The NOLA Defiance MC Series is a spin-off from the Houston Defiance MC Series. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the previous series, you won’t be lost in any way that I can think of at the moment. That doesn’t mean that any of the books within each series can be read as a standalone, because they cannot, because that is the way of MC romance series.

I #bingeread this entire series (all 6 books) between July and August (2023) and it was one of the best reading experiences of my life! I love MC romances and KE knows how to bring it in this genre so it was time well spent for this reader!

Fixate is the sixth book of the series and the action is not letting up one single bit! At this point, I just have to say this; this MC cannot catch a break for nothing! LOL #funnynotfunny. Honestly, I don’t know how everyone is not popping Xanax like tic-tacs by now! Enemies are running amok and are everywhere! This story gave me serious anxiety but putting it in perspective, that’s probably more because of my #bingeread. Adding to the turmoil that is this MC is Hoodoo & Maxxy, our leads. These two gave new meaning to hostile. They were at constant odds to the point I started doubting their longevity as a couple! However, and this is gonna sound weird, them being the way they were fit the storyline perfectly. GAH, KE can really pull together some off-the-wall dynamics and make them work perfectly! Their story was anything but predictable and the twist came out at every turn, hence the Xanax comment LOL There were a few plot-points that left me thinking ”hmmmmmm”, but something tells me they might make sense in later books, hopefully.

I thoroughly enjoyed this #bingeread even tho it seems like it was topsy-turvy from my reviews. As I’ve said in the past, if there’s one thing that KE can write, is bikers :) and I’m looking forward to not just more of NOLA but also maybe another spin-ff in the future!

I think Fixate is the first book in the series that I started without any expectations on the main characters, even though the chemistry & tension between Hoodoo & Maxxy was there since the first book, and it was the best thing that happened to me because these two were amazing: their dynamic is the most interesting, their plot original and the direction The NOLA Defiance MC took with this book was totally unexpected, so I enjoyed it so much more.

Maxxy has a VERY interesting personal story and the surprises with her character start from the prologue!!! She is the horticulturist of NOLA Defiance, a strong, courageous woman and the boss at The Plantation, so her place in the MC is much more important than she is able to see many times, she has made mistakes in the past and one of them comes back to haunt her in a dangerous way, but those mistakes also led her to meet one of the most important people in her life. Plus, Maxxy's past history is linked to Hurricane & Bayou's in the most adorable, tender and endearing way, something that undoubtedly made me enjoy this book a lot, and love the Ladet brothers a little more.

Hoodoo became one of my favorite characters in the series, even though there are certain details in his character that I didn't like much, I love that he has a playful, adorable, protective and side vulnerable, but at the same time have a dominant & cocky personalityand and is able to turn Maxxy's emotions on their head in the same way that she does to him. Hoodoo also has a personal story that is a bit tragic, and what I loved the most about his character was the way K.E. Osborne addressed that part of his plot.

Hoodoo & Maxxy have a very peculiar way of communicating, their banter isso much fun and I loved reading the immediate attraction they feel for each other when Hurricane makes them work together, I also really liked that Hoodoo is so open with her and trusted in her from the very first moment. Also, I loved reading them both battling the confusion they feel about "being in love with two people at the same time" as Hodoo & Maxxy have a growing connection but always have their respective pen pals in their thoughts that have always been there in their most difficult moments, and the guilt for not telling the other about such a big part of their lives. And yet they are one of the most fun, sexy and adorable couples in the series!

Creo que Fixate es el primer libro de la serie que empiezo sin ninguna expectativa en los personajes principales, aún cuando la química & tensión entre Hoodoo & Maxxy estuvo ahí desde el primer libro, y fue lo mejor que me pasó porque estos dos fueron increíbles: su dinámica es de lo más interesante, su trama original y la dirección que tomó The NOLA Defiance MC con éste libro fue totalmente inesperada, así que lo disfruté muchísimo más de lo que esperaba!

Maxxy tiene una historia personal MUY interesante y las sorpresas con su personaje empiezan desde el prologo!!! Ella es la horticulturista de NOLA Defiance, una mujer fuerte, valiente y la jefe en La Plantación, por lo que su lugar en el MC es mucho más importante de lo que ella misma es capaz de ver muchas veces, ha cometido errores en el pasado y uno de ellos vuelve a acecharla de manera peligrosa, pero esos errores también la llevaron a conocer a una de las personas más importantes en su vida. Además, la historia pasada de Maxxy está unida a la de Hurricane & Bayou de la manera más adorable, tierna y entrañable, algo que sin duda me hizo disfrutar de este libro mucho, y amar un poco más a los hermanos Ladet.

Hoodoo se convirtió en uno de mis personajes favoritos de la serie, aún cuando hay ciertos detalles en su personaje que no me gustaron del todo, me encanta que tenga un lado juguetón, adorable, protector y vulnerable, pero que al mismo tiempo tenga una personalidad dominante, engreída y capaz de poner de cabeza las emociones de Maxxy de la misma forma que ella lo hace con él. Hoodoo tanbién tiene un historia personal que es un poco trágica, y lo que más amé de su personaje fue la manera en la que K.E. Osborn abordó esa parte de su trama.

