And at Seven Sins Academy, that means there’s a huge target on my back…
Seven Sins Academy is my chance to find out who killed my parents. Hidden in the white spires of Castle Sin, we learn to kick demon butt by pushing ourselves to the depths of depravity—that includes partying with hot shifters and “playing” with fire fae.
This is where I’ll find my answers.
But nobody wants me here.
Not Professor Caelum, with his wickedly sharp tongue.
Nor Arch Sebastian, head of Pride House, with abs to die for and a stare that could kill.
They all treat me like I’m the wicked one to be defeated, and they won’t tell me why.
So when one of the seven “evil” Demon Lords visits my dreams, promising me the truth, I’m tempted to take him up on the deal. But it means betraying the academy and those “good” a-holes who are making my life hell.
I have to the devils I know or the one I lust after when night descends.
This is a dark fantasy romance with bully elements. Seven Sins Academy is exactly what it sounds sinful with fae, angels, and demons willing to do whatever it takes to get what they want. So prepare yourself for a wild ride and expect to be... frustrated.
Cait Ambrose is a dark fantasy author who enjoys writing slow burn stories with a lot of heat. When she's not writing, she's haunting the night and sharpening her fangs.
I was a little surprised that I enjoyed this book. The heroines were well-developed characters. We get some background on all three of the girls, with more of the focus being on Gabrielle. Along with Michaela and Lucilla, Gabrielle is yanked from her life to study at Seven Sins Academy. It’s a training ground for fae to become angels and fight the Demon Lords and their hordes of demons. I thought the premise was a little confusing - no one wants these girls there, but they are considered powerful (or have the potential for great power), and they are tormented by the students and staff. They are part of some prophecy, but the details aren’t provided. It seemed a little odd that weakness towards the sins would make them more likely to be able to fight that later. I liked how the relationship developed between the three girls - thrown together due to their similar circumstances, they didn’t become instant best friends, trusting each other implicitly, like you would expect. They realized the need to trust each other almost too late. Gabrielle, while being a colorful, interesting character, was also frustrating in some of the decisions she made. I couldn’t understand why she and the other two were treated the way they were by everyone else; they were important yet the suffering that was imposed on them left them susceptible to outside influence of Demon Lords.
There were some errors that take you out of reading - words misused, making it confusing. Sometimes I wondered if the term was something normal for fae, or was it just an editing error. Other times, it was obviously a wrong word. For example, “empathic” was used in place of of “empathetic.”
In all, it was still and interesting story of the struggle between angels and demons, with fae thrown into the mix. There’s more to the story for each of these three girls, individually and together as part of the prophecy. I am curious to see what the next book brings.
What a ride! Three MFC's with sass, determination, power and pasts that they all are trying to get either resolution or retribution. Slow burn, each FMC has her own love interest, or is that hate interest? Fae, demons and angels fill the halls of the academy while students fight to keep their place as staying for second year is not guaranteed. If you like a story that moves quickly, has lots of action, that pulls you in, that keeps you guessing and makes you cheer for the strong female leads, you'll love this book!
We have mystery, action and suspense in this story. It kept me wanting to read to see what will happen next. This story starts out with the background of the three girls. Then leads into mostly what happens to Gabrielle and then will lead into the next story of Michaela. Which I can't wait to read. I also rad the free bonus scences that was left out of the book. I thought some of it coud of stayed in the book to make it more interesting.

This is my first Cait Ambrose novel, and I wasn't disappointed. Delightfully dark and dangerous. Great characters, and a well written storyline. Would recommend. Cannot wait for the next book!

That was really good read, loved the FMCs and how the story unravels for them..what I would very much appreciate is a bit more spice, but overall it is promising
