This holiday season, fall in love with a brand-new collection of swoon-worthy novellas from four of your favorite historical romance authors. From meddling matchmakers to fortuitous fiascos, the holidays have never been more magical!

I had no idea how much I needed this little collection of happiness. 😍😍😍 From the first novella, I was sold. This book was everything bright and happy!

Perfect for getting you in the Christmas mood! Now I’m craving white scenery, sleigh rides, and hide and seek.

Four favorite authors, four delightful Christmas novellas! This is a must read Christmas collection for Regency romance fans. Each story captures the delightful traditions, fun outdoor activities, and swoonworthy romance of Christmas in Regency England.

“A Family Christmas” by Sally Britton: I loved this story of Cyril Grant who’s coming home for Christmas for the first time in many years. He worries about how his family will receive him and his sister, but he doesn’t have to worry with his grandmother’s endearing companion Jane to help him. I loved Jane & Cyril! Theirs is a grumpy/sunshine romance with humor, snowball fights, hide and seek, & family fun. Jane helps Cyril feel accepted and realize his family’s love. I loved her fun personality with a bit of mischief.

“Christmas Forevermore” by Sarah M. Eden: A clever gender bending retelling of A Christmas Carol. Minna has experienced profound loss and expects to remain a spinster, but not for long if local busybody matchmaker Mrs. Jackson has her way. Presented with suitors who represent past, present, and future, Minna finds that her best friend may be her best bet yet. I loved seeing Minna open herself up to love despite her aloofness & cautiousness. It’s an amazing story with even a nod to Tiny Tim.

“Christmas at Cranfield” by Ashtyn Newbold: An achingly romantic story of thwarted love. Hannah and Simon have cared about each other since childhood. When Hannah and her family stay with Samuel for Christmas, she’s surprised to learn he’s betrothed. Though Hannah’s older brother WIlliam has designs for her future and the kind of man she ought to marry she was hoping that man was Samuel. The next Christmas finds Samuel free, but Hannah is all but betrothed. Will these two childhood sweethearts ever find happiness together? I loved the kissing boughs, dancing, and winter activities. The romance and almost kisses kept me hurriedly turning the pages.

“A Thrill of Hope” by Karen Thornell: This story had a bit of enemies to lovers vibes along with childhood friends to more. Isabel and Robert were childhood friends long ago, but have lost touch with each other. After her mother’s death, Isabel feels jaded when it comes to Christmas. An unexpected carriage ride companion and an awful snowstorm leave them trapped at Isabel’s aunt’s house. The time is spent reconnecting while enjoying Christmas activities and creating new traditions. As their romance blooms, their animosity melts away. It’s a lovely story full of hope, delicious tension, and a change of heart.

All of these novellas are fantastic and definitely put me in the Christmas spirit. Highly recommend to Regency romance fans and those who enjoy clean, romantic Christmas stories. I received an advanced complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided.

I received a free copy of, Christmas Forevermore, by Sarah M. Eden, Sally Britton, Ashtyn Newbold, Karen Thornell, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This book has four historical romance novellas. The first story is A Family Christmas by, Sally Briton, Cyril Grant is back home from being over seas, the year is 1816. This Christmas season will be a very good one for Cyril, for he shall fall in love. The second story is Christmas Forevermore, by Sarah M. Eden, The year is 1818, Minna Schofield is single and alone, but she has close friend and lots of Christmas parties to attend alone, their is a matchmaker who wants to match Minna up, will she succeed? the third story is, Christmas at Cranfield by Ashtyn Newbold. The year is 1813, and Hannah and her best friend Samuel are in love, but have not been able to be together, will this finally be the year they can be together? The fourth story is, A Thrill of Hope by, Karen Thornell, the year is 1814 and Isabel Reid is not in the Christmas mood, stranded in the snowstorm with a bear of a man does not help, will this Christmas get worse or better for Isabel? Four delightful short stories, I loved the Snowflake pages between the chapters so pretty. The 1800 where so different from 2023, such an interesting time though.

