Two summers ago. Three best friends. One unforgettable night.
Amanda Allan didn’t know that her two best friends were interested in more than friendship. Or that she was either.
Until two summers ago, when she found herself in bed with Reed Gregory and Josh Shepherd. And rather than choose between them, she decided not to choose at all.
But since they rolled out of bed the following morning, they haven’t spoken of it.
Aside from a few long looks and a conversation or two that straddled the line of friendly, it seemed like that night had been completely forgotten. Except Amanda can’t stop thinking about the hottest night of her life.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t want to risk their friendships. So, no repeats, no reruns, no second chances.
That is until Reed and Josh decide they’re done waiting—they both want a shot with Amanda. Their plan: two dates with each of them. Then, unlike their first night together, she chooses either Josh or Reed. Reed or Josh.
But it’s during the competition for Amanda’s heart, that Josh and Reed unravel a truth that will undoubtedly alter their friendship. And threatens everything they’re both working toward. All while Amanda’s own life is turned upside down.
And deciding between the two men may not be the biggest challenge she has to face. Or the most difficult thing the three of them have to withstand.
Unless…she doesn’t have to choose at all?
Unforgettable is book two in the Murphy’s Law series. Each book will center around their friend group and focus on one, or more, of the friends. This book may be read as a standalone but contains spoilers from book one.
Grace Turner lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and two rambunctious pups and has a revolving door full of friends and family always visiting. By day, she works as a lowly paralegal, and by night she reads, writes, and breathes contemporary romance.
[arc review] Thank you to NetGalley, Grace Turner, and Xpresso Book Tours for providing an arc in exchange for an honest review. Unforgettable releases March 18, 2023
This is the second book in the Murphy’s Law series and I would recommend reading the first book before this if you haven’t already.
Told in 3 pov’s, we have Amanda, Reed, and Josh who explore being in an MMF relationship after having a close friendship for more than 10 years. We originally got to meet them in “Unexpected” (Josh being Luke’s brother), where we learned that these three had a very memorable threesome one night in July.
The start of this story finds us at Luke and Hazel’s wedding rehearsal. It’s been nearly a year and a half since Amanda, Josh, and Reed found themselves together, and despite trying to ignore their feelings or that night altogether, things start to catch up and they can no longer brush off the tension.
Both men want Amanda, so they agree to each take her on a date where the end result would be her choosing one of them… but what if she didn’t have to choose?
This definitely delivered in the spice department. There was no shortage of scenes throughout, ranging from MF, MM, and MMF combinations.
I was cautious at first with the two strong alpha personalities and the competitiveness over Amanda, but eventually it all worked out. Although we got all three perspectives to read from, I felt that this lacked the necessary on page dialogue between Josh and Reed to strengthen the believability of their dynamic of the relationship, especially since this part of their sexuality was so new and out of the box for them. I just wanted more showing instead of telling between the two male leads — two good examples of this would have been when CJ showed up at her door and they’d established what they were within 30 seconds of her answering the door, or when it was written in the space of one sentence that they'd considered buying a house and moving in with Amanda. It just felt like their lives especially were lived more outside of the book we got.
Some things I loved were the movie dates and quotes, the pivot scene, and seeing Josh navigate co-parenting with each parent having significant development with their respective partner(s).
I’m excited to see what will transpire between James and Ivy in book 3!!
I absolutely loved this book and probably true to its title, it will be unforgettable. The development between A+J, A+R, and J+R, it was well written en beautiful to witness. CJ was a creep from the start and Adam a shitty brother. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!
Are you looking for a hot AF best friends romance? Because let me tell you… This baby includes not one but two best friends in the package for our heroine 🔥
I’m quite picky when it comes to MMF Romance. Same with Why Choose romances as well. If they aren’t done well and are completely unbelieveable then its a waste of my time and I get a tad grumpy about it. 🤣
Unforgettable is Book 2 in Grace Turner’s Murphy’s Law series.
After one unforgettable night with her best friends, (oh Hi book title 😉) our heroine Amanda still has a fantastic and strong friendship with her two best friends Josh and Reed.
