Charles Frazier Stanley was born September 25, 1932, in the small town of Dry Fork, Virginia. The only child of Charley and Rebecca Stanley, Charles came into the world during a time when the entire nation felt the grip of the Great Depression. To make matters worse, just nine months later, his father Charley died at the young age of 29.
However, Charles refused to let the Great Depression or the difficulties of his life define him. Instead, like his father and grandfather before him, he clung to God’s Word and took up the mantle to preach the gospel to whoever would listen.
Dr. Stanley’s motivation is best represented by the truth found in Acts 20:24, “Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God's mighty kindness and love.” This is because, as he says, “It is the Word of God and the work of God that changes people’s lives.”
Dr. Stanley’s teachings can be heard weekly at First Baptist Church Atlanta, daily on “In Touch with Dr. Charles Stanley” radio and television broadcasts on more than 2,800 stations around the world, on the Internet at intouch.org, through the In Touch Messenger, and in the monthly, award-winning In Touch magazine.

A very meaningful devotional! 💯🎯😇🙌🏼
This is the 3rd consecutive year and the 3rd devotional book of Charles Stanley that I've had the privilege of sharing every day with what started with a group of maybe five people. Because of the hearts it has touched and the people it has led to a more intimate and deeper relationship with Christ, I now share with over 75 people every morning because they want a word from God to start their day. Thanks to the late Charles Stanley and his team for providing me with a meaningful and resourceful Word from God that has been a blessing to my spiritual growth with the Lord and to share every morning with the people God has chosen me to minister to. May God continue to bless every one of you richly.

Absolutely wonderful, inspiring devotional by Charles Stanley – I can hear him speaking the words as I read each day’s devotional. Each day provides a short bible verse and an encouraging word from Dr. Stanley that makes for a exceptional way to start your day. The late Dr. Stanley was a gift and being able to enjoy his words is a gift as well. If you’re looking for a new devotional to start your new year, look no further. I'm grateful to have been given an opportunity to read and review an early copy of this book through NetGalley.

Great Devotionals
Charles Stanley has written an outstanding book of devotionals. He has chosen a different topic for each day of the year, providing a scripture and a narrative discussing the topic chosen for that day.
Sometimes, when I need a lift, I may read a particular scripture provided for that day in addition one or more that I may be drawn to according to what current situation I may be going through.
The author has provided many excellent topics for, basically, every situation one may encounter. I highly recommend this book.

Charles Stanley was a go to media pastor for me. I always loved how scripture based his messages were, his delivery and style, and how he applied them to our day-to-day living. I also always felt he was talking directly to me. This book is no exception. I will continue reading it into the new year as the lessons are everlasting. It has been wonderful to read this book throughout the year and to hear his written voice again and receive his guidance.

I’ve read a lot of devotionals, and this is hands down one of the best. Between Charles Stanley’s insight and writing, and our Lord’s inspiration, I will be trying to track down another devotional from Stanley to help with my morning quiet times.

Trusting God with Today is a 365-day daily devotional from pastor Dr. Charles Stanley with a verse and short devotion about learning to have faith and trust in the Lord in all circumstances.
While I have not read the whole devotional, I found it biblically sound, but it is a bit light for me. I was hoping for something with a bit more biblical substances, like some of his previous writings.
If your new to the faith, this would be a great daily read, but for me having read many devotionals and Bible studies, it left me wanting more.

Excellent devotional thoughts to supplement bible reading
I think anyone would enjoy this daily devotional. We read it in our family time together. They're very short and can be read and less than 5 minutes but it will take you longer to meditate and think on the thoughts that he shares. They are thoughtful and insightful and cause you to ponder our Father and His plans for your life. I think it's five star because it's everything that I think most people are looking for in a devotional booklet without being too much.

As always Charles Stanley’s writings move my heart. You can tell he knows the Lord well. His insights and assurances bring me closer to God. They keep me looking up scripture and through scripture the Lord highlights what He wants me to realize.

This is an enjoyable daily devotional written by the late Pastor Charles Stanley. A single page each day provides a short Bible verse along with a brief teaching and an encouraging word for the day.
It would make a perfect gift for anyone, or for yourself if you are looking for a new devotional for the new year.

Charles Stanley and his legacy live on. I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this book but it was exactly what I needed. It is a wonderful daily devotional filled with Jesus and scripture. It was broken down simply, but I would say not for the beginning believer or reader. It could be, but I think it goes further in depth. While that is amazing for some, just a heads up. When life is busy and chaotic, this is the best way to break it down!

Charles Stanley is an absolute master of theology and discipleship, and his latest collection of thought-provoking and insightful devotions may be his very best yet. Anyone serious about hearing God’s word in a clear and concise manner will want to own this book. Dr. Stanley is truly a gift to Christianity.

This is my honest review for a free copy from Netgalley. Charles Stanley is one of my favorite authors and preachers. I would highly recommend any of his books. This devotional will keep you in the Word every day. God cares about every area of your life, and this devotional will help you let God have control of your life.