I was quickly drawn into each and every unique holiday tale in this set. The authors all did a great job of bringing characters to life and giving them a beautiful holiday experience. It's so refreshing that each story is short and sweet, yet fully developed and perfect to read during the busy seasons of life.

❄️ A Family Christmas by Sally Britton

This was such a sweet, wholesome Christmas story!

I loved the Grant family and all their celebrations! And the way they took Jane into their fold and treated her as family. Her heart for people and her helping spirit was so bright and sweet.

Cyril was a great serious character who slowly defrosted and warmed up to a family he really didn’t know very well. And it was mainly in thanks to Jane and her bubbly personality and loving attitude.

I loved their foundation of friendship! It was just so sweet!

.
❄️ Christmas Forevermore by Sarah M. Eden

I really enjoyed the message of this story! Of grief, fear of the future, of love, and of joy. And the progression to get there.

I enjoyed the small nods to the classic “A Christmas Carol” and the full uniqueness that this story had.

Rupert & Minna were great friends and their realization that they truly LOVED each other was sweet to watch!

Lettie & Simon were just the cutest and I loved their group of 4! It felt like a family of their own.

So many wonderful highlightable moments in this story and it was a more serious feeling Christmas story, I felt the light and hope throughout.

.
❄️ Christmas at Cranfield by Ashtyn Newbold

Talk about “right person, wrong time”. The slow burn, pining for each other was killing me. But was so sweet once they FINALLY talked to each other.

.
❄️ A Thrill of Hope by Karen Thornell

What a delightful little story! I loved Robert & Isabel so much I wish their book was longer.

The slightly grumpy/slightly less grumpy mashup was cute at the beginning! And then seeing them start to thaw, and heal, and reacquaint themselves, and fall into n love was ADORABLE!

I loved their conversations & their honesty with each other. It was just a sweet book with a great storyline about grief and living afterwards.
.

❄️ Overall thoughts:

I always forget how much I adore historical Christmas stories. There is something so homey about them. The simple ways they celebrated that truly made them focus on the true meaning of Christmas. It just makes me nostalgic for a time I never lived in.
I enjoyed each of these stories and loved the Yuletide cheer they brought me.

4/5 stars

A Family Christmas by Sally Britton tells the story of Cyril Grant's return to his grandparents at Christmastime after years abroad following his father's death. As he struggles to fit in, Jane Allen, his grandmother's younger companion, gives him a warm welcome. This was a great start to the book. I enjoyed watching Cyril and Jane get to know each other. I also liked how family life was portrayed in 1816.

Christmas Forevermore by Sarah M. Eden was a sweet tale of matchmaking gone awry during the Christmas season. Or did it go awry? In this sort of re-imagining of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, Mrs. Jackson sets up spinster Minna Schofield with three potential suitors. I loved the sweet ending to this one.

Christmas at Cranfield by Ashtyn Newbold brings two childhood friends together—Hannah and Samuel as adults. Samuel is Hannah's brother's good friend, and she has admired him for years. There are some twists and turns in this story that make it quite interesting. However, I must admit I did not care for Hannah's brother. However, I did enjoy getting to know Hannah and Samuel.

A Thrill of Hope by Karen Thornell is a wonderful story to end this set of tales set during the Christmas season. Isabel Reid is struggling with the whole idea of Christmas after a devastating loss. Then a snowstorm comes along and changes everything. A grumpy gentleman is set with the task of making sure she gets to her aunt's estate in the midst of that snowstorm. As time goes on, he may not be quite as grumpy. As Isabel discovers, he has had his own losses in life that have made him who he is.

I enjoyed all of these stories set in the early 1800s in England. It was fun to take a step back in time during the Christmas season and enjoy these historical holiday novellas. I have to add that I love this gorgeous cover and think the publisher did a lovely job with it. These novellas are all clean historical reads that will appeal to those who enjoy that era.

