Aurumia is an action, adventure fantasy about three Americans who discover a lost modern civilization in the Amazon jungle. In the vein of Gulliver's Travels, Aurumia is a social satire of modern capitalism with its corporate greed, social and racial disparities, and dysfunctional health care system.
Too long, too boring. It's almost like an elongated version of the kids TV show, Dora The Explorer.
These three people, on the way to Aurumia, have reached the borders. They're fluent enough to talk their language, they're talking about governance and politics with this "lost" civilization which functions like the normal human population we know.
There's no novelty in this adventure store. No thrill, no "friction" in the first 80 pages of a 600 page book. And these adventure lovers have already reached their destination, almost.