It was only one time. One time that the three of them don’t talk about. It happened and thats it. But each of them haven’t forgotten how perfect it was. 👀
Told in triple POV, we find out all 3 of their stories. Their childhood history, current life problems, their pasts. We get to know all of them really well and thats what made me love this book.
Some MMF romances that i’ve read, I always feels like there is a stronger connection to one pair and the third person is just a third wheel but I found that Amanda, Josh and Reed’s love for each other was all equal.
What was a huge surprise was the MM Romance scenes. Like Damn it was Hot AF. 🔥
The smut in this book was ON FIRE and I was here for it 🥵🥵
Loved also seeing an update of Luke and Hazel from book 1 as well 🥰
Unforgettable wasn’t all smut and erotica which i’m thankful for because I get bored and start to skim but it was so hot that I think I need a palatte cleanser and might go for a closed door romance next….👀
BAHAHA joke.🤣🤣🤣🤣 *goes to reread her Unforgettable kindle highlights.😳😆🤗🤪
Easily the best MMF I’ve read!
Thank you @graceturnerauthor for the ARC opportunity. 🫶🏻
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ sexy AF stars / 5 stars.
If you love:
✨ friends to lovers ✨ MMF, MFM, MF, DP ✨ praise kink, dirty talk hand necklaces 🥵 ✨ suspense ✨ SMUT 🔥🔥🔥🔥 ✨ raw emotional scenes ✨ sexual discoveries
Gran libro
OMG, that was amazing! I admit I am a sucker for a well written mfm/mmf and boy did this author knock my socks off. I generally have low expectations for this specific genre due to most books just end up being smut without context. But again wow, this was complex and exciting and sexy and hot and…. I could have easily read a couple hundred more pages…. I want more!!!!!!
Grace Turner is a national treasure and this book deserves a place in the Romance Hall of Fame. That's the review.
Ok (catching my breath)......This is officially my new favorite series. I loved the first book and still think about Hazel & Luke frequently (6 mths after reading it). This book was a WHOLE DIFFERENT RIDE - and I think I might love it even more.
First of all, Josh stuck in my head after the 1st book. There was just something about him - he felt a little lost, misguided but a ray of sunshine determined to find his way. And boy, does Josh find his way in this book. He actually finds multiple ways in various positions and all kinds of roads that were previously untraveled....
This starts as MFM - evolves to something more - but it's in that journey & process that Grace Turner weaves her magic. I'm not a huge fan of threesomes books just because I think it's difficult to portray physical and emotional complexities of these triangles. There's a lot of focus on the physical and you don't really get to pick apart the emotional. Along comes Unforgettable & says - hold my hat. It's just really beautifully written, in terms of their emotional and physical awakenings, and you get taken on a step-by-step journey on how it all unfolds. There are 1-on-1 relationships within the triangle, some more complex than others, and it's all very skilfully layered within the overall story.
My point is - this book is HOT AF & the smut is absolutely smutting. However, there is also a story here. A really beautiful, emotional story that houses the smut and the combination is pretty darn deadly.
Why aren't we talking more about this book? Absolute travesty.
Thank you netgalley and Xpresso Book Tours for allowing me to read this book. Omg this book had me hooked from the beginning! I honestly didn’t have high hopes going into this book but it exceeded my expectations. I loved the drama and the steam was so hot it was coming off the pages. I loved all the characters and understood Amanda’s dilemma because I don’t think I could choose between Reed and Josh. I loved the plot twist and didn’t see it coming! This book was so addicting and the ending made me really happy with how everything fell into place for everyone.
There was pining, feelings reveals, and also so much love and respect that my heart felt full.
Plus the spice? Some light kink + all the MMF goodness.
Don't get me wrong, it could have been shorter and the crime plot felt a bit unnecessary (poor Josh needs to stop being traumatised thank you). But overall I loved these 3 together so much.