A collection of four proper and Regency Romance novellas. The blurb gives brief descriptions of the individual stories so I wont recap. But this book is full of finding love, with lots house parties, playing games, making Christmas boughs, playing in the snow, warming fires and a some meddling matchmakers. Tropes include second chance romance, childhood friends to more, and grumpy vs. sunshine. The gentle teasing humor from Thornell really stood out to me. I liked all of the stories and have previously read books from Eden and Thornell. The other two authors were new to me. I like reading short stories as it is a way to find new to me authors. This is a fun holiday collection for fans of clean historical romances. Thank you to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for the ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

Delightfully Charming and very Cozy Christmas Novellas contained within this Christmas Anthology! All four of these authors are favorites of mine and I was so excited when I saw they all had stories in this one. Lots of fun Christmas cheer. Sweet and Swoony love stories. Humor and Wit! Curl up and enjoy these delightful stories all in one sitting or savor them one by one!

~A Family Christmas by Sally Britton~ 5*~
I really enjoyed the family dynamics in this sweet Christmas novella. Cyril and his sister have returned from overseas to be with family and hopefully to have help in his sister's upcoming season. What he expects is to be ignored or barely acknowledged due to having been away for so long. But he's in luck. The sweet Jane is there to help him realize how important family is and that he does truly belong. I loved their story and the fun antics played along the with. Hide and Seek and lots of fun snow filled activities. Plus all the family fun! Very charming Christmas story!

~Christmas Forevermore by Sarah M. Eden~ 5*~
We all need some matchmaking friends in our lives right. Or maybe busybodies? Hahaha! Ok maybe not. But Mrs. Jackman sure thinks that Minna needs her services. And thus starts a delightful story of matchmaking wherein Minna and her dear friends Lettie, Rupert and Simon all try to avoid Mrs. Jackman while still enjoying the Christmas season. Oh heavens, there are plenty of humorous scenes throughout this one. You'll definitely be giggling and shaking your head at Mrs. Jackman's matchmaking ways. But Minna takes it all in stride and very expertly navigates all of the gentlemen. Except one. That one seems to be taking a greater hold on her heart and she's not quite sure what she's going to do about it.

~Christmas at Cranfield by Ashtyn Newbold~ 5*~
This charming story is full of waiting and wishing and hoping. Some heartache and sorrow but never fear, there's joy and happiness beyond what Hannah could have imagined at the end. I just adored this story! Timing is not in Hannah and Samuel's favor. Especially with Hannah's older brother William taking matters of Hannah's future into his hands. He's well intentioned but it definitely isn't what Hannah's heart is longing for. I loved the house parties, the friendship, the quiet moments, all the mistletoe *happy sigh*, the horses, the games of wit and so much more! The waiting is well worth it in the end!!!

~A Thrill of Hope by Karen Thornell~ 5*~
A Christmas spent in a place far from home. A carriage ride with an unexpected person. A crazy blizzard. Isabel finds herself on her way to her aunt's house for Christmas. Her father off on his honeymoon with his new wife has left Isabel to be chaperoned by a neighboring friend. Except that friend sends his son in his stead. Which of course starts her journey off in a completely different fashion than she initially thought it would be. With the snowstorm that comes, Robert finds himself stuck at Isabel's aunt's house. This forced proximity story was so fun! I loved how Isabel and Robert slowly start to rebuild their friendship from years gone bye. The sweet flirtations and adventures they find themselves on were so fun to watch. I loved it all!

Content: All four novellas are clean and delightful! Just some kisses and nothing further.

I received a copy from the publisher, Covenant Communications, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

These sweet romance novellas, set in Regency England made me feel as if I was back in time during the holidays.

I enjoyed the slower pace and the customs of the time period in each one. I felt the romantic tension between the characters in their various situations.

From a romance between two people of differing stations in society in the first story, to two adult friends who began to realize they were seeing each other in a different way in the second novella. Then, the third novella chronicled a brother’s best friend situation and finally, the fourth was a tale of two childhood acquaintances who ended up thrown together over the holidays during a snow storm. Forced proximity is always fun! I enjoyed each of these stories.

This was a book of four novellas. I would rate the first one 3 stars, the second 4 stars, the third 1 star, and the fourth 5 stars. I loved the strength of the heroine in the first one. The Christmas Carol quotes and references in the second were great. The third one dragged on forever with a shallow plot. The humor and characters in the last novella were the best. There were many laugh out loud moments and some very tender ones as well.

