Sir Devereaux is anything but average. Born into a legacy and heir to the throne, he has it all. For most people, it’s not easy being the most sought out person alive, but for Sir power is all he knows. His unorthodox ways of handling problems made him the most feared man existing, sky rocketing his business to the top.
Control extends further than just his business affairs. His desire to maintain dominance requires Sir to seek a certain class of women, but all of that changes when one night leads him to Devyne Lee. Thrilled by the chase, Sir finds himself going through great lengths to secure her place in his life. There’s only one thing standing in the way, Devyne’s husband.
How far is Sir willing to go in order to make Devyne his one and only? Or has he finally met his match and have to accept some things in life can’t be controlled and love is one.

there’s on page rape/sodomy with NO mention of that in the author’s note/disclaimer. not only that but the victim was then gaslit into believing it wasn’t rape because her husband did it. after that it was glossed over like it never happened. fun times 🫠
This was a page turner. I laughed, gasped, and screamed out loud. It was quick and left no stone unturned. I will definitely read more of this author’s work.
There were too many typos, grammatical and spelling errors for me to give the third star that this book was. It was funny, messy and entertaining but get a better editor. Felt like I was grading papers.
Unexpected Thrills and Laughs: 'Sir Devereaux' Takes You on a Rollercoaster Ride of Emotions!
Oh, where do I even start with "Sir Devereaux" by Latoya Nicole? Let me tell you, I dove into this book with no clue what to expect, and boy, was I in for a wild ride! I found myself gasping and dropping "OMG" at every turn—yeah, it was that gripping. And let me not even get started on the laughs; there were moments that had me laughing out loud for real. But the real kicker? The plot twists. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, Latoya Nicole hits you with another twist that leaves you shook. Definitely a must-read if you're into stories that keep you on your toes.
It was a good book but not for me. It was definitely well written, and I expected nothing less from this author. To be honest, my favorite character was Chance, and I would love to read more about him. I don't know who was on my nerves, more Devyne or Heaven, lol. No, but I was disappointed with Devyn smh. And Sir was just not my cup of tea!
Sir!? This book had me laughing and on the verge of screaming out. The plot twists in this book smh and I enjoyed it. There are triggers so be mindful when reading it. Overall I did enjoy it.
Everybody in this book made me mad at some point and some people never stop making me mad. Devyne it’s just so naïve and gullible it makes no sense. She should have known something was up with her best friend and her husband when he raped her and her best friend tried to brush it off. I hated that thing so much. I also did not like that there wasn’t a trigger warning at the beginning of the book for that scene and it was very detailed. I did not like that.
I’m honestly doing this review days after I read the book I don’t even I don’t honestly remember what really happened but I honestly really did like the book I give it a 3.5 but I’ll just put four stars on here.
I always say whenever I read books like this, I love when a man knows what he wants. Sir knew what he wanted, but he didn’t at the same time. I got tired of the back-and-forth between him and Devyne. Everything was just so frustrating. Her dad was frustrating her best friend. I’m glad she beat both of their ass when she found out they was sleeping together. The other than all the frustrating because I really did like the book. It was good.
Devyn had her moments when she was acting slow. Kayna had an ulterior motive when she took her to the dungeon. She had to put Devyn on somebody else. While she sexing Fury and making comments about him. She's a heaux. Devyn had to find that out for herself. Chance is a straight up fool. Sir has BDE and so did Chance. Fury messed up when he went for father. He didn't even have enough men to go up against Sir. Sir and Devyne were hot together, but she was so naive. Heaven kept on playing with Chance, she didn't like it when he wasn't putting up with her ish. They had a better understanding of why their father didn't want them to talk to hood dudes because he been there and done that. They have baby Sir got married. Chance and Heaven are going to follow in their foot steps.
Enjoyed another book by Latoya Nicole! Sir was that dude, he knew what he wanted and made no qualms about wanting Devyne. I enjoyed the sisterhood, Heaven and Devyne were each others keeper. I knew Kayna wasn't ish and neither was Fury!. I was happy that Sir was able to show Devyne her worth, though she was stuck on Fury for some odd reason. Heaven was a trip, but funny as can be and she gave Chance a run for his money! I enjoyed the families as well, though different. Chance and Sir were like father/son or big brother -little brother, either way Chance was indebted to Sir. Heaven and Chance were finally able to get it together and become one. I enjoyed the epilogue.
First time author for me and i am satisfied. I enjoyed the flow of her writing and she wasn't all over the place. From the first page, the author snatched my soul. Nothing like a street dude that you don't know is a street dude that wears his heart on his sleeve. Sir did not come to play. I love him for knowing and being specific in what he wanted. He wanted Devynne. Devynne passed me off with the decisions she made. She was married to Deonte aka Fury who in my opinion had no respect for her. He told her to sleep with other dudes so he can get a deal and she did it. SMH I have to give it to Sir for his arrogance and boldness to walk up in a man's house, rob him and screw his wife and walk back out the door with no fear or repercussions.
First, let me say I had a time with this one. Sir Devereaux is that ninja feared by all. He's looking for a certain type of woman and happens upon Devyne. Only She's married. They both fought their connection but failed to stay away. Sir is a Savage and goes to xrazy extremes to see her. There's kidnapping, break-ins, drama, and some gangsta stuff, too. Sir was kinky and introduced my girl to a world of pleasure she didn't know existed. Highly recommend this one. P.S. I will never hear the word butterfly the same again.
As always I enjoyed this. It was intense and made me feel everything for sure. Sir was not to be played with but Devyne definitely gave him a run for his money. I believe she always knew her worth but when you love someone it takes you awhile to see the picture clear. I loved the fact that Sir called her out on her mess but that she didn't take any mess from him either. And add Chance and Heaven plus laughs and sex this is a banger!! This author never disappoints!!!
