This Spies Series 1 is in crime fiction, mystery, suspense, action packed and adventure. This series introduces key characters, James Herald and Veronica Ludwig. 

The book starts with James saving Veronica from a shooter after they both get messages to come into the headquarters for a briefing. At the headquarter, they are assigned the job of investigating a train station explosion that killed the United States Secretary of State. During the investigation, James and Veronica find Patel Cross, a man who was about the make a deal with Jeremiah Conrad, the dead Secretary of State. Patel Cross went into hiding after Jeremiah died as he feared someone was also after him. Patel gives them some information about the deal he was about to close with Jeremiah, and the details of the deal lead to go in search of an underground called Alliance for Conservation. They try to infiltrate the group and make their way in by solving some riddles. After the riddle, their final exercise was to kill each other, and the last person standing will be allowed into the group.

Book 1 of The Spies Series 1- On The Knife's Edge.
The start sees James saving Veronica from a shooter after they both get messages to come into the headquarters for a briefing. A good read. Slow starter but gets good. 4*.

Our hero and heroine are assigned a case to look into an international group with a mysterious agenda. An agenda which could literally pit them against each other.

This is book one of the series. so a great place to start.

This is a action/adventure story with a spy theme. This is a serial, so the story is on the short side, but it is very well written and highly engaging. The story includes a well developed cast of characters, plenty of action and lots of mystery. There are a lot of questions and very few answers. Overall, the story provides a nice introduction to our characters and mystery. I look forward to seeing what comes next.

This is book one in the new spies series. In this book we meet James and Veronica. They Meet up when James saves Veronica from a shooter. They then move on to become partners and start investigating the death of the Sectary of State.

I have to say that I am really enjoying this new book and cant wait to read more of this series in the future.

This is the first book in the Spies Series: On the Knife’s Edge; it is the beginning of a new 6 book series. The story is about Veronica & James.

this was a strong start to the The Spies series, it was a great thriller from Anabel Bright. I always enjoy reading something from the author and this was perfect. The characters were wonderfully written and it left me excited to read more in this series.

I enjoyed my time with these characters.

I don’t like thrillers, generally. But as far as reading a book outside my genre, this was a good book. People who like thrillers will no doubt adore it. The characters are engaging, and it is a great way to find out if you want to invest your time in the series they inhabit.
