🥺

4.5✨ this was a really good story; it is a marriage in distress trope and a stand-alone. Jabari is a good man! He works at a bank and Tamia is an author. She is career driven and unwilling to compromise. At the beginning, the characters are already having communication issues and it continues to spiral. Not saying Jabari never did anything wrong but I felt like he was putting in more effort than Tamia. The flow of the story was pretty good, I liked the side characters. I felt like the situation with Tamia’s sister was a prime example of what could happen when you suffer in silence for so long. And it seemed that was the path Tamia and Jabari were headed, especially when Tamia almost lost her life. 🥺overall this was a good introduction to this authors work and I will be reading more.

😍😍

I loved this story of a couple working out their issues and not giving up on their marriage although things were hard. Jabari is a banker who has just gotten promoted to CFO. Tamia is an author who is struggling to manage her career and her marriage. Jabari has always been the one to go out of his way to show his love and appreciation for his wife but lately everything he does and his accomplishments go unnoticed. As Jabari starts to pull away and find comfort in co workers time Tamia finds out and it threatens to make things unrepairable. Loved Jabari and the fact he always brought Tamia roses and knew their specific meaning. Tamia at times irked me because she was really unreasonable and almost lost a good man. I felt bad for Tracy and her situation. I wanna know what’s really up with Trina because she seems to have other issues. But it was a good read.

Relatable love

A Dozen Roses definitely kept me interested!! This is the story of the a marriage on the verge of collapse. Jabari and Tamia are high school sweethearts who have managed to have a successful marriage, even when some doubted their union. A lack of communication, and a lack of attention throws their marriage into a space that they may not be able to come back from. This is a great story by Cocoa that is very real when it comes to the ups and downs in a marriage. I’m hoping we get a story about Tracy too

Roses

This was a cute love story. Thankful for the energy Jabari used to be THE man. Happy he got what he was asking for even if he had to go through drama to make it. I wanted Tracy to be ok but I guess that would have to be another story.
The author did an awesome job with this one!

Happy Reading‼️

This book was everything! It took me on a emotional roller! It’s not just a book about love! But about communication, commitment, accountability, and fighting one’s demons. Sensational job!

Good read

I enjoyed this story. It was slow in some chapters but picked back up. I'm happy Tamia got it together before she lost her husband.
