Taryn awakens in a world of oaths and treachery. Deemed an outsider, she searches for a way to earn the trust of those who hold the keys to both ending the war and unraveling her family's secrets. As violent threats stalk her, she must uncover the truth or return empty-handed and forever lose the answers to her past.
The frayed threads holding Gharridan together are slipping from Vladimir's grasp as the world crumbles around him. While facing dissension among the ranks and one defeat after another, he's presented with a compromise that offers no choice but to accept, and leaves him questioning whether saving the kingdom means fighting to the bitter end.
Taken as a prisoner with Darya, William must compete in a series of trials to prove his loyalty as he deceives his way into the Algarian king's favor. But the court's bitterness runs deep, and more than wits will be required to scheme their way to freedom.
Christy R. Harrill is the book loving and anything medieval fantasy obsessing author of the Blood Vier series. She lives in Oklahoma where she enjoys hiking with her dog Hank and devouring every book she possibly has time for. Christy loves winter, and still hopes to attain the dream of getting snowed in with four feet of snow one day. She thinks that the only good thing about summer is wearing sandals, and has a weakness for buying pretty notebooks—even though she already owns far too many blank ones at home.
I was thrilled to receive an ARC copy of The Hope Weaver, the final book in the Blood Vier series, and it did not disappoint! This series has been one of my all-time favorites, and this concluding installment exceeded all my expectations. One of the highlights for me was learning more about Taryn’s mother’s side of the family. The backstory was rich and added so much depth to the overall plot, revealing how everything began. It was fascinating to see how these pieces fit into the larger narrative that has been building throughout the series. The way Christy R. Harrill tied everything together in the end was masterful. The conclusion felt both satisfying and bittersweet, as I know I’ll miss following Taryn and Vladimir’s journey. Their story has been full of emotional highs and lows, and this final chapter provided a beautiful and fitting end to their arc. If you’ve loved the previous books, The Hope Weaver is a must-read. It wraps up loose ends while delivering all the action, intrigue, and heart that fans have come to expect from this series.
I received an ARC copy from the author, however, these are my honest thoughts of the book.
Christy R. Harrill outdid herself with this conclusion to The Blood Vier series. The was the perfect conclusion to a riveting series. The book will leave you on the edge of your seat at every page. The amount of anxiety I had while reading this book was probably a little unhealthy but it goes to show the author’s great talent in keeping the reader captivated. I had always been in love with the original main characters, Taryn and Vladimir, but I found myself falling in love with the side characters and I would definitely not be sad if we got some future work on William! I think there is so much we could learn about him and his future life.
I rarely cry when reading books but this one brought me to tears on multiple occasions! The ending was beautiful, bittersweet, but perfect!
What an amazing book and what an amazing journey this series has taken me on! This book deserves every single star in the five star rating I gave it. I’m sad the series is over but I can’t wait to see what other works Christy R. Harrill produces in the future.
Pick up this book, pick up the entire series! You won’t regret it!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the amazing author for gifting me an ARC of this book and the priceless experience of all the other ones in the series very early on!!! To you I pledge my oath as a Kavaru, now and forever !!!
“But there was no hope. There never had been. Hope was a myth, a tale of whimsy on a child's tongue, and an impossible dream that could never be reached. It had fooled me, lured me in with sweet promises it then broke. It had betrayed me, and I swore to keep it from ever sinking its poisonous claws into me again”
“This was what I hated the most about hope, that no matter how fiercely I tried to kill it, tried to remove it from my very thought process, it still jumped to me. Unbidden. When I didn't want it. When it was the last thing I needed. Yet it was always still there. No matter how bleak the days grew, hope could never be killed, because it still flickered even in the darkest of circumstances.”