I love these Christmas romance collections and look forward to them every year. They always have novellas from some of my favorite authors and the stories are full of the Christmas spirit.

A Family Christmas by Sally Britton ~ This is my favorite in the collection and it's not just because Cyril and Jane are adorable, but because I love the found family trope. Cyril is adjusting to being with his father's family after many years away but Jane, his grandmother's companion, helps him see his family loves him and they're happy to see him and his sister. The snowball fight was one of my favorite scenes.

Christmas Forevermore by Sarah M. Eden ~ A fun matchmaking, friends to love story. Minna is fine with being a spinster but local busybody & self-proclaimed matchmaker Mrs. Jackson has other ideas and has plans to find Minna a husband by Christmas. Her "perfect matches" had me rolling my eyes and wishing Minna and Rupert would open theirs.

Christmas at Cranfield by Ashtyn Newbold ~ I love second chance romances and this one is a multi-chance at love story involving childhood friends Hannah and Samuel. They care for each other but something's always in the way of them declaring their feelings--Samuel is engaged then Hannah has a suitor. Will time ever be on their side? I loved the kissing boughs and the dancing--so swoony.

A Thrill of Hope by Karen Thornell ~ Isabelle and Robert were childhood friends but haven't seen each other in many years. Thanks to a little matchmaking on his father's part Robert is escorting Isabelle to her aunt's for Christmas but a snowstorm means he'll be spending Christmas there too. I liked the enemies to love vibe these two had and there's nothing like forced proximity to bring a couple together.

All of these stories are sweet romances with just kisses. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

What a great grouping of Christmas stories. There is not a bad or slow one in the group.

A Family Christmas was so sweet, with a lovely main character full of love and caring. Her personality is so contagious that she brings joy wherever she goes.

Christmas Forevermore is so touching as we watch these friends grow through grief and change. As usual, Sarah's characters are deep with emotion and grow as we go. She continues to amaze me with her talent.

Christmas at Cranfield is all about love and second and third chances. As time moves forward, I continued to hope for the best, hopeful that love will win in the end.

A Thrill of Hope is all about overcoming prejudice and finding a place for grief to live with us but not eat us alive. The characters were fun, with great banter. It helps remind us that being happy again is okay. I loved the generosity that was portrayed also. This is an author to watch.

What a fun collection!

This collection of regency Christmas novella is perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit. I read two Christmas books this weekend as my kids got out of Halloween decorations. Is it too early? Maybe. Did it stop me? No!

Each of these stories is written by an author I enjoy, so I was excited to read them. Steeped in Christmas traditions and true love, it’s the perfect collection for when you need a quick pick me up with a story that keeps your attention, but doesn’t take too much time.

If you like grumpy/sunshine, found family, friends to lovers, brothers best friend and forced proximity, these three stories bring them all.

These four stories are so delightful as Christmas stories. A little romance, a little spirit of Christmas, they are truly inspiring. I look forward each year to the Christmas Novella Collection. They are perfect when I don't have time or want to read a longer book. These stories are witty and heart warming with strong characters who have good chemistry. It is an all around great way to bring in the cheer of the holiday season.

4 short stories. I love short stories as they usually don't dilly-dather as much as others. The third one though I wasn't a huge fan of. Anytime you have "one year later" in a romance book, that is not a good sign... in my opinion. I also don't like when you feel someone's death or divorce is the solution to make it for someone to be together.... Not that that necessarily applied to this scenario but. I enjoyed the second one that was a twist of a Christmas Carol. It was fun to catch the quotes and references but there were a few times where it felt really forced. The last one was prob my favorite, a good ol' successful classic matchmaking scheme. I enjoyed the first but it didn't really stand out.

I would think it's hard to write a novella that has everything that a full-length novel has but a lot less space. I felt all of the novellas in this compilation did justice to giving me what I look for in a full-length novel. The only author that I was really familiar with was Sarah M. Eden, all the other authors were ones that I hadn't read any of their works, not that I hadn't thought of reading their other books, but now I have more of a motivation to do so. I enjoyed all of them!

