Always love a second chance book... and this one is no exception! Emma is a bit of a doormat where her parents are concerned. Such a heartbreaking story with a delightful happy ending.

Love That Lasts Forever . . .

Emma Harrison comes from a wealthy family. Gabriel Rivers does not shy away from work, but he is not in the same social circle. But as he busses tables and goes on his break, he pulls out the letter from SkySound Commercial Flight Academy accepting him into their program to become a pilot. Before he and Emma can carry out their plans to start their future together when he starts flight school on the West Coast, her father shows up at the restaurant and pushes for him to give her up if he cares for her at all, convincing him he could never give her the lifestyle and opportunities she has been raised with. He also threatened that he would cut her off completely if she left with Gabriel. If she stays home, her father promises to send her to the best college and provide for her every need. It would be the best for her, he promised, and Gabriel would be selfishly ruining her future simply because he didn’t want to let her go.

Eight years go by and Emma is about to be married. Gabriel, now a widower with a 5-year-old daughter, is on layover elsewhere but is scheduled to return to Chicago the next day. With that being his hometown, he had picked up the Chicago paper and saw the headline he never wanted to see as all his old memories washed over him. Seeing Emma’s smile only he would recognize as fake, he knew she was not happy. But no other female in her family ever looked happy either. Their sole job was to make their men look good. And the sacrifice he made to let her have a happy life was apparently all for nothing.

On her big day, Emma realizes she would never have a love like Gabriel’s, and she flees from her unwanted wedding, unwilling to become Keith’s trophy wife. Not knowing where to hide, she sees a bus saying “Fly Anywhere in the World”, so she tells the cab driver to take her to the airport. Gabriel had just stepped forward to get a cab when he saw Emma. He walked over to offer help and she was furious. She stepped back from him and fell off the curb into the path of a slowly-moving cab. With the subsequent memory loss she sustained, she assumes Gabriel and she had never broken up. Will he tell her the truth that her father forced them apart? Will they reconnect with each other (as he tries to explain Mia, of course)? Or will she regain her memory and walk away as he had done to her?

The Notebook meets Overboard is the perfect way to describe Saved By Him. You have the rich girl with the blue collar love interest, only to have her family meddle. Then amnesia brings them together and they play house. Now add some obstacles, drama, spice, and viola you got yourself a book you can’t put down. I was at the edge of my seat waiting for shite to hit the fan. I sympathized with Gabriel, he kept trying to make the best decisions and he kept failing.

Spice level (1-5): 🌶️🌶️

Gabriel hurt Emma with the worst break up when they graduated high school. Eight years later fate brings them together again by chance much to Emma’s dismay. When Emma suffers an accident and gets amnesia, she believes she’s 18 and still in love with Gabriel. Just how do you explain the breakup you regret and that you now have a daughter? Could this be their second chance? Or will history repeat itself?

I would recommend Saved By Him to anyone who enjoys an amnesia trope. If you like second chance romances, single dads, spice, slow burn, close proximity, economic differences, you’ll enjoy Saved By Him. This book does mention passing of a loved one, other than that I didn’t notice any other possible triggers. For the second chance romance lovers this one is for you.

Two people meet fell in love but her father step in making sure he controls her life hoping to ensure she is who he wants her to be with but fate has other plans. Gabriel sexy as all get out man in love with his best friend, his girlfriend but she comes from money, he comes from the wrong side of the tracks and her father gets in his head saying he will never measure up or provide for his daughter the way he know she deserves so he breaks her hurt through a letter all while leaving his heart behind with her fast forward he found love but lost it when he loses his wife a single dad. Emma sweet I think allowed her family too much control doing, being exactly who they want her to be never standing up for herself and marrying who they want but while at her bachelorette party she realized she isn’t happy hasn’t been happy in a very long time marrying a man she can’t love, will never love when she wants is happiness and the man she never forget is never too far in her mind. The moment fate put them on the same path she runs getting hit by a car waking up with amnesia thinking he is her boyfriend, he goes along with it trying to make up for past mistakes but what happens when her memory comes back in full force will she stay or will she run, will she understand when the truth is reveled about her parents, will she be strong enough to choose herself, and are these two meant to find their very own HEA after so many years?.

