What I liked- This book is INTENSE. Full of extreme highs and lows. There’s never a neutral or dull moment.
What I didn’t like- This book is INTENSE. There’s not a moment to reflect or catch your breath.
My thoughts- I had mixed feelings about this one. But ultimately, I gave it five stars because it made me feel right along with the characters. It took me on quite an emotional ride, and that’s what books are for.
Verdict- recommended, but check my trigger warnings, because this book is a lot.

Here we are back with the Souza's, and I honestly thought the first book could not get any better, but Holy heck, it did.
André and Sinéad's duet was intense, dangerous, and super hot AF.
That mouth on André....

In this book, there was a softer side to their marriage. Which was actually sweet. I really liked that. The ending felt great it wasn't rushed or felt final for them it was just... right!
I am so glad to have discovered Autumn Archer and her books. I really have enjoyed reading the Souza Cartel books and can not wait to read other books by her.
I am looking forward to more in this series as well with Gio's story.

The thrill ride does not stop
Hostile Bond is the fourth book in the Souza Cartel series and the second in the André, Duet. The story of Sinead and Andre continues in this book and what a road it takes. The cliffhanger from Hostile Vows left me chomping to get my hands on Hostile Bond to find out what happened and I was not disappointed. There is a lot of action, both in and out of the sheets, more secrets, intrigue, angst, an emotional roller-coaster and more all written into the story of this couple. Another fantastic read by Autumn Archer!

Well, I wanted answers. And boy, did I get them. And a whole boatload of secrets came tumbling out with them. Why Sinead first ran. Where loyalties truly lie. And the perception of family members who really shouldn’t know so much. But through it all, Andre and Sinead manage to find their way to each other. They communicate more, and far better than they first did. And they learn from past mistakes. Or do they?
I was afraid of what some answers may be here, and I can honestly say that I was thrown by one of them. Yeah, I’d expected some treachery, but dual betrayals that cut so deep? I didn’t see that coming. This half of the duet kept me guessing and wondering about motives, hearts, and bonds while also keeping me fully invested in how it all works out.
I wasn’t disappointed by this couple. And I’m pretty sure Giovanni is going to drag us through the wringer while he fights with his heart and desire, too.

LOVED this book! It was non-stop action and never slowed down! This is a mafia/cartel romance with about every trope imaginable.

Andre is an OTT possessive alpha MMC, reformed playboy, cartel leader, wild and spontaneous. One night on a yacht, he runs into his childhood best friend who had disappeared when they were younger and he never knew why. She has just been kidnapped by her cruel mafia father and is being married off against her wishes. Upon finding her again, she pleads with him to save her and he decides he has to have her for himself. He proceeds to win her hand in marriage in a poker game and they get married that night, forming a new alliance between two very dangerous families.
It obviously takes them some time to get reacquainted and learn who they both are as adults and the “it’s only ever been you” trope plays out. There are motorcycle chases, yacht explosions, kidnapping, bombings, lotttssss of really great spice 🔥🔥🔥, sentimental moments, cute nicknames, and almost every kink you can imagine.
I also loved the character development and watching how they both grew into their full potential throughout the book. There was angst, a constant push and pull power struggle, and ultimately a HEA.
The series continues to improve with each brother’s story and I cannot wait to read Giovanni’s story next. The way it was teased at the end sounds so good!! If you love mafia books, then I 💯 recommend this interconnected duet!

We finally get to all the secrets that had us sitting on the edge of our seats at the end of book one. Hostile Bond is book two in Ms. Archer's Andre & Sinead Duet and book four of the Souxz Cartel series. Ms. Archer always delivers a story full of suspense, twists and turns, steam and captivating storylines. When Andre and Sinaed were married in the first book, it was one of saving but not of love. In this book, Andre and Sinead are full of love that sets the pages on fire but danger is always around the corner. A plan to get revenge is made but because of the feistiness of Sinead, things get heated. They are married but are they equals? When the mafia is involved, are there ever any equals when it comes to marriage? Yes, they are closer, their marriage full of love and each of them would do anything for the other, but will family bonds come first? The twists that happens threw me for a loop. Revenge is sought and delivered but at what cost? The ending of this one that I did not see coming. Although love does win in the end, hearts are broken and lives are shattered.
Ms. Archer is one author that I highly recommend adding to your TBR list of authors and Hostile Bonds to your library. Her books have a way of pulling you in right from the start with her characters, storylines and suspense that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.

