Beautiful Affirmations from Someone Who’s Been There, Done That
In the introduction to this heartfelt book, the author is very clear about how her chronic illness has severely affected her life and how she's used positive affirmations to turn it around. She's been there, done that, and that shines through in every one of the 365 affirmations in this book. The 365 affirmations are divided into the 12 months of the year. They speak to resilience, acceptance, self-care, and being your own best cheerleader, whether that's in your personal life or when dealing with medical professionals. The author offers several ways to incorporate these daily affirmations into your life, including simply repeating them throughout the day or making them a part of your existing journaling or meditation practice (if you have one). As someone who has had a chronic illness for decades, I appreciate not only this author's struggle but the way she's turned it around and is striving to make an impact as a positive force in others’ lives. If you deal with a chronic condition on a daily basis—or are even a caregiver for someone with one—you will probably find this book inspirational and motivational.
I received a free digital copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Anyone struggling with a chronic disease should check out my friend @Judith S. Copper's series of uplifting books on the topic. It is clear that her wisdom shines through these pages, and likewise in her two other books.
Thank you for what you're doing for the community, Judith.