This book was … exactly what a series finale is supposed to be and then some. It made me feel every emotion on the planet and yet by the end I was still trying to figure out where it was all going and how the author work have made it all work out. I was scared these characters (whom I had grown to love and cherish all throughout the series) would have gone through irreparable damage and there was nothing I would have been able to do but stand there and watch it happen. Of course, as a reader there is nothing I can do regardless. But the thing is, when a series is written that good and it is that amazing that you feel like the characters are your family and their journey is your journey and their home is your home, you feel hopeless. And when they make you feel angry, and frustrated and pissed off, you would like to scream at them to put it together. And when they make you feel sad and in pain for their hurt, you would just like to cheer for their happiness and love. Taryn, Vladimir and William are this for me. And this final climax of their journey felt like the ending of a story I really didn’t want to get to. Every page was a twist, every chapter a new turn in the narrative that pushed them in three different directions only to pull them back together once again for the final stand against their enemy. Their separation was necessary to allow them to grow and come to terms with their path going forward. William with his anger. Vladimir with his despair. And Taryn with her doubts. And just like how they started they were able to end. But this time with more. This time with family !!! I’m beyond grateful that I had the opportunity to follow the author in this crazy experience and in the heart of these people. These characters and their story will always have a piece of my heart. And I wouldn’t have it any other way !!
"I am bound to this country," I chimed in. "And this country to me."
“We can't forget love when we want to or on our own terms. Not when it has grown roots and twisted around your heart, touched and cherished the most vulnerable pieces of you. It's a tiresome, backbreaking process you repeat every day, chipping away at the roots, pulling it out one piece and memory at a time until you finally extricate it, discarding it from your heart forever. But dead roots still leave scars. Even though there is no physical presence of them left, they are always still with you in the scars, in the memories curled within the pain, shoved deep."
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW alright first half of this book I wasn’t feelin it BECAUSE the main characters were all split up and i personally never like that And I also felt like it was building too slowly to the climax for me We already have three books behind this one so I wanted more BOOM BOOM POW yknow I am glad to see how everything connected at the end and how no stone was left unturned
I do hope for a story more about the Dalendarians because thaaat is a recipe for a great series!!!
And I LOOOOOOOVE me a heroine with a stubborn self sacrificing personality who puts others first ahead of her own desires and needs. Taryn has done SO MUCH for Gharridan and has come SO FAR. It’s crazy to think how in the very beginning of this series she was running away from all of this, not wanting any part in this kingdom, but now she’s fighting for it until her very last breath.
BUT FINALLY YALL 70% IN EVERYONE REUNITES but I’m gonna tell yall right now the title is funny bc I had ZERO hope right up until about 90% into the book Like they were taking HIT AFTER HIT AFTER HIT I was like dang let me get up first before you knock me down again DANG Like I saw NOOOOO way out THEN BAM
I won’t explain what that means obviously I’m not an animal What, you thought I was gonna spoil or for you!?!? GASP How dare you think that
But no seriously the way it all unfolded and was solved was like WOOOOOOOAAH okaaaaaaaay! It all made sense!
Yall I was getting EMOTIONAL when I thought all hope was lost and an important character (who shall obviously remain nameless pls see my shocked gasp above that you’d think I’d spoil it) was REALLY NEAR DEATH I WAS A MEEEEEESSS sobbing inside so no one would judge me for crying over words and fake characters BUT YOU GET CLOSE TO THEM OF COURSE IM GONNA BE ATTACHED Will your heart be broken? Maybe…. maybe not….. Read to find out more
And the character growth was golden! Although I was bored in the beginning I did enjoy the character growth Specifically for William (Yes we get his POV finally!! So exciting!!) He needed it the most and I’m so proud of him And perhaps his heart will be healed too… INTERESTING RIGHT
But what I REALLY WANTED I GOT Since book ONE!!! I have been wanting the author to include something that Michael meant to give Taryn upon his death and I GOT IT and cried harder AND THE EPILOGUE That is EXACTLY how it should end Sobbing even more….
But this series was PHENOMENAL I highly recommend and I’m sad it’s over *cue more crying*
We are so close to the release date for the final book of this MAJESTIC series!!
I was able to receive an ARC copy of the Hope Weaver and I devoured it so fast. Christy did not disappoint as she wrapped up her first series in this fourth book! So let’s get started…I will do my best to do no spoilers👀
At the start, our beloved characters went through so. Many. Things. Character arcs were started and completed and it was awesome to have walked through each book with these characters…and you were just rooting for them to have a peaceful end. I have never craved peace for characters as hard as these. There was also SO. MANY. THINGS. revealed and doors opened at the beginning of the book. I won’t say too much, but the world building, the cultures!! I feel as if the first three books were simply a tease of the skill of this author, as the final book opened so many doors. Honestly I want to read more of these different cultures she created.