What’s better than friends to lovers? A friends to lovers throuple. Holy hotdogs, this book had me BLUSHING. Minimal plot, that I somehow barely caught the twist just before the reveal, with a whole lot of juicy, spicy, saucy (etc.)…. smut. Unforgettable is an understatement. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. 🌟🌟🌟🌟 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
Thank you for early on spice lol. This was actually real good and my ideal go for a love triangle! I tend to stay away from those but this was perfect. I didn’t read the first book but now that I know what happened I don’t think I will BUT the twist at the end was fun! That person gave me a bad vibe the ENTIRE time so it made sense.
Listen, I am only giving this 2 stars because I am not a fan of a throuple. I think the author is a great writer and I reeeaaallllyyyy wanted to give this a chance, but I just couldn’t get behind it. I started getting bored around half way, but I stuck through it.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Grace Turner for this ARC. It starts off with a bang that had me questioning character development and plot but then absolutely came through with both. I loved the pacing of this. I felt like this truly was three individual personalities that got their times to shine. If you like MFM/MMF you’ll love this one. I felt like I kept thinking about the characters and waiting for a free moment to dive back into it. And the spice was plentiful with variety, love to see it!
ngl i kinda skimmed it. i was more interested in reed and josh and i was upset it took them over 50% of the book to actually get together. also we could all see what a creep CJ was from a 1000 miles away
Grace Turner has a way to make me re-think genres I usually avoid at all cost. MMF is not usually my thing. Done poorly, I always feel that one character is "less important". Good thing Ms. Turner only seems to write things exceptionally well. Because this is by far, the best MMF I have ever read.
Some slight spoilers ahead. So be warned.
Amanda, Josh, and Reed are some of the most compelling characters I have read in a contemporary romance. Watching Amanda struggle with the guilt, longing, and other complexities of falling in love with her two best friends, was such a fantastic ride. Her emotions were realistic and raw, and I couldn't help but love her for them. And watching Josh and Reed realizes their feelings for each other were more than platonic was genuinely moving.
AND OF COURSE, the spice. Boy. This hit the spot. Amanda x Josh (swoon) Amanda x Reed (faint) Josh x Reed (dear lord) and AMANDA x JOSH x REED (I am deceased). This book has my favorite MM scene that I have ever read and some of the steamiest MF and MMF scenes. Certain scenes really walk the line of romance and absolute filth--in the best way.
I also really loved that we kept up with Hazel x Luke and all the rest of the gang. I cant wait to read the rest of the series.
Unforgettable is book 2 in the Murphy's Law series. This is Amanda, Reed and Josh's book. Once again I will give it to Ms. Turner; the title is on point and the cover is beautiful!
We start off at Luke and Hazel's wedding, but trust me, this is definitely Amanda, Reed and Josh's book. We get enough of Luke and Hazel throughout the book that we are able to see their lives progressing, but not so much information that we forget whose book this is.
As usual, get ready for some teasers surrounding other characters; which will leave you ready for more!
First book is steamy and this book is STEAMY! Exceptionally well-written steaminess with zero cringe. (Thank you Ms. Turner!) This book had it all! The angst, the passion, the pure love and as the reader you feel it all. Get ready for MF, MFM and some amazing MM scenes. IT. IS. HOT!
Would not be complete without a twist or two, and the twists did not disappoint! Sorry, no spoilers here!
Easy 5 out of 5 stars. I loved this book; it was definitely Unforgettable!
Wow. This book is so well titled because it's going to take me a lot to forget this book, perhaps amnesia. I rightly got a little whiplashed at the beginning as I had not read Unexpected but Grace does an amazing job tying the plot points that get us to the beginning of this story.
Perfect read for anyone who read Sara Cate's Give Me More and you know, wanted more?
Swooning. Going to go open a bar now.
Thank you to NetGalley and Grace for the opportunity to read Unforgettable in exchange for an honest review.
This was my first MMF book and boy was I hooked from the beginning! The 3 MCs POV was such a great way to read their story and really helped me connect with all the characters. I love how much they all love each other and as per the spice was on point! 🔥
