A week ago, if someone told me I’d be trying to talk a vampire into feeding from me… I would’ve laughed in their face. Love has a way of making people do crazy things.
Zyon is my vampire soulmate, and I have the bite marks to prove it. But we have to keep our romance a secret… for now. I can’t imagine being with anyone else, but the vampire queen commanded me to step back and pretend Zyon hasn’t already claimed me as his mate.
I swear, if I see one more woman fawn over him, I might just snap. The only reason I haven’t lost it is because Zyon is making it very clear to every single person in the castle that he only wants me… so the vampire women trying to steal him away from me can suck it!
Adding to my list of worries is the way my body seems to have a mind of its own… as though something inside me is desperate to get out. I have a feeling that whatever is locked away isn’t interested in playing nice with my soon-to-be vampire family.
And did I mention I feel like I’m being watched? But that’s impossible, right? Please Note- although this book does have women trying to catch Zyon’s eye, he is quick to shut them down. There is no cheating and Zyon threatens to rip body parts off any females who dare to touch him. Please be sure to read the full sensitivity note before diving into this story. With a violent, obsessed stalker and a protective vampire prince with a beast-like form, some scenes are a bit wild and include darker elements (such as physical violence and death during attack/battle scenes)..
Sedona Ashe lives in a tiny town in Tennessee, near the Great Smoky Mountains. She enjoys reading and writing stories filled with powerful paranormal females, and sexy supernatural men. Sedona has a tea collection of over 300 teas from around the world, which her husband claims has become an obsession. When she isn't writing, she enjoys hiking, free diving, and photography. She shares her home with three kids, four pups, five cats, an arctic fox, chickens, a crazy turkey, and way too many reptiles!
Why am I surprised I miss the world now I'm out of it! The characters were just so easy to understand and invest in. Sometimes the plot didn't live up to the potential of the characters but they were so entertaining it didn't matter.
I know it said or indicated somewhere...blurb...maybe?...medium burn then it's fast burn aka smex once they smex it up...but not that much smex, maybe I was expecting more but that's because the story was so short. Books are too short, I could have done with more build and antics to stay in the world longer, get to know Nathan and maybe more at the end of the book. I am assuming this is the last book in the series, it left it open for more, but it was not a cliffhanger.
I could have taken stars off for the shortness of the book, but I can't, it may have been too short, but that's a good sign the book did it for me.
Now the characters, Journey and Zyon are cute together, although the relationship is very new, the bond fresh, there is no rejection or miscommunication angst. Individually they are more than they seem, and now I think about it...I do wish there were more on what Zyon is and what the prophecy has to do with the plot, what are those shadows?!?. Would have liked more depth on the backgrounds of the hunters too. It was a creepy but worthwhile touch to add the stalker's POV, and given the ending, I now wonder if there are more than 2 books... well let's hope there are.
I also hope they rewrite this and merge books 1 and 2 together, with added chapters for more depth in the world and politics around them
Picking up where Book 1 leave off we see Journee and Zyon working throw the growing pains of him being the well sought after bachelor vampire prince and Journee's realizing that she was a Hunter.
This couple has too fight through so much. Journee has to keep her cool amongst all the vampires females who want Zyon and Zyon not only has to help Journee with her hunter abilities but he is also on a mission to find her stalker whom he thought he defeated in book 1.
Loyalties are tested and alliances are made in a shocking turn of events that Journee didn't see coming.
This novella was full of Action, Humor, Spice, sadness and found family. I can't wait to see what's in store for Journee and Zyon next.
So I actually preferred book 2 over book 1, even though they were short books can could of been just 1 book. The stalker is alive and just as deranged as before his POV’s truly show you how messed up he is!
Journee is made to endure catty vampires who were hoping to marry the prince but finds a true friend in one of them & a guard.
She started her transition into a Hunter but her mate loved her regardless and they make a good team.
The Queen even came around to her and gave her blessing.
The Hunters planned to crash her wedding and did but their plans didn’t go as expected, as Journee saved the Queen & her mate. Then the kind guard died to save her and she went on a killing rampage, killing most of the hunters. (Sadly her stalker got away) then her parents popped into because of course if she’s a hunter that must mean they were too. But they seemed good with her choice to marry the vampire prince & told her she’s now the new leader of the hunters as she killed and took the powers of the old one.
So apparently now they are going to go hunt the hunters 😂
This book had some good spice better then book 1 especially with his second pickle coming out to play 😆 🥵

I honestly didn’t know where this book would go when I started listening to it, because the way the first one ended could have left the story to go anyway. But I find that the storyline was quite entertaining. I feel like though there should be a third book or the book could’ve stretched out a little bit more before they got to the ending they got. But hopefully there will be a third book in this series. I mean with the way it ended how can they not be? The book itself was going at a nice pace. The characters were a little stagnant in their evolution, Journey is the only one who really developed in a significant way. The chapters going back-and-forth between the three characters was really well done. I enjoyed seeing the perspective of her hunter stalker and not just from the couple that makes up this romance. The spice was spicing and some girlies are going to be shocked over the one scene with the two appendages… that’s all I’m gonna say!
This book (which is maybe the last?) felt very rushed in a not-so-great way. While I’m OK with the monster (haha) amount of smut jammed into this short book, we ended up skipping over a lot of relationship building and friendships along the way.
