Jayden Sinclair has known this day was coming. No matter how much work he put in during his successful hockey career, his injuries have become too significant to overcome.
With Baylor and their boys by his side, he's forced to make a tough decision about his career. But while the Assassins have become his professional family, his real family has always been looking out for him too. And they have conspired to create a new opportunity for his future on the ice.
My name is Toni aleo and I'm a #PredHead, #sherrio, #potterhead, and part of the #familybusiness!
I am also a wife to my amazing husband, mother of a wrestler and a gymnast, and also a fur momma to Phoebe, Gaston el Papillon & Winston.
You can usually find me hollering for the whole Nashville Predators since I'll never give my heart to one player again. When I'm not in the gym getting swole, I'm usually writing, trying to make my dreams a reality or being a taxi for my kids. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, Supernatural, Disney and anything that sparkles! I'm pretty sure I was Belle in a past life and if I could be on any show it would be supernatural so I can hunt with Sam and Dean.
I love Toni's Hockey books and was so excited to get back into these characters. I was especially excited that this was a Baylor and Jayden Sinclair book. It was SO short though. Even for a novella. I wish it was longer, it left me wanting so much more but I enjoyed what I read and I really hope this is a set up for their oldest son who is high school age.
Pucks, Sticks and a New Barn by Toni Aleo was a novella within her Assassins series. It must be read as part of the series. It was a very short update on Jayden and Baylor Sinclair (Bellevue Bullies, Clipped by Love). It was emotional and to the point. And at only forty two pages, it read like a long epilogue. For the price, it would have been better as a part of a bigger novella with updates on all of the Sinclair brothers; otherwise, it was enjoyable and I loved getting a look into their new life. As always, it portrayed the loyalty and bond of both the family and the team.
Short story that gives us an idea what happens to Baylor and Jayden. I love this short story, because I got to experience how close the Sinclair family is. And when a crisis happens all stand up and try to help.
This was a wonderful but sad update to both Bellevue Bullies & Assassins series. As 1 door closes on a career a new one opens. After devastating news Jayden & Baylor both have a new outlook on their future with new careers they never expected. So many tears shed & Kleenex used as Jayden says goodbye to the Assassin's but so much happiness as he starts his new path. Definitely enjoyed it & definitely recommend.
5 stars for Pucks, Sticks and a New Barn by Toni Aleo
I freaking love the Sinclairs in this amazing short story. It is an amazing read that deals with a very important issue in hockey, concussions, and the end of one's career. It was nice to catch up with all of the Sinclairs. This read was a short one, but I wanted the storyline to keep going. Can't wait for the next installment of Nashville Assassins or Bellevue Bullies.
Loved this book and loved catching up with Jayden and Baylor. I love the Assassins (and Bellevue Bullies) and love seeing where they are now and what’s in their future. A MUST read, well written and worth your time. Can’t wait for more books!!!!!!!,
An extended epilogue of Baylor and Jayden’s story of what happened after his latest concussion ends his career. A bittersweet early end to his career but we’re reminded just how much the Sinclair family loves and supports each other.
For Jayden and Baylor, this is a bittersweet story. Jayden’s professional hockey career is now over due to his health, or so he thought. He is going to be the best coach ever!!!! Baylor is going to be amazing as a coach and on Team USA. The boys are inspiring!
I love when I get to revisit previous characters and see what they are up to later in life. I also live all things Nashville Assassins and Bellvue Bullies. Toni Aleo thanks for taking me back to one of my favorite couples.
Super cute quick read filled with emotions. A story of Bay and Jayden's next chapter with glimpses into the rest of the Sinclairs. The story is a great way to catch up with awesome characters.
This book was like being welcomed back to the family. I loved reading this and seeing how this series has wrapped up, such a perfect ending for Bailey and Jayden. I have loved hockey romances since first picking up one of Toni's books many years ago, she got me into the NHL. A sports addiction I thank her for. I have loved all the series around the Nashville teams she has created and this one again lived up to expectations. The perfect book to end the series and wrap up years of stories. I can't wait for Toni's next books to arrive and see what hockey series comes next. This book is zero spice but full of long lasting romance and family love.
