Okay, the complete series of six books in one tome is wonderful on a cost per word basis.
The main character isn't all that special. He is a consistent badass that always has the answer. He has backing from a similar type who makes sure that he tends to be protected from the political stuff.
The bad guys are cardboard cutouts. Nothing special.
The dialogs are boring.
If you want to kill a bunch of time, this is probably a good option. If you want some great plot, not so much.

Solid military sci-fi
This is the second series that I've read of Michael's and I really enjoy his writing. If what you want is kick ass and battle fury, then this is the series for you. Personally, I liked his other stories better, but that's my personal preference; this is a solid story. The characters are not as interesting, there's a lot of drag at the beginning, and I was hoping for a bit of a revolution at the end. But it's an interesting universe and worth a read.

action plus with plenty of politics
Loved the whole package, plot, excellent writing, terrific characters, tension within the humans and the impossible victories.
Such a difference between the humans and aliens but yet not total difference.
Loyalty, devotion, commitment were three things in common even if they came out of different foundational reasonings.
Despite success still huge differences in the humans on the way forward which opens up possibilities of more books.

Great read
Great read lots of good action I enjoyed the characters. Joe began as kind of one-sided but he developed nicely. I like the way that the AI was used in this series of books.
The storyline was also good. And I like the way that this author was not afraid to make women into good fighters.
I would recommend this book to other people I'm looking forward to seeing if there's more in this series.

Excellent
But I'm glad it's finally finished. I can only take so much and even though it is truly deserving of 5 stars, I found myself scanning most of the way through the last two books. Oh well... If you like clever conversations between the heroes during tense times and eye rolling action where in real life the heroes would die... You might enjoy this series. 🙂

The application of violence at the right time.
Save us from the happy A.I space hippies.
Great characters with realistic situations and lots of action.
Remember one man's utopia, is another's dystopia.

Great Anderle set. Good characters, despicable aliens and battles galore
Liked the pace and attention to character development. Old style space opera. Read them and enjoy the ride. I will look forward to more.

Pretty well written, plenty of action, decent plot. But if you're awakened after a 500 year cryogenic nap? Well I think that Joe has a reason for a little bit of an attitude.

Light reading
Totally entertaining series for light reading. Wouldn't want to see the type of government described in the books, but can literally see the greed and control parallels in today's US leadership.

Much better than GREAT
Sergeant Joe Jenkins is one tough Marine, has been in cryo-sleep for over 250 yrs. Now he's being thawed out, into a society that's controlled by A Is who keep everyone polite, no smoking, drinking, fighting just living a dream. Well a society that plays nice, can't VERY well fight a threat that intends to eradicate the humans. So here comes Joe ugly!

Enjoyed reading this series even though the main hero would need to be Superman to do and survive his battles with the injuries sustained. Get past that and it's a pretty good story.

A really fun series!

Do not disturb!!!
You will give out a Danger...disturb at own risk vibe when reading this series (think Joe's rubbed off on me here!!). There is no way to put this down once you begin. Kicking butt, moderate swearing (when AI will allow) and riproaring adventure across the galaxy...although would really have enjoyed seeing what the council was up to ;. Overall highly recommended read from an kiss butt author!!
