Shifters are off limits. But for this hot single daddy - I’ll break all the rules . . .
Inside the classroom, I have plenty of rules. Outside the classroom, I only have one—don’t date shifters.
That includes the single father of my new kindergarten student. But limiting myself to sideways glances at Cole’s powerful muscles is proving impossible to do.
I, of all people, should know better. Until recently, humans and shifters weren’t even allowed to be together. Not to mention I could lose my job for dating a student’s parent.
And if anyone found out that I’ve already been bitten once and how badly that ended, I could be run out of town all over again.
My heart is telling me that Cole’s different. But if I give in to temptation, there are those who want to keep us apart . . . By any means necessary . . .

This was so unnecessarily long, just to end on a cliffhanger and get you to read the next book. What's the point?
Noah's a fully fleshed-out character which is great and doesn't normally happen with kids. Lana and Paulette and Travis are all great on their own as well, and I guess Marley and Cole are cool too as characters and people. But this story was just not it.
compared to the last one I read anyway. I guess it’s hit or miss with this author. Or rather, it looks like she’s better when she doesn’t co-write?
I read reviews on this one and they seem to be misleading a bit. There’s a stalker and there’s an ex, but some people wrote that no one believed her. Not true. They didn’t believe her back home, the backstory to the current events. Some people also said that Cole didn’t want to date her because of his past relationship, but that was just a bit of doubt that lasted about a week or so. The review was written like the entire story involved him actively avoiding a relationship with her when they opposite is true. Come on people! Write accurate reviews!
The story did contain dealing with past abuse and the shadows it leaves in its wake; paranoia, fear, mistrust, etc, but it wasn’t overly done to be tedious as some people wrote. It was accurate and appropriate.
Now the ending of the book is ridiculous though. Like truly ridiculous. The claims made against Marley at the end can be easily disproved and it made no sense that they were even brought forth in the way the were. A lawyer should know it was libel plain as day. One of the people she was supposedly “targeting” is definitely on her side and could easily speak against these claims of defamation. Then she has friends that can vouch for her, especially Lana and Jack. She has proof of her whereabouts and alibis most days, so when could she have done what she’s been accused of? It’s all just really ridiculous. I’ve seen reviews where people are all excited about what happens next, like it was some awesome cliffhanger, and it was an awe full one. I admit, I do want to see how the author makes it logical and relevant to build a story from, but it’s not like the reviews lead you to believe… not at all. I would have recommended this book if not for that “ending” because I find it jut illogical as all get out. A lawyer… committing libel on tv that can easily be disputed.

Marley is a kindergarten teacher who will be having two dozen 5 year olds in her class. She will be the Miss Cage in the rather new Polar Shift Academy, (POSHA), which is the first integrated school of shifters and non-shifters. In this case, shifters are werewolves. Although it has been some years since the Lycans have come out of the closet (I adore the wording in the book- I won’t spill the beans here). Marley originally lived in Leighton Valley, PA. But she had to leave when she left her abusive shifter boyfriend Wyatt. (Do not get me started on that guy). The assistant VP of the school is Lana, a shifter, and Lana took Marley in and gave her a house on the beach to live in and the job, to get her back on her feet. This is all taking place in South Carolina. Poor Marley has gone through so much and I love Lana so much for being who she is and helping Marley.
Since school didn’t start until 9am, Marley went for a run and ran into Cole and spilled his coffee when he was coming out of the Daily Grind, an artesian coffee shop. They didn’t exchange names and it was horribly sweet and uncomfortable meeting for them both. It was also time for Cole to go grab his son for his first day of school- yes Marley is the teacher, lol. Noah is adorable and I love him. Cole’s company name is adorable and I’m not spilling it. lol Travis is the CFO of the company and has been friends with Cole for a long time and is not a shifter. I love love love Travis. Paulette is a shifter and is in Marley’s class in case of shifter problems and the fact that there are 24, 5 year olds. Lol
The book is so awesome and I really enjoyed it. However, it ends in a semi cliffhanger and I want to scream about it. Lol.

Marley is leaving the past behind and building a new life... but the past seems determined to haunt her.
Cole is focused on his son and his business, both of which are thriving thanks to the support of friends and family -- does his life have room for Marley.