About halfway through, I doubted. I did not know how it was all going to come together with closure for each loose thread. The rollercoaster of closure had started on the uphill and I wasn’t sure if we would make it to the end. But boy…did it end.
The character developments were honestly some of my favorites. The portrayal of recovering alcoholism as well as soldier with PTSD were very well done and accurate. Showing how they were struggling, but still were called on to fight, to keep their responsibilities. It also showed they didn’t struggle alone, certain people helped along the way.
It is so hard to finish a book series, and especially when the readers have expectations, but this author succeeded in pulling all the final strings together in a beautiful manner.
The depth of relationships, of characters and the resolution of conflict, this series built them up and this final book closed them all. Standing ovation for the Hope Weaver, the Blood Vier series and its author! This is one of my favorite series and I can’t wait to see what’s next in store from Christy Harrill. If you haven’t read this series yet, do it. Literally…just do it, you will not be disappointed!
I received an ARC copy of this book. However, this is my genuine thoughts of the book.
The Hope Weaver, while an amazing read on its own, is a satisfying end to a series. The author demonstrates her ability to not only keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end but also leave you with closure. It is difficult to describe, but regardless of the closure the author provides, I find myself yearning for more of the world that she has created.
In this book, the author allows the reader inside the mind of three characters, one of which readers have not spent as much time with. This allowed me, as a reader, to connect with the character more than I had in the first three books. This multiple POV was one of the reasons I found myself on the edge of my seat. Just as a revelation would arise in one POV, the author would end the chapter and switch to another POV.
I appreciated the authors addition of moral dilemma in this book. There are times when the characters, one of which being William, is faced with choices to make. As a reader, you wonder if you would make the same choices.
There is one moment in particular where the author shows emotions such as love, dedication, bravery, heartache, and grief. The author accomplishes the difficult task of not only making the reader believe the emotions of the characters but also feel them.
Many times, during the reading of the chapters, I would be amazed at the connections that plot points would make to previous books. Twists and turns that I never saw coming but also connect in continuity to the previous books. Near the end of the book, I was unsure how the author would pull the character through to the end. But again, in good hero's journey fashion, the story shocked me and provided a resolve that I never expected.
This series is one I recommend to all those I know who enjoy reading. If fantasy is not your preference, I suggest still giving this book a chance. It will surprise you how much you enjoy it.
In the fall of 2021, I stared at a manuscript I’d been working on for years and asked myself if I wanted to take an absolutely terrifying new direction or if I wanted to shelve the manuscript and walk away. Walking away would have been the safer, albeit harder, decision.
But instead I chose to take that step of faith.
And because of all of you, I’m so glad I did.
A year later The Blood Vier released, then The King Slayer, and The Death Bringer.
And now The Hope Weaver, the epic conclusion to The Blood Vier quartet, has released out into the world. It’s an exciting but strange feeling to have come to the end of a series.
This book was difficult to write for so many reasons, but boy do I loved it. You’ll finally get to see Taryn and Vladimir’s story come to an end. (And William. He insisted he be mentioned as well.)
I wanted to write the best conclusion to a series I possibly could, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have 💞
Are you ready to destroy the throne or kneel before it? 🗡️
When I tell you that there couldn’t have been a better wrap to the series, I MEAN IT. All of Christy’s books have been masterpieces but this one was the cherry on top. She is a MASTER at plot twists and making you hold on to the edge of your seat as well as making you fall in love with characters you never thought you could. I have to mention the flawless character development with each character, how they grew and were molded into who they needed to be for this epic final, especially Taryn. I have only ever gotten this emotionally attached to a couple books, but this one has made the list. I have hoped and shed tears for these characters. I honestly don’t have any complaints, this book is every bit as worth the five stars it was given. I cannot get over the main characters, but the side characters have just as big a place in my heart now too! I related to so many character in so many different ways and cannot wait to read the next of Christy’s phenomenal books!!
