I wanted a book on world building, not lessons in misogyny, racism, and how horrible white people are. Literally an entire paragraph that included the line “Whites fear and hate Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians—any people of color, really.” Guess what? That’s racist and grossly negligent behavior. And does not have a place in this type of book. This book was a waste of time. The potential was there but never achieved.