Gabriel can't help but do what her father expects of him. Break off the relationship with his daughter Emma because he can never give her what she is used to as the daughter of a very rich man. And instead of running away together, he leaves behind a letter that shatters her world.

Both live their lives. Gabriel marries, has a daughter and loses his wife. He lives as a single father.
Emma aimlessly follows what her parents want from her, always neatly dressed, haircut in order, she shows herself where she is expected until she realizes at her bachelor party that she cannot go through with the wedding.

Both have never forgotten the other but when they meet Emma runs away angrily and is hit by a car. When she comes to she has forgotten 8 years of her life and for her Gabriel is her boyfriend with whom she has a relationship.

Gabriel hopes to make good on his past mistake, but is also afraid of the moment when Emma will remember everything. Living together with Emma is easy and the love is stronger than ever... Until!

Beautiful emotional story. The life of the rich isn't always great and Emma realizes that once she gets back to her parents.
How will this lead to a HEA?
You read that in this great story.

Love a second chance romance!

This was a really sweet book. It was told in dual first person POV and is a second chance romance that will leave you with a HEA. The side characters really helped to bring the story together.

Although I do wish he wouldn’t have listened in the beginning, I loved that Gabriel did. It gave him his sweet little girl and I love that he got to fulfill his dreams. I loved that when he first encountered Emma again, he didn’t ditch and was there to help her. Even though he knew it would backfire and he tried to fight the feelings that were resurfacing, he wasn’t to rude about it.

I do love a strong female lead character, and even though I wish Emma would have found her backbone earlier on, she did redeem herself near the end. I loved that she wasn’t rude or uptight toward or about Gabriel’s daughter, instead formed a great bond with her.

Overall, this book held my attention with a good plot and great characters. This is the first time I have read anything by Alexandra beck, but it won’t be the last.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Gabriel Rivers was a hard working kid who wanted to be a pilot. Emma Harrison was the rich socialite that Gabriel fell in love with. Eight years ago, while following his dream to be a pilot, Gabriel left Emma at the urging of her father. Everything changed in those eight years except the love Gabriel still had for the love he left behind.

Fate stepped in a brought Emma to Gabriel with a case of amnesia. Her memory erased the last eight years of her life and as far as she was concerned her a Gabriel were still together. Gabriel and Emma's bestfriend, Liz, devise a plan for Emma to stay with Gabriel until she gets her memory back. One problem, eight years later, Gabriel is a widow with a five year old daughter, Mia.

Feelings, as they always do, come back into play. Emma doesn't remember the real reason she ran away from her life. This book will keep readers interested. You will want to know when/if Emma will regain her memory. Gabriel has a lot to handle with a daughter and a very demanding job. How is he going to tackle all of that with Emma in tow? I absolutely loved Gabe and Emma and story of their love.

This book was really great. Gabriel breaks up with his girlfriend Emma because her father convinced him it was in her best interest. Fast forward 8 year later and the two run into each other at the airport whole she was running away from her wedding. At being shocked at seeing him Emma falls and gets hit by a car. When she wakes up she doesn't remember the last 8 years and believes that she and Gabriel are still together. They do tell her that they have not been together for 8 years. Emma want to stay with Gabriel until her memory comes back. They two soon realize that they still have feelings for each other. But will they last once her memory come back and the pain she felt all those years ago comes back? Will she find out what her father did?

I love the book.This book was a page turner. I could not stop reading it. It had me in suspense every time I turn the pages. He was a charming dark headed handsome man. It was a romance and I love the characters they was amazing. He was attracted to her and she was towards him. He knew that he had to have her. I feel like it was a forbidden love story. They could not denied their feelings for each other. I was wondering to what was going to happen next in this story. Was they going to be together or would something stop them. It was a whimsical romantic steamy realistic story. As you read this you will not believe to what is going to happen next until the end of the book. Did they lived happily ever after or not?

