As an elementary school librarian and a cat owner, I have read a LOT of books about cats. THIS one is the most comprehensive, useful, well-laid-out book I have ever read on the topic. It doesn't make vague, non-science-based claims about these mysterious creatures, but provides information about everything from how to introduce cats to one-another to the options for dealing with escalating feral populations. (TNR is the best practice, according to this book.) It addresses things you want and need to know about cats, as well as things you didn't know you needed to know about them. The photos and layouts are top-notch, so reading this book is a visual pleasure as well as a learning experience. Get this book if you love cats.