We join Journee and Zyon as they are forced to endure the whole matchmaking thing that the queen set up. It obviously goes horribly and, surprise, the stalker we thought was dead is not dead because Hunters are magical. We learn a bit more about Hunters in this one as it becomes clear that Journee is one and the endeavor to keep it a secret from everyone else. Things around that end up going catastrophically bad. I guess we count this as a HEA since there is the whole wedding thing, but jeez, the forced plot twist at the end really made me mad. Really? Ugh - I guess if we left it where it ended that’s OK but it felt like this book spent a lot of time repeating things and not giving us new explanation or world building.
This was an interesting read and I enjoyed the world, but I was left frustrated, especiallyafter rating book 1 with 5 stars. I felt myself questioning why Zyon and Journee did many things, which in my opinion, seemed kind of dumb.
The constant lack of logic was irritating. For example, Nathan never thought to mention that the body was gone?? And I couldn't believe Zyon is kind of oblivious when it comes to keeping his mate safe, even knowing all the danger around them.
The plot was relying too much on the characters making these frustrating choices. I may finish book 3 when it is published, if it's easily available, but the execution of this book made me lose investment in the rest of the series.

I had a little moment of anxiety when I reached chapter sixteen and checked the contents tab and realised that the books I thought were a duology are actually a trilogy but I’m not too worried anymore. This book had a satisfactory ending that will keep me going until I’m able to read the third book and complete the story - although honestly, I’m the worlds most horrible waiter. I’m terribly impatient when it comes to waiting for books to I want to read to be released and I am eagerly looking forward to the next book. I will say that this book was even better than the last. It was well paced with action, comedy and steaminess.
I thought it was a short and easy read. It moves quickly, so it kept my attention throughout. I think this book focused mostly on the growing relationship between Zyon and Journee. The chemistry and spice between them was hot! I love that there was never a question of who Zyon wanted. He was truly only devoted to Journee. We also got a bit of action, suspense and a twist. Overall, i thought it was a great read! I can't wait to see how Journee story unfolds in the next book considering the revelation at the end!
Zyon and Journee continue with their relationship and how to navigate their secrets. The chemistry and spice between the two of them are sizzling! It is hot 🔥 🥵 with all the details you would love. I liked that the plot kept you guessing and on your toes. Some parts were predictable while others wrecked you. I love Sedona/Darci so much that her stories hook you in. This is such a good fast read. Also, there is a recap at the beginning if you don't want to reread book 1! Now to wait for book 3.
I wanted to like this more. My issue is I can't deal with a H who cries, runs, scared. The point she could stop them from hurting her. She could see the attacks happening. But kinda just sat there was beyond frustrating. I just didn't like it. I love these two together. And I loved her the vampires on her side. Things were hilarious sometimes. Will definitely finish on with the next book hoping like he'll the ending is a new start to a bada$$ H
You have to read book 1 as it picks up where the other left off. Amazing story! Love the monster sex, the intensity of their feelings, the snark and banter! Abner is the villain you love to HATE. Can’t wait for the day he gets what’s coming for him…hopefully by the 9 foot winged vamp with multiple peen!! Looking forward to Book 3! Will be looking for more from these authors!
This book was way to short for something so great, fast paced and yummy and action-packed and full of mysteries.
I read through this book within 2 hours and I'm sad it's over for now, and the third book is not even ready to be pre ordered but I really really want book 3.
Another amazing story with another cliffhanger that I am more than happy to wait for because why rush perfection? Secrets, deaths, a fated love… and a family secret that keeps surprising reader and characters alike. Along with my favorite dinosaurs, this is a new must read fav of mine.
Zyon and Journee have symbiotic relationship that most only dream of! Still weary of her stalker, Journee is trying to figure out how to move forward. With the events that the Queen has planned to marry off Zyon, Journee’s personality really sparkles! She is so funny! Especially when navigating suitor Ella! Can’t wait until the next book comes out!
Picks up from the events of book one. This was fun easy read with plenty of drama and action. The banter was fantastic and Journee remains her normal quirky self and watching her relationship with Zyon grow was interesting. Some parts did drag for me a bit but otherwise interesting read
I'm really loving this series, it's been a fun ride so far and I can't wait to see how this plays out. Watching the heroine come into her powers has definitely been fun. My only complaint would be having to wait for the next adventure!
I think this book is the best out of the series so far. Zyon has got his hands full with Journee. The ending had a good twist. I can’t wait for the next book Great writer
I loved both books. Forbidden love! I would have waited to read them had I known there would be a third book. I don’t like waiting a year to read the next installment because I can’t remember what happened in the last. But there’s nothing I can do about it now.
4 stars because I enjoyed it as a quick, interesting read. Not sure this one would be a book I re-read as it’s short and straightforward but I did really enjoy it, hence a 4 star rating instead of 3.
It's such a great story. It was action-packed and steamy. There was a lot of growth, and they live to fight again. Can't wait for the next book and the story about his best friend
LOVE this series. I've read Sedona Ashe before and love her style, but Darci R Acula is new to me. Needless to say, after devouring these 2 books, I'm going to be looking into her other stuff. Can't wait for book 3!
A fun book that was enjoyable. I liked the lack of drama between the MCs. I hate the misunderstanding troupe so I'm always a fan when authors don't use that. It makes the writing much more interesting!
I’m not gonna lie; the first book was a pretty slow read for me. I’m glad I stuck it out because I really enjoyed this installment! That cliffy! So excited for what comes next.
