My Tuesday night book group picked this book and I enjoyed it. I realized my relationship with Mary is not one that is shared by many and it is a beautiful gift. This book was trying to sell me on everything I already know. When it suggests to create a personal space in your heart and home for Mary, I looked around to see every room in both my home and body filled with Mary’s love. My entire garden is named “Grandma Bonnie’s Mary garden.” Each flower is a dedication to my love for Mary. She has made her presence known to me through the scent of roses. When I went to her not knowing how I would get through Christmas without my mom, she gave me a beautiful vision of my mother in heaven reunited with all her brothers, sisters, friends and parents. When I asked Mary to please let me know that my mom got to heaven safely, was being cared for, and not in pain, my mom came to me to let me know she was alright. I believe in Mary’s miracles because I have experienced them. I thought this was wisdom every Catholic shared, but I discovered in my group that it is a special blessing, one that continues to lead me closer to God, and one that I will never take for granted again.