Christmas Forevermore is a collection of four novellas, each approximately 100 pages in length. Each novella is written by a different author: Sarah M. Eden, Sally Britton, Ashtyn Newbold, and Karen Thornell. All the stories occur at Christmastime in England during the Regency period.

To be fair to each story and author, I have written mini-reviews of each novella below:

“A Family Christmas” by Sally Britton - 4 stars
A sweet story about a connection between a lady's companion and a gentleman. There were a few interesting scenes in the book, but it felt a little short (as novellas sometimes do) and bland. I didn't connect deeply with the characters, but the story was readable and enjoyable.

“Christmas Forevermore” by Sarah M. Eden - 2.5 stars
A matchmaker tries to set-up a spinster with different prospects, but the spinster finds love her own way. This story tried to use Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" as a model for the plot, but I didn't connect with the story or characters at all. The plot seemed like it was being forced into the "A Christmas Carol" storyline; it didn't feel natural or engaging. The characters were more like caricatures.

“Christmas at Cranfield” by Ashtyn Newbold - 5 stars
Two childhood friends start to fall in love, but through a series of events, have to wait until the right timing to be together. I love all of Ashtyn's books, and this novella does not disappoint! She does an excellent job of making a novella feel like a full book. The plot points and character development are right on point. I would read this story again.

“A Thrill of Hope” by Karen Thornell - 4.5 stars
A snow storm throws a lady and gentlemen together in a way that neither of them expect but it turns into more of a blessing than either expected. This was the first book I read by Karen Thornell, and I would like to read more of her work. This was a sweet novella, and I felt that I got a full story even though it was only about 100 pages. All the major plot points were included; it did not feel rushed. This story go me hooked right away.

Book Content: Clean, a few kisses, no sex or swear words, no violent scenes.

Thank you to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for providing me with this complementary advanced copy for review. My review is honest and not influenced in any way by the publisher.

First story: A Family Christmas

A lovely story, about reconnecting with family and also falling in love. I really enjoyed this novella. Some of my favorite moments include a snowball fight and a game of hide and seek. Jane is such a kind sole. She helps out with the children in the household but also helps Cyril reconnect with his family. I really liked the chemistry between Cyril and Jane. Overall great read.
5/5

Second Story: Christmas Forevermore

“Minna Schofield was single, to begin with.”First of all I love how this is based on “A Christmas Carol”! A matchmaker sends 3 suitors past, present, future essentially. Simon is even out “tiny Tim” character. I love how Minna learns from her 3 suitors that her friend Rupert was the one she loved and wanted to be with. I really liked Rupert and Minna’s relationship. Overall great story!
5/5

Third Story: Christmas at Cranfield

Hannah has been in love with her childhood friend, Samuel, for years. This visit she finds out he is engaged to another. However, that doesn’t stop Samuel and Hannah from being friends. Will they ever be together? Enjoyed this story and kept rooting for them to be together even though different circumstances tried to keep them apart. Overall great read!
4.5/5

Fourth Story: A Thrill of Hope

Isabel is being escorted to her Aunts house by Robert who was forced to by his father. When a snowstorm leaves Robert trapped at Isabel’s Aunt’s house, Isabel tries to be friendly to the grumpy Robert but when that doesn’t work she switches to annoying him instead. And when her Aunt places mistletoe literally everywhere in hopes that Robert and Isabel will be under it, they work together to avoid it. But May find love anyway. I really enjoyed this fun story! Loved Robert and Isabel. Overall great read!
5/5

I really enjoy Christmas novellas and double the enjoyment when they are regency novellas! My favorite of these four novellas was by far Karen Thornell’s story. The story was witty, spunky, and just fun to read!! I love when a book makes me laugh out loud and this one definitely did.
I had a few issues with the pacing in the other three novellas. Most novellas are pretty fast paced, because they have to be to fit everything. But I found myself skipping paragraphs to get to the conclusions in the first three novellas. They are still great novellas, I just wish they had flowed a little better. I love all of these authors and will always recommend their books to others.

Thank you to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

All of the authors in this collection can be counted on to write a romance that will truly sweep you away. I highly recommend you grab this in time for the holidays.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc. All opinions expressed are my own.
