Frogmorton Farm.
Book one is: The Nothing Girl, so I'll start that in the morning, once I've had a few hours of sleep, and I'll catch you in the flip side, to let you know what I thought of it!
In order to understand the headline, you’ll need to read the book.
In order to understand THIS book, you’ll need to read the preceding two books.
In order to understand the preceding two books… oh HELL no! I can’t do it. Hehe.
Let me put it this way, pick up a Beaufont book, any one of them, and prepare to be drawn into a vortex of Sarah’s imagination from which there is no escape. The one consolation I can offer is that is a fun and lively place to be, and, as vortexes go, it’s pretty comfortable (although she really needs to replace the shag carpet, just sayin).
I’ve said it before and I’ll repeat myself here. This series has brought back the “Sarah” I love best: a bit wordy, but every word essential… every word vital. Her descriptions aren’t flowery or “beautiful,” they are rather commonplace in fact, but she creates a fantasy so real that it’s impossible not to identify with the emotions not only of our heroes but the villains as well. (If you want some incredible examples of this, go read her very first book, the Dreamwalker trilogy… hard to believe that was her freshman entry)
It’s a gradual process, she doesn’t hit us over the head with phrases like “so-and-so was overwhelmed,” but instead lets us feel the building emotions until the reader, themself, is almost overwhelmed. I’m thinking specifically of “the big reveal,” that happens in this book.
Speaking of which, I suddenly need to go get some fries. See you after the next book. One last thing before I go, apropos of absolutely nothing: Chili without beans is just soupy meat, not chili. There! I said it. Now pass me a Pepsi.
Book three and the excitement and action just keeps on rolling. Rose has a lot of growing up and accepting to do as she continues to hunt for the missing book that contains the Shadow covens secrets. The world building continues to enthral and the storyline is fast paced, action packed and our characters well they are, simply put amazing especially Rose with everything that has been thrown her way in such a short time. Elvis, well our little Chinese dragon, he’s all laughs and fun but he has Rose’s back when she needs him. It’s a fantastic addition to this series, it’s exciting, it’s tense and with surprises and twists thrown in our path, I can definitely say I’m hooked!
Becoming a Beaufont ( The Undoubtable Rose Beaufont book 3)
I loved reading this second book on Rose's adventure in learning about herself in her new life, and accepting who she is and her potential for what she will become! Along with learning about herself she also becomes a badass witch hunter, along with learning how to use her magic. Her adventures are very entertaining and her problem solving skills prove to be exceptional as well as amazing! I really can hardly wait to start book 4!
Rose and Elvis are having a busy day. First they have to find a hidden magician, get Elvis' fire, find the witch who is hiding the book and find the book. While doing all this there are some secrets revealed that help Rose figure some things out. This is a very good series and I am looking forward to more fun and adventure in the next book.
As long as I have read Noffkes books Im continually surprised by well being surprised. Generally I can work out some of the story journey and the details are filled in but to say that this was the biggest surprise yet is an understatement. I don't post spoilers so you will just have to be amazed as much as I was.
Brilliant story, intense, well written and absolutely enjoyable!!!!
Congratulations to Sarah Noffke and Michael Anderle for this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book.
I love the quirky characters, the storyline with a forgiving heart and the obvious love between these characters. I highly respect the author's heart trying to have a storyline for any reader. I also love how they allowed for reaching for their dreams, ie becoming a dragon. I'd recommend this series to anyone.
Elvis wants to breath fire so he has to pass some tests! Rose needs to find the magical that made her and her mother disappear. She needs to find him so that he can help her find the witch that has her great aunts book. Read and enjoy!
Wow this series just keeps getting better and better can’t wait for next book so ring stop long do recommend get reading and catch up woo hoo here we go again
Sarah you bring characters to life with their sidekicks like Rose and her mini Dragon Elvis. They bring humour into the otherwise slightly ordinary situations, making a thoroughly enjoyable story .I love the total immersion within the story. Thank you.
Rose knows what she needs to do but the question is how. She asks around and gets answers then the hunt begins. Adventures to come and always magic. Will she find the book? Will Elvis receive his fire? Read and find out....
Rose is proving herself in more ways than one. It has been proven that kindness will get you a lot further than being a butthead in the end. That horse and wolf proved a point, to say the least. Our might dragon kaimera just had to have faith in the end and proved its cunning.
Becoming a beaufont by Sarah noffke. She had to truly embrace who she is and what she is in this one to find something missing. This one had all the feels on an emotional level for me, and it was expressed in a way that didn't disappoint