This done in one kindle unlimited book ends on a twist that left me rethinking things that had come before, and incredibly eager for the next book. Noah, Cole's son is a fully fleshed out character, not just a plot facilitator or a proper as kids can be in some books.
At least four of the second tier characters were fun and would be great in stories of their own, part of what makes this a vibrant world with such real dialogue and characters.
I read a lot of stories about trust issues, but this one wove manipulation into the mix beautifully, adding to the layers of this book.
God, where to start with this book. Great idea overall but I really struggled to work through it. Every emotion was over analysed. The dialogue tbh was quite dull. Travis and Jack were the only 2 remotely entertaining characters. The adsurd idea that her abusive ex&pal could fabricate and allege all these lies about her was so frustrating. The book was downhill from here from me. Quite depressing really, everything was negative for them as a couple and nothing funny or cheerful really happened. It was more about creating a pack/country politics than them as a couple. I speed read it to the end just because I wanted to know what happened then it bloody ended on a cliffhanger. Sorry, I won't suffer through another dreary installment to find out what happens. I honestly don't understand all the 5 star reviews. The writing just failed to entertain me and I didn't enjoy it.
I always like to warn people about cliffhangers. Im not reading the other books so ill never find out what happens. On another note, this probably could have been shorter and finished in one book if not for the constant back and forth and the fact that things are conveniently not brought up to drag it on. Like the fact that both the police and hospital from her old town knew what happened between her and her ex. So her ex showing up and trying to ruin her reputation shouldn't have worked. Anyway the story was ok. There were parts that kept me reading and so I did. I wanted to find out what happened but then BAM cliffhanger so I never will...lol
This is part 1 of 2. Marley is a human who dated wolf Shifter, Wyatt. It didn't end so well when Wyatt turned out to be controlling, manipulative, and abusive. Culminating in a mate bite that goes horribly wrong.
She moves away to New Middle Bluff and becomes a kindergarten teacher. It's there that she meets Noah and his dad, Cole.
The thing is, Cole is also a wolf shifter, but thankfully, for Marley, he is the complete polar opposite of Cole. Their life moves along happily until Wyatt shows up and starts making trouble.
Will they survive the harassment, the abuse, and the explosions, or will they just drive them apart?
This book had sooo much potential. It started off amazing then just dragged on and on and on. The main female was so weak minded and could do or handle anything on her own. The main male was so supportive and sweet but the female not being able to get over her past and kept comparing coke to Wyatt was too much. The whole book is about the girl trying to get over trauma and it’s insanely repetitive. She refuses to open up and legit can’t Function on her own and all the people around her enable her to just basically whine. Very rarely do I not finish a book but I just couldn’t with this one.
This was a super fun read! One of my favorites from this author so far, and it completely satisfied my craving for a new shifter romance. I used to read a ton of them, and was feeling nostalgic, when I stumbled across this title. And I'm so glad I did!
Pro's - Well written, characters were fleshed out and interesting, romance was satisfying and spicy.
It had some dark themes (backstory), but I wouldn't call it a dark romance. Overall, it felt like a light and engaging read. Excited for book two!
Although the writer did a good job of getting you to know the characters it just seemed to just move along. I just kept thinking “come on already. We have the back story now let’s just get moving”. What really annoyed me and will also prevent me from moving on was the fact there was no warning that this story is left with a cliffhanger. That alone is enough to prevent me from reading the next story but also leaves me doubting the next won’t also leave me hanging. So, moving on to a different book.
I really liked this book. It left a cliffhanger but I can't wait for the next part. It's original with good characters and a situations that could really happen in real life. Cole is an over protective single wolf shifter father that falls hard for Marley. Marley is a human woman that has dealt with abusive ex shifter and stalker bothering her. There danger and drama with some spice.

I really enjoyed this book, been a while since I’ve read a shifter book - this storyline had a really unique and interesting spin to it. I didn’t put this book down until the last word - what a cliffhanger ending wow! The storyline really had me mesmerised with the different aspects to shifter/human relations, the suspense of the stalker, the relationship journey and Marley’s past trauma. This was a great book and I’ll definitely read the rest of this series
It’s always good to find books that show a woman getting out of a bad relationship but the past never really leaves. It colors all aspects of life and affects how new relationships are perceived. The ending definitely leads into the next book. So not a stand alone by any means. Fall hard and fast in the love story for all the males in one family. It was a different take on shifter, human relations. The way society is trying to deal with shifters parallels with a few issues in todays world.
