This was terrible

I didn't wanna give it one star... I read the reviews and still thought the book would be a decent read. Nope, this was terrible, I hate that finished it ... please don't waste your time.

What The What……

This book was so confusing. One minute you are sympathizing with Tanisha and the next you think she is the most delusional person on earth. Not only is she drifting in and out of reality she causes you to root against her, not for her. It took a lot for me to get through this. Not sure if I can stomach anymore.

Whew Chile

This book made me laugh so many times over. The main character needs a special room designed for her in an insane asylum. She is beyond detached from reality. Really good read.

2⭐️ I really have NO EXCUSE to have read this book aside from pure curiosity. The book was no doubt funny, but I didn’t like the way the queer characters were portrayed as villains and I didn’t like the homophobic, fatphobic language. As usual the mIn character is unlikable but I think thats a running theme in all Quan Millz books. I did however enjoy the wild ride of having an unreliable narrator. However I didn’t like how mental health was portrayed. The therapist giving the advice to “get some dick” is wild! Anyway, overall it was weird, wild, kinda funny, and wildly offensive.

This was something, I found this author thanks to a TikTok about CC for the sims.

Let me tell you that this 147 page book was a roller coaster ride and I do not want to spoil it but content warning, guns, murder, stalking, cheating, and lots and lots of chaos. I did start book two quickly cause I wanna know what happens.

Was this my most chronically online moment? Yes. Do I regret it? No, but only because at least I read something after being in a slump for 2 months. It was funny but the typos were too much, the characters changed names at times, and it felt disorganized. But I only read it because of tik tok lol

Quan Millz, world renowned author, has a way of writing that feels like every chapter is a voice memo from a friend or a text convo. It’s an easy read, but the story line is wild. A lot of confusion switching between reality and not.

DNF @ 50%. I love that the author used misdirection for an unpredictable plot. I also love the drama and high stakes. The first chapter had my heart pounding, and I will always commend Mr. Millz for his exceptional gift in writing dynamic openings. But the turn it takes has nothing to do with the synopsis.

2.5 stars.

I'm disappointed. From the blurb you wouldn't think the title has much to do with anything and you'd be right! The title part of the book only comes in for two scenes, one of which is completely irrelevant and doesn't serve any purpose other than to throw some crazy shit at the reader. The other part comes in at the tail end and has next to no bearing on the plot save for a few remarks from Tanisha. So basically it has no reason to be the title of the book. The book really should've been renamed.

And not just renamed but also longer! This is a two part book. This one ends on a cliffhanger and in order to find out what happens next you'll need to tune into the sequel. They came out a month apart though so I'm not sure why Millz didn't just wait an extra month and combine the two into one book. It would've been novel length and saved the reader some time.

Another issue I have with this book is the main character and plot. I'll start with the main character. They're very unlikable. Constantly flip flopping between moods at the drop of a hat and constantly complains about every little thing. She does not grow throughout the course of the book either, it seems that is going to be saved for the sequel. She will do a bad thing, berate herself for doing it, and then continue that very same behavior while repeating the cycle. It's frustrating to read.
Now to the plot. Obviously it's lacking immediately because it ends on a cliffhanger. It's the same kind of cliffhanger you would usually get at the end of a chapter but this time you'll have to read an entire other book to see the end. Again, why was this not all released on the same day? Why make readers wait a month and make them buy another book to continue the story? I don't understand. I also do not understand the prologue. It's a nice way to get your attention and have you invested. It's got some crazy stuff going on and you are naturally curious to see what led up to it. Well when you get to it the resolution is very lacking and disappointing. Spoiler for how it's resolved:. It doesn't get much lamer or lazier than that. To get to this part of the book and have the prologue basically copy and pasted, further shortening an already short book, and seeing it be resolved like that feels like a spit in the face. It's the kind of thing that I wouldn't have expected Millz to do because he seems like he's above pulling those kind of cheap moves. It appears I was wrong to hold him to that standard.

Oh and the book has some bisexual erasure so that's great.

I'll be reading the sequel because it's just as short but I can't help but feel like Millz has wasted my time with this one. I do not recommend this particular Millz book. Just read Old THOT Next Door if you want to read about a terrible person who doesn't change. At least Vernita is entertaining where as Tanisha is boring.

I don’t know how to rate this book

.. without feeling like a lunatic. Just like the character I need to k ow what’s going on. Better yet is Quan Millz a mental person lol. Got me out here on this here sceets going insane. Lol! The book reels you in from the first page, then like a roller coaster ride it takes you up, down, and sideways. Then at the end you are mad at the author. Practically made because he has you think you crazy and mad because of the end. Definitely, the title is click bait. If you are mentally disturbed don’t read. It may get you to do some things you might regret later. Lol! Get to know ppl at 90% before you become invested and all dangerously in love.

A Doozy

I’ve seen Quan Millz books all over social media, but never had any interest in reading them. Something about this title and cover art piqued my interest. LOL I can’t lie, the prologue was so good. I had to keep reading. The story took all kinds of ridiculous twists, but it was quite entertaining. Tanisha was a maniac! It’s a miracle that she didn’t get hurt or worse. This book was not as bad as I expected. The typos were distracting, but the storyline was interesting. It ended on a cliffhanger, so I guess I gotta read another Quan Millz book soon.

Is it Real or Not

This is my 2nd go around with this series!!!…It is always the title that draws you in and not knowing what’s going to unfold on these pages!!!…
Quan did a big one with this one, because Tanisha, whew!!!…She had you not knowing if you were coming or going!!!…Just when you thought you figured it out, another wrench is thrown at you!!!…
Love the suspense though!!!…

Not My Cup of Tea

This book isn’t what I expected. The title is misleading. I honestly expected more and better content for the price. I strongly recommend a good editor since I found so many errors, which extremely frustrating. The characters are not likable, and I will not recommend the book to anyone. I decided to continue reading because I like to know the outcome of stories.

Tanisha was involved with a man who turned out to be a monster. This has not helped her mental health. She now tends to obsess about men who finds to be attractive, sometimes blurring the lines between reality and fiction. Her latest target, Luke happens to be the husband of her witchy boss Natalie. She starts to snoop around them and their children and discovers disturbing secrets about them.

Crazy title leads to entertaining drama. The story centers around a young woman whose obsessive disorder emerges after a mental break caused. T a former fiance. There were times I didn't know if it was real or if the protagonist was hallucinating. The story moved well. The characters were interesting. There was drama and humor in equal measure.

A quick, and short read. A story that you know from the beginning not to take too seriously and just have fun. I was waiting for the title of the book to be like a plot point or something but it doesn’t really. The cliffhanger definitely has me wanting to read the next book and more of the author’s books.

Very disappointed

The Epoluge was so miss leading. I chose this book because of the title. Don't make the same mistake I did. This was the most boring and drawn out book. Total waste of time. Will not be reading part 2. I call myself trying a new arthor. Won't make that mistake again. If you are going to read this book because of the title, DONT.

I'm not gonna lie....I don't know what I was expecting when I picked up this book. The title was funny enough, so I gave it a shot. However, I quickly found out this was definitely something crazy. It threw me for a loop with the plot twists.

At some point, I did have to stop and think about why I was reading it, but it did have me laughing a couple of times.

Also... Tanisha? STAND UP GIRL 🤣

Exceptionally well done!!!

Every time I read one of his book I get so caught up in the storyline. This one is basically about a psychotic stalking maniac chick, but it's excellent, moving to part 2!!!

Weird

This book is just weird. The title really does not fit. What is this book really about. It started out one way and headed towards another. I am not sure if I want to go on to the next boom.