I am an absolute sucker for mafia romance. This duet did not disappoint.
I loved the premise of the MMC and the FMC being best friends in childhood and being torn apart. The fact that they stumbled upon each other in adulthood at just the right time made my heart do little backflips of happiness.
I enjoyed the relationship building in the first book, and in the second I liked how the depth of their relationship was shown. The character growth of Andre was excellent. He grew with the help from Sinead and became a better person and husband.
The steam was *excellent* and it was well-placed, too. Their encounters weren’t the backbone of the story, but instead added to it and made it easier to fall in love with the characters.
I didn’t give a full five stars because I was hoping for a little more of a dive between the two of what happened when they lost one another. And I was hoping for some relationship building with the other Souza (soon-to-be) wife.
I am looking forward to reading the next book, and will also go back to read the books that came before this duet. The series is interconnected, and I really enjoy series’ that are laid out this way. It helps me fall in love with ALL of the characters and create deeper connections with them since they have their own books.

Nothing says captivating read like Autumn Archer’s latest novel: Hostile Bond, a deliciously dark conclusion to the Souza Cartel series, Duet #2, Andre and Sinead’s story. All of their secrets are revealed, their motivations exposed, and their machinations are laid bare (as in naked…WOW)! Anyone who has read an Autumn Archer novel is well aware of her skill as a writer and her ability to create more than sufficient heat to light the pages of her books on fire, but she is also a master at crafting intrigue, suspicion, and angst that she seamlessly weaves among every other emotion known as the human condition into her stories that give them exceptional depth and richness that keeps you riveted and unable to stop reading to attend to the mundane tasks of daily living (like breathing, feeding your family, et cetera)! I was on the edge of my seat reading this story, waiting for the bullets to hit, trying to figure out whose side everyone was on, and what surprise was going to whack me on the head as I turned the page! And I thought the intensity between Andre and Sinead could not get better, but, OMG, was I wrong! Run, run, as fast as you can to get your little hands on this novel!!

I found the twists and turns, that kept me guessing throughout their story, so riveting that there was no way I was stopping till I was finished. Now I cannot wait to find out what Andre’s mysterious twin, Giovanni, secret is in Autumn Archer’s next duet, “Hostile Secret”.

Wow what an ending to Andre and sinead’s story! It is the second part of a duet and you MUST read part one first, and oh boy if I didn’t devour both books in 2 days! I couldn’t put them down! I was on the edge of my seat throughout!
Sinead is my favourite type of fmc, strong, wilful, determined, feisty and badass. The type of woman to be an equal to a man like Andre, she doesn’t take his **** lying down and challenges him and stands up to him throughout. Andre is a typical alpha male, macho, unhinged and chaotic mmc, the least likely to fall in love and raise a queen to worship… until he reunites with Sinead his best friend from when they were kids.
This is one of the best mafia stories I’ve read, and thankfully it’s part of a series! I’m going to go and read the rest of the series about the other brothers now!.

OMG!! That was incredible. I was hooked on every word right from the start and could not put this one down. It was filled with emotional turmoil, drama, suspense, violence, passion and love. Andre and Sinead took me on one hell of a journey and had my heart in a vice throughout. I never wanted to let these two go in the end.
Andre and Sinead needed to have their happy ever after but first there would be a lot of twists and turns, ups and downs and explosive revelations before they could even contemplate any kind of happiness. Their intense connection and explosive chemistry never waivered but only grew into something more.
The conclusion to Andre and Sinead’s whirlwind love story was unpredictable, twisted, action-packed and 100% an adrenaline rush right to the very end.
Loved it and can’t wait for the next story in this amazing series.

Okay Autumn Archer I see you!!! This was a brand new author for me and this duet was the perfect starter. André is freaking everything and him and Sinéad are nothing short of amazing. This is the second book in the duet and every question that you had from book one is answered and let me tell you the secrets well there are a lot of them holy crap and everything is laid out on the table to say the least. The lies and betrayal well those hurt the worst like a knife straight to the gut. These two are explosive together. This was a story that will not only have you on the edge of your seat but keep you guessing from beginning to end. I was absolutely blown away and now I am dying to get my hands on Giovanni’s story coming up next!

