The Fireman's Redemption

What a great read. Very captivating right from the start. First chapter is explosive and wonderful.
The firefighter hero's life unravels after a tragedy at work. He feels he can't go back to his life or his wife and she's devastated. When he finally feels he's heeled enough to return, he find things have changed at home and getting his marriage back on track is harder than he expected.
Well-written and very enjoyable.

Every page enthralling
The first page caught my attention and it stayed that way through the entire book. I was so caught up in their love story and eagerly awaited their happy ending. I sincerely hope this is only the first of many more clean, sweet romances by Jennifer Jansen.

How I felt:
- I was positively surprised with this one. I'm not a fan of a marriage in trouble, but this had all the right elements to get me invested. It had fantastic angst, pain, heart-wrenching moments, forgiveness and support.
- It had scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat, I had to put it down and take a walk it was so intense. They were fantastic, I don't know how close it was to the real world but I felt all the emotions our MMC was going through when he went into action.
- When I mentioned forgiveness, it's not because someone was cheated on. No, forgiveness here was all about accepting how painful a firefighter deals with his trauma and understanding it.
- Because we are dealing with a couple that is trying to mend their relationship, there is a lot of chemistry. It's so intense it will burn you.
Overall:
- This is a clean, behind-closed-door, fade-to-black romance. Loaded with chemistry and tons of emotion.
- It deals with PTSD from our firefighter MMC (lightly tread on) and feeling of abandonment from our FMC (heavily mentioned).
- It is a marriage in trouble romance, where our MMC's are trying to heal. It's full of emotion and it will have you crying at some point.
- A page turner, you won't want to put it down for very long.