Sir Devereaux whole aura screamed Dominance. His swag was different. Even his name give me shivers. He definitely had BDE without a doubt. What he wanted he got & he aint care what he had to do to get it either. I loved him. I liked Devyne but at times she annoyed me. How can you be so naive & oblivious when the deceit is staring you in the face? I also ain't like the back and forth she was doing like I understand you married but pick a side sis. That damn Heaven was was something else. She was blunt & did what she wanted when she wanted. She was getting me alil mad how she was doing Chance like he showing you that he want you girl & you not respecting it. I loved Chance. He was so funny. They was perfect for each other I wanna see more of these two. Fury was trifling as hell. Honestly he was alil cocky for a person who be copping pleas (sips tea). I hated the way he treated his workers. Kayna is the the type of friend you stay away from. She got what she deserved. I absolutely enjoyed the hell out of this book. It was well written & very detailed. It kept me entertained & I got some good laughs too. highly recommend.
Mannnn them Lee sisters were annoying 😒🙄🙄. I almost didn’t finish the book like dang did Devyne have to be so weak for Fury when she knew it was over. Sir wasn’t really giving what I felt like he should give like he had the money, power and respect but no real swagger to him. He let them play with him so much and ion like that cause he supposed to be BDE like during the robbery. Heaven was infatuated with hood dudes but she went about it all wrong. Ion know I expected more especially from this author. It wasn’t even giving her usual hilarious dialogue.
Was NOT EXPECTING this book to be this intense!!!…Sir definitely had that BDE and he let it be known he was THAT MAN!!!…I hollered knowing he touched Devyne’s heart and soul right in front of Fury’s ssa!!!… Fury was tough behind the ppl that he had to protect him, because baby, for him to offer up Devyne so fast because he thought he was leaving this world!!!… Heaven was too much for too long and I’m glad Chance let her know she wasn’t ready for what was behind his suit!!!…
Latoya, you did an amazing job with this book. Sir was book bae, and he was mostly definitely what Devyne needed because Fury wasn't worth a darn and didn't mean her any good. I was so glad when karma found him and Kayna. Chance and Heaven were meant for each other. I loved their energy. This book kept me laughing and enjoying it from the beginning to the end. Can't wait for your next book. Keep up the awesome work.
LaToya Nicole plays no games got my old ass over here trying to convince my husband to be a real Dom😂I want my huha to get that kind of attention shit I might be old but I ain’t dead😜babygirl this book was everything but I don’t ever expect anything less from a BEAST. Baby Sir was everything fine rich and BDE. I loved this story with crazy ass Chance and Heaven. Great read.
Sir Devereaux was just something I couldn’t put my finger on but I was definitely here for it !!!! Not going to front Devyne was working my last nerve but I’m glad she got it together, because I was ready to shake her to death. Chance and Heaven were made for each other lmao. Sir knew what he wanted and made sure that he got it. This was a great read 🔥🔥. Great job
Babyyyy I tell you what sir wasn't going play about d at all my girl put him in a trance I knew something was sneaky about her damn friend kayna like wtf bitches is not loyal or you nigga like damn y'all triple crossed me I'm so glad she found sir and he found her cause baby he wasn't playing with her ass lol I love chance and heaven fury was a hoe great book for me wanting to go to the dungeon just to see what's going on 🤔
This played out exactly how it needed to. The way Sir could not get Devyn out of his system all while trying to get her out of his system was crazy. The way he dealt with Fury was epic and Chance was an even bigger fool about it. At some point in the book the female characters had me wanting to slap fire from them but they redeemed themselves nicely. First book by this author and now I’m invested to see what else she has to offer.
This book was everything ‼️ Sir was THAT man. He was ignorant and rude and I love every bit of it. His aggressive and dominant personality was sexy af. I love everything about him, from the break in the house scene, eating at the dinner table, tracking down his stolen car to the final scene with Fury. Sir showed you who he was and was very intentional about it. Yes I love this book. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
The storyline was a solid concept but the major holes came from choppy writing, characterization, immature mindset of the characters that didn't mesh with what is described of them and the heavy handed dialogue. The story felt indie because of those issues but I finished because the read was quick. I think if the story was cut to a novella it would force the writing to be more thoughtful.
This was a good story. Very layered and detailed. Fury was a trip. He felt like he could do anything he wanted, and Devyne was supposed to sit back and play the dutiful wife. Not!! I don't condone cheating, but her meeting, Sir, was for the best.
Sir was certifirably crazy and a bit unhinged, but he was also a good guy. He was educated, intelligent, and sexy. Falling in love with Devyne wasn't in the plan, but when he started to move differently, his parents and Victor knew.
I did not really like this book, I don’t like that the main male characters treated women like objects and less than what they are. I also did not like that the main female characters glorified being used in that way, one of them did begin to learn her worth a little bit but both were gullible and in denial of what love is. The ending was cute and it all came together but this book really rubbed me the wrong way, though it is beautifully told and written. Spice 3/5
Sir was a special man indeed, a dominate, alpha male. It made me wonder if I could be that submissive, I guess if I found the one that was worth it. I loved Chance and Heaven as well, they thought he was slow, but he was just as hard. Sir had issues with them bombs and I loved it, it just kept it quick and complete!!! Very good story!!!
That darn Sir took being in control to another WHOLE level. Devyne got her a real one and he’s indeed crazy. Deonte was weak and Kayna was a bih. She wasn’t a real friend and I’m glad she was found out. Chance and Heaven was crazy for each other and it made their relationship so much fun. I enjoyed this book as the author never disappoints
