I want to pick her up and swing her around like we’re in some sort of romantic comedy where the asshole finally gets the girl. I’m the asshole in this scenario, if it wasn’t obvious.

I honestly hate the name Henry, but I have to admit that this Henry (mmc) had quite the charm. Even though, he had his cases of being irritatingly dumb and acting like a complete as*hole, he still won me over. I guess I can’t resist possessive, puck j*rks!

This was a sport, a short story between two best friends that carried through the years severe communication issues and unresolved feelings. For a 43-page story, the plot felt complete, and the characters established, with their relationship going full circle.

And then there was some smut to spice this up. All in all, super fun, short read.

Did I like it? Yes!
Would I reread it? Yes.

No es mi favorito de Dana, pero a la vez, no es mi menos favorito.
Diría que es más soft al ser un friends to lovers, así que me gustó que hubiera más conversación.
Lo que no me gustó, fue que siento que Henry tuvo que pagar más, no sé, una declaración de amor más poderosa, porque solo Em logró decir todo y creo que ella merece más.

We meet Emmy and Henry in the Nick and Holly series. Henry is nick’s son. We also get a peek at him fighting his feeling for her in that series as well. I was praying that Dana would write their story!!

I loved it so much I honestly want more. I love hockey romance and I think Dana would be great at writing it. I mean I devoured this book.

It’s short and spicy and has some sweet moments.

Dana delivers again!!!

I’ve been so excited for Henry and Emmy’s story! And this did not disappoint! I wish it was a little bit longer, and that Henry did a little bit more groveling, but other than that it was AMAZING and I definitely recommend reading!

Dana Isaly delivers again!! I loved this story! I'm unsure if this qualifies as a spoiler but I believe Emelia deserved a bit more groveling than she received from Henry. It was her FIRST time!! That's my only "complaint" 😆

¿que harías cuando se te ocurre besar a tu mejor amigo, del cual estás enamorada con la excusa de que te gustaría practicar para tus futuras citas? ¿realmente lo harías?¿crees que tú mejor amigo te corresponderías?

al ser un friends to lovers es más cuqui pero igualmente… al final al ser tan corto, hace que se pierda muchísimas cosas.

deberia de darse más profundidad al tema de ella con su familia, la comida y el físico, ya que, solo se menciona de pasada y no dejan de ser temas un poco más complejos de tratar, los cuales no puedes mencionar y dejarlo todo ahí.

con respecto a los protas, evidentemente todo pasa ligero y he sentido 0 conexión, química y enamoramiento. La excusa que le pone ella para que se besen por primera vez no está mal. La escena de la fiesta y todo lo que surge después tampoco no está mal pero no le encuentro mucho sentido a ello: ella se va a duchar y el tipo literalmente la ataca allí en la ducha, sin dar indicios antes de absolutamente nada, no se, no se 😔 y claro, como no, tenemos el famoso topicazo de “nos acostamos pero es un error, y acabamos enfadados” 😩😩😩

eso si, me hubiese gustado leer la pelea que él menciona en uno de los últimos capítulos, sobre todo para darle un poco más de drama a la historia.

no deja de ser un libro con menos de cincuenta páginas, así que, recomendado para leer algo ligero o salir del bloqueo

I really loved this short about Henry and Emmy. I think it was perfect for how short it was, though I would have loved for it to be longer, just to see them together before a little longer, though we did get some of that in the Nick and Holly series, so that's okay. I am so glad that we did get to see this story and I would love to see something about Charlotte, but I know there weren't any hints about a story for her so I don't know if we'll get that.

This was an awesome short story, it was legit like 8 chapters and I couldn’t stop reading. I just wish it was a whole book! I wanted to know more about Henry and Emmy’s life. The smut was great as always especially the end scene. For being a short story it certainly pulled at the heart strings cause men are idiots 🤣

If you wanna quick read hockey romance with some smut this is for you!

La historia es un friends to lovers y cuando supe de esta historia no dudé en leerlo, ya que es mi trope favorito, no obstante, no me gustó como hubiese querido. Si bien es cierto, la historia es super corta, 7 capítulos, pero considero que la autora debió hacer que Henry se esforzara más en conquistar el corazón de Em luego de haberla herido, siento que ella es mucho para él y para el mundo, yo la abrazo con todo mi corazón.

A quickie read that I fell hard and fast for! Emmy and Henry’s friendship, and what it built into, was just so perfect. Their friendship is what made them even more special because they grew together, created memories, and were there for one another. Despite Henry having his hard headed moments, their story was just so lovely.

The only thing I didn’t like is the fact that this was so incredibly short. But I know why so I’m not mad. Just slightly sad. Tad bit.

Anyways I loved it. Seeing more of what was discussed at the wedding was what I was hoping for. And I’m glad Emmy stood up for herself.
Hopefully we see more of Henry groveling in the future?! 💳 here ya go Dana! 😅💜

Gosh I loved this so much. My only question, when can we expect a full length book about them?

I’m absolutely obsessed with Henry and Emmy. They could easily become one of my new fav book couples.

I thought this one was pretty cute. You can fight feelings all you want but it's best to just give into them in certain situations.
I know what it's like to have feelings for the best friend, although my experience was completely different. I'm happy with how it turned out in this for being a short story. 🙂

This is a super short, quick read! It’s about Henry and Emmy who we meet in Nick and Hollys story. Henry is Nick’s son and Emmy is Henry’s best friend. This is a friends to lovers, kinda second chance romance. It was a fun read I really like the two main characters, I hope we get to see more of them in the future!

Fck Henry!
All I wanted was a short & sweet little spicy book & instead I got my damn heart broke.  I felt all the feels within 43 pages. I hated Henry & he gave me anxiety & he didn't deserve a third chance but like I get it. Anyways, I need more Henry & Emmy (that epilogue tho) but less sadness please!

i didn’t realize this was about nick’s son. didn’t put that together but i love that. took off stars bc henry def needed to grovel more. emmy deserves the world and she let henry back into her life really quickly. and i think some scenes needed to be drawn out more. felt a bit rushed
