Everything is going right for Cameron White. She's pursuing her gymnastics dreams at the University of Bellevue. She's got a friend with benefits situation with Benson Jeannot on the hockey team, and she's killing it in her college courses.
But a tidal wave of unfortunate circumstances have Cameron facing a choice she never dreamed she'd have to make.
My name is Toni aleo and I'm a #PredHead, #sherrio, #potterhead, and part of the #familybusiness!
I am also a wife to my amazing husband, mother of a wrestler and a gymnast, and also a fur momma to Phoebe, Gaston el Papillon & Winston.
You can usually find me hollering for the whole Nashville Predators since I'll never give my heart to one player again. When I'm not in the gym getting swole, I'm usually writing, trying to make my dreams a reality or being a taxi for my kids. I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, Supernatural, Disney and anything that sparkles! I'm pretty sure I was Belle in a past life and if I could be on any show it would be supernatural so I can hunt with Sam and Dean.
This is a tough one. Cameron living her dream, about ready to do big things and doing what she should to stay on that path and shit happens. Cameron is left with a hard choice and she does what is best for herself. I really liked how she found support along the way, from Benson to her teammates, even one who didn't agree with her. I really would love to see more of these characters in the future and see how life is for them all.
An incredibly powerful message, especially in light of the abortion situation in the US. Wish it was longer and explored the characters more, but I assume this is a prologue to an upcoming standalone novel.
One criticism I have as a Quebecer: Benson is not really a French Canadian name. Would make more sense if one of his parents is anglophone, but... honestly the only Benson I've ever heard here is from Benson & Hedges cigarettes and the international fireworks shows they (used to?) sponsor in Montreal at La Ronde.
Absolutely appalled that there is not a trigger warning for this disaster. Will not buy another book by this person. (Won’t dignify it by using her name) . Politics have no place in brainless summer romance reads- some young enough to still be impressionable and will think it’s ok to have mindless sex without consequences . To top it off she made the young man have morals and the girl a narcissistic self centered brat. Do better author do better Amazon condoning murder will not be tolerated-my opinion. Also I am demanding a refund from amazon as there should have been a trigger warning!!!!!!
This novella fits between books 7 and 8 in the Bellevue Bullies series. I finished the seventh book and started to read the eighth and realized I was missing something, however, it wouldn't have been the end of the world if the novella didn't exist. It just helped tie the two books together better.
Toni! This was beautiful! We all know the struggle is real & no one makes this choice lightly and you portrayed that beautifully! The support and non-support is a realistic portrayal & I weeped along with Cameron through her whole struggle! Love this story! Thank you for telling it! Can’t wait to catch up with them in the future!
I have been reading Toni Also books for a long while now. I love the Author. I have not read one book I haven't liked. Her choice is just beautifully written. So much emotion. In today's time. We need to read this. I don't think an abortion is ever as easy as our world portrays. But it is an individual choice for the woman. This is our freedom of choice! Great read.
I love this fictional world, but I’ll be honest, this one is hard to read. But that’s a testament to the author’s ability to convey the raw emotion surrounding such a polarizing issue. This will definitely make readers want to know more about Cam and Benson!!
Saw this title in Tonite newsletter and bought it and tbe other titles in it. Its a quick read but very worth it. I thought this was so well done. I felt it was honest and realistic in how it portrayed such a hard decision without being overdone.
In todays climate there are people who wish to take the choice away from women. If it was a man’s choice it would never be striped. The life of the mom is just as important as the fetus.
This novella is so moving & bittersweet. Dealing with such a sensitive issue it was presented in a beautiful honest way. A choice made & support given for a heartbreaking life moment. Thank you to author Toni Aleo for this.
If our laws covered only the pregnancy in the first, at least, trimester I would be fine with pro choice, but waiting until later 8n the pregnancy is wrong to. Just my opinion.
How did I miss this??? This was a quick read. This was a real read. I really liked how well the author handled such a controversial subject. I wish everyone had the support group that Cam had. It was inspirational.
A very hard read, what a supportive group of people. Benson and Cam deserve a chance later on. I’m glad to see everyone be there for them. An unfortunate situation but so well written.
Ugh this was such a good novella! Couldn’t believe the amount of emotions I felt during this. I loved how it was written and how she knew what she wanted to do.
