This book was good, but it frustrated me to the point I almost stopped reading it. The dialogue with the characters was confusing at first and made it difficult to figure out who was talking. The main characters were all over the place and had commitment issues. It took my a while to warm up to Josh because in the beginning he was with a couple of girls and this took place within a 24 hour timeframe. One of which had happened right after he got Quinn's number and promised to text her...it was disgusting. Quinn was understandably skittish when it came to dating men after being in an abusive relationship. So, she had major trust issues and self sabotaged any possible relationship. The chemistry between Josh and Quinn was off the charts which lead to them sharing a very hot intimate evening together. I began liking Josh when he became interested in Quinn and only had eyes for her. I loved how Josh pursued her and refused to back down. She had some over the top reactions to Josh and at times was very immature reminding me of what you would expect from someone in high school. The basis for the storyline was good it just fell a little short for me. The last thing that upset me about the book was how it ended. The epilogue was an extreme disappointment. It would have been better if the epilogue had taken place further down the road rather than being a couple of days later. I didn't get the closure that I needed from this book. On a positive note the supporting character were wonderful and I think this did help make the book the better. Just because I didn't love the book doesn't mean you won't. If you are interested in reading it then I would encourage you to do so and form your own opinion. At the end of the day a review is only someone's opinion.

Josh is a hockey coach and also works as an accountant. He is offered a job to be the head coach for a hockey team in his home town and he agrees. While he was there visiting his friends, he met a girl but didn't get her name. He runs into her again at his friend's bar and this time manages to get her name and gets her to give him her phone number. Then he gets busy moving and everything else and forgets to text her. He apologizes but Quinn is hurt and just wants him to go away. Quinn has come back to her home town after breaking off with her long-term boyfriend. She likes Josh but thinks he's a player and doesn't want to trust him. Following a traumatic experience, Josh realizes the depth of his feelings for Quinn and works to make her see he is all in.
At first there were a ton of characters introduced very quickly and it was hard to follow. Eventually, the focus was mostly on Quinn and Josh and that made it better. I love, though, how supportive all of the friends are of each other. I loved how supportive Josh was of Quinn when she got an opportunity to get her own yoga studio. I also swooned a little bit (ok a lot) when he said he was going to continue to date her even after they got married. I awwwed out loud; it was just so sweet and exactly what she needed to hear.
This was a sweet Romance, age gap and friends to lovers. Josh is a playboy and is starting work following his passion. This is where he meets Quinn. Quinn is broken from her past relationship. Her abusive ex has ruined any thoughts of relationship for her. These two have chemistry and want to pursue but as expected Quin struggles with trust. Josh has to redeem his playboy ways. He does actually redeem his character as the story develops. As good as the story was, this is probably for people that like clean Romance. I am more of a spicy books lover. Reading the blurb I thought there will be some. There definitely was potential to have spicy moments. Apart from that great read.
What a great start. I was a little confused with characters in the beginning, but as the story progressed it all came together. Hockey is Josh’s passion. So when an opportunity arises for him to coach in his home town he jumps at the chance. Quinn is a yoga instructor who has been hurt by a past boyfriend and her trust in men is sabotaging any future relationships. Love how Josh finally changed his player ways and never gave up on Quinn.

Awesome read . Told from the points of view of Josh and Quinn. Quinn has trust issues and mental scars. She’s made friends with Rose and Elana being new in town. Josh is friends with Lloyd and Sam and Elana. Josh is an unlikely ally but there’s something about him she likes him and sees something that makes her able to exchange numbers…a believable unravelling of circumstances and friendship. Well written and a binge reader’s dream I received an advance copy and my review is my own words voluntary
The two main characters dance around each other in the beginning. The female leading character has issues that she needs to work through. The male main character grows up throughout the story. They have HEA. Can't wait for the secondary characters stories to be told.
I had a hard time getting into this book, but once it got rolling…. I couldn’t put it down. It was hard to figure out the stuff and characters I. The beginning but once it was just core characters, the story made more sense. It’s a super slow burn with limited spice but the story is really heartwarming.
This book was amazing! A page turner from the get go. I loved how all the characters were so open and honest, not hiding much in the way of feelings! They are all such close friends but willing to take in new comers. I can’t wait to read more from this writer!
