Turning Thirty

Turning thirty isn’t a big deal. It’s fine, even. And Reese is totally fine and can totally turn thirty without freaking out. Well, she’s going to freak out, but not because she’s turning thirty.
At her birthday party, Reese meets Felix, and she’s immediately captivated by him. (But she’s drunk, so that doesn’t count, right?) He makes her laugh but he also makes her question her sanity. Or maybe she’s questioning his sanity? Because you see, Felix is fantastic in every way besides the weird things that he does and scary things he seems to believe.
Reese has a battle with herself (and her best friend) over whether or not this Felix guy is for real. Over whether or not he’s dangerous. But after experiencing something herself that should be impossible, Reese starts to realize that maybe Felix isn’t actually unsafe to be around. Maybe he’s even her safest option.
After all, Reese has never felt so comfortable with anyone in her entire life, and Felix feels the same way. Given their circumstances though, making their relationship work is easier said than done.
But it doesn’t hurt to pretend.

What an excellent cozy fantasy! Nat never disappoints with her quirky dialogue and realistic characters. I always want to live in their world and be friends with them. It can be difficult to find love, with humans anyway. I however had no trouble falling in love with this book! A wonderfully whimsical love story with a few surprises, expertly interwoven with refreshing bursts of comedy. I am in awe of the way Cuddington writes their characters to be simultaneously lovable, relatable, flawed, and utterly perfect. A very down to earth story with a supernatural twist. This novel will bring you through falling in love, heartbreak, and disbelief. So if you are in the mood for a rollercoaster of emotions then strap yourself into the latest release by this amazing author, you won’t be sorry! After reading this I can’t wait to turn thirty.

Oh, this was cute and cosy. Like a warm blanket and a cup of chocolate.
I did not expect the fantasy twist, it took me a little bit aback. But I wasn't disappointed - maybe a little by how rushed the ending felt. I feel like a few more chapters would make it even better, to not fasten things up like that.

Nat's TikTok series made me buy this book, so I pretty much already knew the entire plot... but I still wasn't able to put it down (I read it in about 6 hours) and it still gave me butterflies. It was the perfect pick me up after a few quite depressing books.

Cute and Clever

What a great read! I loved how funny this was but also super cute. Not too spicy, but a little bit of spice. I’m also not a huge fan of gore, but this story is not too detailed in that way. Overall great!
