Second Chance At Love!!
I love how the author gave a back story. Shy and Kemani was so patient with the girls. Shy just knew Syn was going to be his wife and they were going to have twin boys. Syn didn’t have the best upbringing, she took care of everyone else and asked for nothing in return. Her grandmother was a trip talked about her then turned around and asked for money. Tori’s mammy was getting on my last nerve trying to act like she wasn’t money hungry back in the day. Tori was working my nerves. Blaming Syn like she didn’t have her back. Ain’t nobody tell you to let her mammy get in her head. Syn was tired of fighting with everybody. She lost it when her sister died and felt like she had no one. Shy was patient with Syn with everything she had going on but Miss Toni and Mama Josies and the help with her lawyer and the therapist helped her. She realized that she losing her family and she needed help. Tori found out that Travis was a nasty and a pill popper. I’m happy that Kemani and Mr. Sneed kept their fish date. Kemani and Tori found their way back into other lives and realized that they still love each other. The couple’s chemistry was unmatched.

Good read
This was a really good read especially for it to be a standalone. Most authors no longer know how to write a good standalone. Its quite sad, but Khadijah pulled it off. I loved the characters, the fact that it wasnt a bunch of unnecessary violence and drug activity. And it still was able to hold my attention. It focused on the couples and that was one of the best things about this read. I have hard time getting through books that has soooo much going on due to the illegal activities that the focus of the couples get lost. There were somethings that didn't make sense to me and a few errors, and wrong word placement, but it didn't take away from the story. My only real complaint is all the sex scenes. I'm not into reading all the sex parts and there were a lot in here and they were long as ever. So I skipped a lot of those chapters. But that's my personal preference and doesn't take away from the story being good, well at least not from this story.

Totally Good!
The writer gives a really good showing of two couples meeting their soul mates and in between learning about life. These couples meet under normal.circumstances and find that they are really attracted to one another and know that they belong together, but they also recognize that they have some growing to do. The was well thought out story ,with quite a few real life situations that the writer addresses with so much class. The action is just enough to keep you rooted to your seat and to cheer that these young adults make it I .life. This was just a really good story about life overcoming,having to let your pride good to be able to reach out for help and to know when to let go and when to hold tight. Just a really enjoyable story with some real.laugh out loud moments.

TRUE LOVE NEVER FAILS!!!
Khadijah you know how to write a book that will have tapping into your emotions, all of them at one time. The characters were fully developed, and their storylines were fully thought out. Syn went through so much taking on the responsibility of taking care of her trifling grandmother and sister. I really hate that her sister couldn't beat her addiction. Cocoa's mom and brother got on my nerves SO FREAKING BAD!!! I feel in love with Shy and Keys from the beginning. I'm happy the outside support both girls had in Granny Toni and Shy's mom. Glad that Keys and Karter were able to mend their relationship. I'm ready to read about Kash.

So Beautiful!
This story was different with the women having to get themselves together for their men, and I’m here for it! I instantly fell in love with Kemani it was just something about him for me. I side eyed Ka’Tori real bad cause I don’t know what she was thinking. I felt Synya pain throughout this book. I wanted to be mad at her so bad, but I knew she needed help more than anything. I’m so glad Shyloh didn’t give up on her! He was the realest one period. Love definitely won all the way around. I’m excited for Krash; he had me intrigued instantly! 👀

Motivation that dreams can come true!
All mines !!! When I mean this title fits this book 📚 I felt for Synya, her strength, humbleness and how strong she was! She could’ve follow in her family footsteps but she decided to changed the cycle! Her independence is what attracted everybody to her her vibe was 💯 shylon and Keys are the perfect gentleman I loved them for Tori and Synya! I really thought Tori was going to be the one who ended up married and miserable listening to her moms!

good book
This book ran me through the wringer!!! But in a good way. Very good story, I'm glad I could read it all at once instead of having to wait for installments. Syn had me stressed to the max for a little while there, but glad she got her mind right. Keys is my man a hundred grand!!!! Now the story would have been a solid 4 stars but there quite a few noticeable errors like spelling, missing/wrong word used, etc. that did mess up the reading flow. But overall, good story with a happy ending!