It was good until the end. The epilogue/sequel doesn't make sense. If she has gone to the police and the hospital none of the ex's claims will stand in court. I know it's a book but still. The sister of Cole is the most rude character and I didn't like her. Not sure what real purpose of giving Marley a brother was. He seemed like a random throw in character and it didn't mesh well.
Wow; this was an amazing thrill-ride of a story! An alpha with gentle emotions; a gentle human who's actually an undercover bad@$$; an all-encompassing love coupled with set-the-sheets-blazing action; a non-stop series of unfortunate events; pure evil at work; and finally, nearly everyone gets what they deserve. And the ending has me eager for Book Two; I need more Cole, Marley, and their loved ones!
Cole and Marley meet when she llittlely runs into in a coffee shop on run before school . Then he fines out it’s against the school’s rules to date a student’s father ! But there’s a pull there they can’t define ! She’s running from her abuses ex . And has avoided him for over a year . Then he fines herb. Cole’s not letting her go . If you love wolf shifter books you’re going to love this .but remember it’s a 3 book set !
While the overall story for this was okay (though it felt like one thing after another after another, catastrophe after catastrophe) what really brought this book down for me was how wordy it was. This is did not need to be as long as it is and made it incredibly boring to read at points. I don't think I'll be picking up the next one in this series. Sorry to whoever wrote this one 😔
This woman has been abused by her ex parter, after he not her & she went to the hospital. He licks her out with only the cloths on her back & change in her pocket. She leaves the County & starts over in a new town. When she first starts the school year as a teacher, she starts getting stalked!
I was surprised this didn't conclude in one book. It is long, a bit too long for it to have a sequel.
It's fun, and Marley and Cole are lovely. There is a bit of drama here, but it doesn't really fulfill its promise.
Despite its length it is a quick and easy read, I just think that the story could have been told in one book! I will read on though as I am curious about what will happen.
This stalker, abusive ex, alpha current lover driven story progresses as the heroine moves from chaos moment to chaos moment. The story was okay I just did not realize it did not complete in one book. I probably will not read the completion because I did not like where this book was headed in the end of book 1.
DNR at 20%. There was no spark here. The writing style just wasn’t doing it for me. Each chapter was a repeat of about 1/3 of the previous chapter, just from the other characters perspective. Normally would be ok but there was t much added insight. More like adding bulk. Lots of lame stereotyping happening. This just wasn’t for me.
Unfortunate it had to go into the pissme off subject
I read to take my mind off of reality, this book was until it took a turn to way way too long of a read and the plot turned into the obserd and reality crashes in. Too stupid to believe. Really the antagonist s would be that obserd????? NO.
I was surprised and delighted to see the story continue with a part two or as one would think, a second story that continued the first. Every single page is jam packed with highs and lows of emotions and action of some sort. I’m going to totally relish the next book.
I really liked this book, but it could have been much shorter. It was very drawn out, and predictable. Overall it's a good book. I loved the peripheral characters so much. Marley needed to stand up for herself and stop playing the victim. Every single time she was in danger she waited for Cole to save her. It became redundant by the end of the book.
Loved the book but hate the fact that it was a cliffhanger and to be continued in the next book in late July. I already know how the next book will probably go with a HEA. Not sure if I will read it!
Omg the ending! I loved this story so much, and I was not prepared for that cliffhanger!! Marley finding herself and realizing she had found a family for herself was so sweet. I can't wait to start the next book!
Wow this book has allot going on and not in a bad way but in the I can't adult until I finish this book way. Marley and Cole's attraction to each other is something you can feel and has you routing for them.
Maddie is a kindergarten teacher, who is just getting her life back together. She teaches at the local Academy for humans and shifters. She meets Noah's father Cole, and is attracted to him.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE a good shifter romance and this was so good - made even better by the sweetest little kindergartener with curly hair who desperately wants a mommy to love and to love him! So, so sweet! Strong characters - both male and female.