What a way to end a series! I’ll be honest, there were times I wondered if this was going to be an “everybody dies” ending, and my trust in Christy to not do that to me may have wavered a bit. However, she came through! This book is everything and more I could ask for in a finale. I loved the new elements she brought in, I SO appreciated all the areas that filled in all the many questions I’ve had and closed any gaps for me, and I loved how she essentially wrapped everything up in a bow, but absolutely never in the way I expected. As with every other book, this one kept me guessing and kept (pleasantly) surprising me with new directions and twists and just.. wow. All in all, I feel like I have “closure” in this series and I’m sad I’ll never read it for the first time again, but I loved the adventure of it all! This series, and especially this book, is so unique and intricate and yet so well done; I can’t praise Christy enough and her brilliant mind for giving this to us!
It's hard to believe that we are at the final book of the Blood Vier series, and yet here it is. Christy Harrill masterfully wraps up her series in a way that keeps the reader guessing and the pages turning. The action was non-stop, and the way Christy wove all the characters POVs together was so amazing! (Why didn't we have William's pov all along, I ask you?!) There were points in the book where I wasn't sure if we'd been tricked and there would in fact be another book. However, by the final page, everything was wrapped up so very neatly, and no questions were left unanswered. This is an amazing series, and I'm feeling all kinds of grateful and thankful that I got to read it and experience this amazing and powerful world that is created in this series! I can't recommend this enough; it's a must read!
If you’ve been waiting patiently or IMpatiently for the finale of this incredible series, let me say that it is worth the wait! Through every twisting thread and character link, you will find a masterful weaving of all three previous books, culminating in an epic ending. Be forewarned- The last 10 chapters require your undivided attention, so make sure your family is fed and occupied so as not to interrupt your reading. Keep tissues handy- you will be so invested in these characters that you will feel every pain they experience. Thank you Christy for giving us an amazing book series that can be read and re-read through the years!!
This book was an amazing conclusion to an amazing story! It was nice to see a well-built and fleshed out fantasy world without going overboard and causing readers to lose interest. The slow burn romance was so well done. Definitely wasn’t the main point of the story, but was enough of the plot to keep you wondering how their stories would end. I cried several times during this book from several different emotions. I didn’t want it to end, yet couldn’t wait to see how each character’s story would end up. I absolutely loved this series, and this was a very well done conclusion!
What a phenomenal last book to a fantastic fantasy series!! This book kept me on edge the whole time—I couldn’t put it down! I love how the world and each characters’ story expanded in this book, and I especially loved getting the full picture and having questions being answered by the end. The motif of hope throughout this book was beautifully written.
10/10 The world of this book was greatly expanded and deepened in this book, which I loved. The banter between William and Darya was very cuteeeeee. The last epilogue was beautifully written and had what I needed. Such a great finish to the Blood Vier series!! Lots of action and twists and turns. This will answer many of the questions left unanswered prior. You will not be disappointed! Thank you ☺️
A great ending to a fabulous series. Harrill is an amazing writer. She is extremely descriptive and has an eye for detail. I have to admit William is my favorite character in this book. His sarcasm and wit is right up my alley. Harrill answered every question I had from other books and in an unpredictable but masterful way. Brava, Christy Harrill! Can’t wait for your next projects.
I wasn’t ready for this book to end. The end of a brilliant series. I cried having to close this book, it felt like an end of an era in my life. Christy has taken chaos and hurt and pain and betrayal and turned into a satisfying ending. The epilogue wasn’t my favorite, I could’ve almost done without it, but also couldn’t.
what a stunning conclusion to this series. I was hooked for every single book and this did not disappoint. I loved the character growth so much in this one. William truly turned around and became a better man and started to get out of his bitterness. I would absolutely read this series again.
This book kept me reading for hours, not wanting to put it down. The way that this series was wrapped up in such a dramatic and beautiful way makes it one of my favorite books I've read.
This is everything the final book in a series should be! -desperate last stand✅ -epic battle✅ -character reunions✅ -details from previous books clicking into place✅
The world of this book was greatly expanded and deepened in this book, which I loved. The banter between William and Darya was so fun and helped offset the heaviness of the things Vlad and Taryn were dealing with. Can’t recommend this series enough!
A great finish to the Blood Vier series!! Lots of action and twists and turns. This will answer many of the questions left unanswered prior. You will not be disappointed!