Emma’s father convinces Gabriel to break up with Emma for her own good. Emma is heartbroken. 8 years later Emma is running from her wedding and gets hit by a car. She has amnesia and can’t remember anything that happened in the past 8 years. Gabriel comes in contact with Emma, Emma thinks they are still together. Will Gabriel and Emma go back to the relationship they had years ago? Will Emma find out what her father did to separate them? Will Gabriel and Emma find love and happiness for a second chance?

Now 8-years later Emma is a bride on the run, and ends up injured and loses her memory, and she crosses paths with Gabriel, who is now a pilot, at the airport. Gabriel takes her home with him to protect and keep her safe, but what will happen when her memory comes back? This is a well written story which is action packed, emotionally charged, and has romance, family, friendships, second chances, and love which leads to an unpredictable, entertaining, and steamy page turner.

Emma is running, she doesn't want to be a mail order bride her father set up but she had an accident losing her memory. She meets a pilot Gabriel but she doesn't know they have history.
Suspense, drama, intrigue and mystery really tows this story along. It's offering second chances in an of sort of way.
I did love the chemistry displayed and really was pulling for these two to make it work.
I certainly enjoyed the dynamic between them.
Well done with a great and interesting situation, I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!.

What an exhilarating page turner! Gabriel and Emma were highschool sweethearts and planning to leave so Emma could get away from her overbearing parents. Unfortunately her father got to him beforehand and convinced him that he wasn't good enough for Emma. Then 8 years later they meet again just before Emma has an accident. She loses all memory of the last 8 years. Can Gabriel help her without giving away too much? Will they ever get the happy ever after they always wanted? Expect plenty of drama, twists, laughter, friendship, family, passion, love and more throughout. Enjoy!.

Emma runs away from her wedding and runs into former love Gabriel at the airport. She falls and hits her head and has amnesia. Gabriel agrees to take her to the hospital, helps her hide from her family and the police and takes her home with him. Emma believes they are still in love and doesn't understand why he is being so secretive and almost hiding from her. Gabriel was told by the doctors at the hospital to not fill in time for Emma if at all possible, so he's trying to give her a wide berth. But when she starts to remember, will she be able to forgive him for making the biggest mistake of their lives, even though he had her best interest at heart?

I really liked reading this sweet and lovely second chance romance novel. I liked the main characters instantly and wished throughout the novel for them to end up together.
I knew even before beginning this novel that I’d love it as I’ve read novels by the author before and I love the author’s writing style.
I liked the plot of the novel and the sweet storyline. It was a proper ‘love wins’ story and I love this about it.
I’m giving this romantic novel 4 stars as I’m sure other readers will love it too especially if they like reading romance novels like I do.

This is a well written second chance romance with strong characters in Emma and Gabriel. The author does a great job developing the story and pulled me in with the interesting storyline. She brings drama and mystery, intrigue and suspense and a strong connection and chemistry. It's a story with memory loss, remembrance, pain and love. The scenes are painted perfectly and the story flows fluidly. I enjoyed reading their story.

Is this a second chance for Gabriel & Emma? Emma is sick of the way her parents have planned her life so she decides to escape on her wedding day. I enjoyed this second chance love story. As teenagers the characters are in love, even though they come from different parts of town, but parents sometimes interfere. 8 years later fate intervenes and Emma has amnesia. She believes she and Gabe are still together. Can he keep her when she realizes what happened 8 years ago?

Gabe and Emma are two people you can't help but root for. This story is one of overcoming. I loved the realistic aspect of how things don't come easy and loved how they fought for what they wanted. I enjoyed reading a story where the guy was a hero without being a billionaire. There were a lot of steamy sections as well. This book had it all.

This entertaining second-chance romance is well-written and engaging. The MCs are defined, are opposites, and have familial meddling causing a breakup, only to be reunited years later. There is an accident, memory loss, rekindled passion, and love in this book, and I liked it.

I loved all the twists and turns throughout this amazing story. I loved that even though it’d been 8 years since Gabriel and Emma saw each other, Gabriel would do anything for her. This book will grab you at the start and not let you go. I didn’t want to put it down it was full of so many emotions.