Hoodoo & Maxxy tienen una forma muy peculiar de comunicarse, sus discusiones son demasiado divertidas y me encantó leer la atracción inmediata que sienten por el otro cuando Hurricane los pone a trabajar juntos, también me gustó mucho que Hoodoo sea tan abierto con ella y le confié su pasado desde ese primer momento. Además, me encantó leerlos a ambos luchando contra la confusión que sienten por "estar enamorados de dos personas al mismo tiempo", como Hodoo & Maxxy tienen una conexión cada vez más fuerte, pero siempre tienen en sus pensamientos a sus respectivos amigos por correspondencia que siempre han estado ahí en sus momentos más complicados, y la culpa por no contarle al otro esa parte tan grande de sus vidas. Y aún así son una de las parejas más divertidas sexys y adorables de la serie!

I’m in love with this series and every other Defiance MC Series that K. E. Osborn has published. I’m sad knowing that there’s only one more part of the NOLA Defiance coming and then we’re onto the next MC chapter.

Maxxy and Hoodoo have been a big part of this series since we started with Gravitate. Hoodoo is the club’s medic and Maxxy’s got the biggest, baddest, job in Defiance MC. Maxxy is a horticulturist and runs the entire Plantation where Defiance’s Poppies are grown and made to be distributed all over NOLA and elsewhere. Without Maxxy and The Plantation there is no NOLA Defiance MC.

When Maxxy got herself thrown behind bars it was Selene who took her under her wing and took the blame when Maxxy did the unthinkable and what did Maxxy do? She got outta prison and left Selene there doing the time she should’ve been doing. The only thing she took from prison with her was her pen pal N and six years later they’re still writing each other.

When Nico AKA Hoodoo gets kicked out of medical school and ends up behind bars he swears to never touch that stuff again and he ends up with Defiance MC working as their medic. The only thing he took from prison was his pen pal G . She means everything to him but lately it’s Maxxy who’s gotten under his skin. For two reasons. One she’s a pain in his butt and they fight constantly and yet he finds her absolutely beautiful and the bickering between them has him turned so far on.

When Maxxy’s down workers at The Plantation she makes it known to Hurricane that Hoodoo hasn’t found her anybody so Hurricane tells Hoodoo he’s going to work for Maxxy at The Plantation until he finds a better solution.

They go from frenemies to finally giving into their attraction that’s been there since Gravitate. As much as they’re loving spending so much time together and learning new things about each other they are both thinking of their pen pal and if they can keep both Hoodoo/N & Maxxy/G or will they have to choose between the two of them.

Hoodoo reaches out to newly formed alliance Baton Rouge Bachelors to see if they can help out with The Plantation. They agree with no questions asked but for Maxxy she’s looking six years into the past when her cellmate is back and looking to settle an old score. If that wasn’t bad enough another enemy of the club has popped back out of hiding. Anton Novikov from The Russian Bratva and they’re just bidding their time to go after Defiance. And, that evil horrible woman dressed to impress The Baroness is around and she still has her fingers in everything and in everyone’s back pockets. I’ve hated her since the beginning and I am HOPING that she’s taken out and the sooner the better for everyone.

I hope you have nothing to do Bc once you start this you’re not going to want to put it down.

The next and last of the series is South’s story. He’s the latest transfer from Defiance Los Angeles and he’s got his sights set on Ingrid. Yup. Ingrid’s Novah’s mom and also the closest thing Hurricane & Bayou have ever had as a mom and Bc of that everyone knows that she is off limits. But, with the looks between South & Ingrid I’m looking forward to seeing how the siblings deal with their mom and their fellow brother messing around LOL.

I’m hoping that all the doors that were left open will finally be shut and that all my questions are answered.

Hoodoo of the NOLA Defiance MC is the crew's medic, and his path of redemption that led him from addiction and time in prison to Defiance is the story's foundation. We all met Maxxy, the brilliant manager of the club's poppy farm, when the Novikov Bratva tried to kill her. How Maxxy and Hoodoo get together and their story is one of the more complex in this series, and KE Osborn does a great job of bringing it all together in a page-turner of a book. I have enjoyed all the tales from the NOLA Defiance, how they have maintained their toughness while falling in love and overcoming some major catastrophes. Let's face it; they're a 1%er MC club, so you expect catastrophes. Particularly violence and dealing with enemies. This story was no different yet, through it all, you are rooting for Hoodoo and Maxxy, enjoying the camaraderie of all the cast of characters we have come to know and love, and the excitement and action that goes with the NOLA Defiance--and La Fin.

I look forward to how this series will conclude with the next book. Until then, you all have time to catch up by reading all the NOLA Defiance books, or just check them out by reading the wonderful story of Hoodoo and Maxxy!!

Absolutely Awesome!!!

This author kills all of her MC books and this is just another book that deserves a 5* + rating. I don’t know how she does it because this book feels just as fresh as the others. It is full of secrets, suspense and sexy times. Hoodoo and Mazzy kill it in the chemistry department. Their banter just adds to their relationship. The secret that they are keeping from one another had me anxiously waiting just to see what that secret would do to their relationship.