Shy, Syn, Keys and Tori- Whew Chile!
I am typically not a fan of a book with the "flashback" premise, but for this story, it was necessary. These characters took us readers through it then and now, but they kept me interested and engaged the entire time. This is my first book by this author and I was originally going to read the first book of the Kalloway's series, but the synopsis pointed me in this direction instead, and I am not mad at all. This was a great intro into her work/world and I really enjoyed reading about Synah, Shy, Ka'Tori, Kemani and their families.

Oh Khadija, you understood the assignment baby! This book was so good. I felt really bad for what Syn and Nya had to go through. But Shy didn't give up. I'm I love Keys, he tried with Tori but her trifling momma put so much mess in her head and lost the best man but I'm glad she got some act right and got her boo back. Ms. Toni was a blessing for the girls. I can't wait to read about Krash.

I loved this book sun and shy we’re love fr he loved her through it all like it should be even tho they went through a rough patch love brought them back together. I absolutely loved keys and tho I’m happy how things played I don’t think tori deserved him he was always loyal and showed her love from the jump. U live and learn tho and I’m glad it played out like it did.

A love journey you won't forget!
I lovvvved this read. I'm over reading books about guys "supposedly" loving their women and still cheating pieces of trash. Oh, but not Shyloh and Kemani! They loved the heck out of Syn and Tori, and they showed it. The four of them definitely took me on a thrill of a ride, and I didn't want it to end. Great read! Now to see what's to come with Krash... I can't wait.

Thank you for showing the Vulnerability in these couples. It was so hard watching them navigate through their upbringing and to see the hurt. You ever read a book and kept looking at the percentage hoping you still had a long way to go? That was me with this MASTERPIECE. I kid you not, I could NOT put it down. I'm soooooo angry that it's over and also angry that Krash was introduced and then BOOM. it was over. Khadijah is one of my faves, and if you just one click on this, you'll understand why. 10 stars

Emotional Rollercoaster!
Khadijah J never disappoints! I loved the relationship between both couples. I cried a tiny bit, laughed, and hollered! The story pulls you in from the gate and maintain this hold on you that doesn't let go till you read the end. I can say so much more but I don't want to give it away!

Too many grammatical errors
The book is well below Khadijah J's standards. There was time line confusion and overall just poor writing. I didn't think Khadijah actually wrote this book. I mean did Keys father acted lend 10 years in prison or 20 years. Were Keys and Shy 23 yrs old or 28 yrs old. The story had potential, but the grammatical errors ruined it for me.

Wow I really enjoyed this book. These 2 couples went through some stuff. I don’t like how people judge you because of your background,,, just because you come from nothing doesn’t mean you’re going to always be nothing. And to be from the hood then forget that’s A BIG PROBLEM. Smh 🤦🏽♀️

Real Love!!
The Love between Shy and Syn! Sista girl when I say you wrote this book!!!! Grief is something that you have to grow through. It takes a lot out of you and those that want to help you through. I loved how you dug into these family issues. Job well done again to one of my personal Favorites!

My first read by Khadijah but won’t be my last!
All mine was good from beginning to end! I love the fact that both Kemoni and Shy were stand up dudes. Shey went through a lot growing up and still didn’t want hand outs. I was hoping she didn’t ruin what she had with Shy because she was hurting. I loved Tori and Kemoni the most and I’m glad they found their way back to true love.

I appreciated that this was like 2 stories in one. Keys and Tori’s story along side Shy and Syn. Of course from page 1 I was amped up wanting to know what happened with them.

Great read!
I really enjoyed this read. I thought it was going too far into the past and the present would be rushed, but the pace was just right. It gave you just enough of both timelines. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Ya know, it took me a minute to get into this book. I didn't like how it started off, however, i sucked it up keep going. Story was really good. Very detail & didn't leave anything out. Can't wait to read about krash