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review voluntarily. Note the trigger warning before reading as this is a mafia story, so expect blood, violence, drugs, death, etc. This is the concluding story to Hostile Vows and wow it did not disappoint with the twist and suspense and whole lot of adrenaline rush! I was pulled into the story from the first page and couldn't read fast enough to find out what comes next. The love between Andre and Sinead is hard earned and not an easy one but the bond they had from so long ago had forged this inevitable connection and fate that they were bound to, concluding with a touching HEA amongst the pain, deceit, devastation and loss.

Dré is a very dark character, but Sin matches up with him perfectly. She doesn't start out this way, but she does find her way. She finds a way into him, into his very being and sanity, she is his direction in a storm. "Me and you". This read kept me on my toes trying to figure out what was going to happen next, so many different directions this could have gone in and the path chosen was a golden one. Loved that he was her parachute, and they were both chaos and peace. Loved all the emotions that he went through when he needed to. Totally loved this dark and delicious book.

Wow what a great conclusion to this passionate friend to enemies to lovers in this mafia love story. I love that Andre and Sinead were childhood friends who were torn apart to only find each other. He's looking for revenge, she's just wants to keep her mother safe. Fate has a way of bringing people together and I love how Sinead can calm the beast inside of Andre, their grows stronger from childhood friends to lovers who need each, to complete each other. This is the second book in the duet between Andre Souza, the Columbian Mafia and Sinead Sapori from the Irish Mafia who were childhood friends but were forced into an arranged marriage.
I truly loved these two and their whole dynamic between themselves and also the brothers.
I enjoyed the brothers and how they had that team spirit but also that raw alpha appeal. They sure weilded it well.
So well written, Autumn Archer really writes with a descriptive beautiful language and a wonderful story full of action, danger, suspense and a rawness close to shocking. Fantastic book truly!!!

This is the fourth book in this incredible series, and the second part of Andre and Sinead’s duet. Andre and Sinead’s journey continues, and what an intense and intrigue one it is.

In Hostile Bond we're back with Andre and Sinead's story. The rest of their journey is as intense as the beginning if not more so. The chemistry is completely undeniable and these two are still on fire! You get everything that you could expect from a great Mafia story. Hostile Bond comes complete with all the feels and heart stopping drama you can imagine. EVERYTHING these characters felt, I felt. What a great ending to a great journey!

I have said in the past that some authors don’t have enough story to fill a duet. But the exact opposite can be said about this duet. This is the second half (hostile vows is the first) and honestly it blew away all expectations.
Sinead. What a badass. I love her, she holds her own around a bunch of mafia lords and still comes out on top. With andre by her side these two are unstoppable.
Andre. Gah. I wish he was real.

Three crime families come together, and chaos is the result. And Andre is not the craziest one in his family. I liked that Teresa reached out to Sinead at a point when she needed a friend. There are so many secrets revealed, so many surprises. This is the incredible conclusion to the Andre/Sinead duet, and the 4th book in the series. Giovanni is next, and I can't wait! What a great, captivating read. This book is about Andre and Sinead who knew each other as children growing up. Sinead had a hard life growing up and now that they are married he is trying to help her with all the bad things. This book is full of all the things you want in a dark, mafia romance and much more.

A great conclusion to Sin and Andre' story, it was full of drama, angst and steam. There is also a decent plotline full of action and typical Mafia drama, this is not for the faint of heart and has plenty of triggers! The book was quick paced and i didn't want it to end, i certainly went on an emotional rollercoaster with this one!.

It was alright…
I truly like this Souza romance but it was lacking a little bit of something for me although I can’t pin point what. It was good, mostly well written and allowed for the loose ends to be tied up which is nice I suppose.
For the record though…Sean’s death was too nice.

Andre and Souza are an intense couple for sure. From the first page to the last, I was completely immersed. The twists and turns were wild. Had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. This story has so much going on in it. Secrets and betrayal. Chaos and danger. It was so intense that I devoured this book. I can’t wait to read what comes next.