Of course Hoodoo is all alpha male and Maxxy is a strong woman who is unreplaceable within Defiance MC but it’s the “friend” she had while in prison that may end her world as she knows it. Suspense was off the charts with Selene and Maxxy’s storyline.

I can’t recommend this book highly enough.

I loved Maxxy and Hoodoo. Their banter was hilarious and they were so fun to read. I loved the twists this story had with the pen pals. I was worried the pen pal revelation would be made into a really big deal. I was pleasantly surprised and relieved that it did not. Their chemistry from the start was amazing. I’m not a fan of Daddy talk though so that took away from the spicy scenes at times for me.

The action in this book within the MC and from Maxxy’s past was unexpected. I wasn’t prepared for how much was going to happen in this book but I enjoyed it. The whole story was great and I can’t wait for the last book in the series to see what happens!

Fixate was an amazing read I loved getting to know more about Hoodoo and Maxxy and they make such a great dynamic the banter is off the charts hot! The sexual tension between them is sky high the only thing that's holding them back is their penpals.

Maxxy is definitely a force to be reckoned with she's feisty and keeps Hoodoo on his toes throughout their story but as with every MC book it comes with enemies and the NOLA Defiance family.

This series is a definite must read it has a great energy to it and KE Osborn is on her A game with this crew.

Book six in The NOLA Defiance MC series. Hoodoo is a member of the club. He did so time in jail. Wher he meet his pen-pal. They share there dreams and fears. They write like best friends. Maxxy is not the same girl. Now she belong to the Defiance club. It was never like that. When she went to jail. She grow up. Now her past is calling her back to her past. She likes hoodoo but she can’t help but compare him with her pen-pal. When her world comes crashing it’s hoodoo who hold her hand through the mess.

Awesome series

I absolutely adore Maxxie and Hoodoo. Another wonderful instalment of the NOLA Defience MC series by Author K.E Osborn .

The banter between these two characters was so engaging and I loved how quick witted Maxxie was that sometimes had Hoodoo opening his mouth like a fish trying to take a breath on the land . She always kept him on his toes and secretly loved that .

The story between these two was a heart felt one and both sacrificed themselves in ways for the club and the people they hold dear . I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series and sadly it will be the last . I really don't want to say goodbye to these characters I've enjoyed every single book to date so far .

I'll start by what I don't like. I'm not fond of the Daddy scenario. Offensive Christian remarks is a big no too.
But I can say this much. K E is a knockout author. If you are like me, loving drama, angst, sassy heroines, alpha males, fighting for survival. All the drama that pairs with an MC club. And the horrible Baroness is still in the picture. Hopefully with her spiteful act toward Maxy she will get her comeuppance soon. She's just pure evil. I can truly recommend this book

In this chapter of the Defiance MC, it is about HooDoo and Maxxy. They try each others patients and get on their nerves, but underneath it all they are fighting their attraction to each other. They have been pen pals for years, but never knew they were. Their feelings for the pen pals was growing and so was their outside feelings. When danger and threats come to the MC, it’s all hands on deck and heaven help the person(s), who did. HooDoo and Maxxy find pull their heads out of their butts and work on their attraction. They will do anything for each other and their love is strong and growing.

Hoodo has had a pen pal for years so when the chemistry between Maxxy and him heats up they neither expected it. But things aren't always easy past scores to settle, secrets to be discovered.
Great addition to the series.

Wow! That was a fantastic read, had me on the edge of my seat the whole way from start to finish. Granted this can be read as a standalone but it's much better if you actually read the rest of the series just to get a backstory on the other characters named in the story. K. E. always does a great job with her MC storyline. She gives you a little bit of everything in each story and you never walk away unsatisfied. I highly recommend reading any of her books because she is a great writer and gives you a lot of the feels when you're reading her stories. Her main characters are always amazing and you always love them whether they're good bad or otherwise because you can feel what she's writing about their story and the character itself.

Hoodoo and Maxxy have quite the story. Pen pal letters, an old cell mate, the Bratva and the Baroness are key elements here. I loved the sassy back and forth Hoodoo and Maxxy have with with other throughout. And unfortunately there are some sad moments that will make you emotional. Looking forward to seeing more!

Years later Maxxy has been working for the NOLA Defiance MC at their Plantation taking care of their h product. She fierce and doesn't take crap from anyone.
Hoodoo is as loyal as anyone could be with his brothers and family. He protects them all.
Their has always been a hot chemistry between Hoodoo and Maxxy as well as incredible banter.
The only problem they haven't acted upon it is due to their secret relationship with the pen pals.
Anton of the Russian Bravta strikes once again putting Hoodoo's life in the line.
As their relationship grows obstacles are thrown in their path testing their love for one another.
When Maxxy's past comes back to haunt her death is the only option.
Action packed drama, mystery, suspense, betrayal, steamy scenes and lots of banter.
I highly recommend this series!
Can't wait for next installment Obliterate! South and Ingrid's story! Reverse age gap.
