Then I found out that he isn’t human, which is fine with me. And that he’s the biggest jerk alive, which is unacceptable. I can’t believe I fell for his lies. It’s not like me at all!
Just when I need him the most, he shows me his true colors. Turns out that my handsome king is actually a pointy-eared toad, and that fairytales are a load of nonsense. I won’t be fooled a second time. Oh, no!
Guilt is the first book in a duet. It follows Gina and Nightfall and ends on a major cliffhanger! This steam-filled duet can be read as standalone but would be best enjoyed after reading Becoming the Demon Queen trilogy.
Charlene lives on an acre in the country with her husband, three children and an array of pets including a snake. In her spare time you can usually find her typing away franticly on the computer completely lost in worlds of her making. She is an avid believer that it is the small things that truly matter like the feeling you get when you start reading a new book or a particularly beautiful sunset. Charlene likes to write bite stories her readers can sink their teeth into. Sign up for her latest release newsletter for more information http://mad.ly/signups/96708/join
Used, discarded and pregnant… that’s how Gena finds herself after a few months’ relationship with Nightfall. She doesn’t want to have anything to do with him even more after she discovers his true nature but she didn’t account for his inability to stay away ( and the power of true love) This book ( first part of a duet so beware it ends on a cliffhanger) is set part at the same time and part after “ becoming the demon queen trilogy” It is not required to have read said trilogy to enjoy this book but some dynamics might not be very clear. I received an advanced copy in exchange for an voluntary and honest review.
What an awesome book! I was so into it that I was shocked when it ended, even though I knew there was a 2nd book coming. We first meet Gina in the series Becoming the Demon Queen, which is a must read. Gina starts having a affair with Nightfall, the Fae King. Gina just thinks he is a super hot guy. Nightfall is using Gina to find her friend who it turns out is a powerful demoness. Nightfall needs to mate with someone powerful to save his realm, which is dying. Their story is sexy and addictive. I cant wait for the next book!!
This is Gina and Nightfalls beginning, it runs concurrently to Quinn’s beginning so we already have some of the information. This is the story of when and how Gina and the Fae King met. Quite frankly he wrongs her really bad and I don’t know how things will work out, hopefully he grovels a lot!! Gina is really strong (yet sensitive) as a character so I hope she doesn’t give in too easily. But after that cliffhanger she really needs him right now. I can’t wait to see how things happen next. I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
I absolutely loved this story! This is Gina and Nightfall’s story whom we met in the Demon Queen’s trilogy. This was such a great read that I couldn’t put it down! My heart went out to both these characters! That ending…wow! Such an entertaining and very well written story! I can’t wait to see what happens next! Amazing! Very highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book
The first book in this new spin off series is finally here and features Gina, Quinn’s best friend (whom me meet in the previous trilogy) and Nightfall, King of the Fae❣️
Nightfall is king but his realm has been ravaged by The Hunger and him and his council are trying to figure out a solution. In his quest for this solution, namely the Lumina…aka Quinn, he meets Quinn’s bestie Gina. This becomes slightly more complicated as time passes and the situation becomes more dire in the realm as well😢
Loved the start to this new story and new couple. Runs simultaneously to Quinn’s story as this unfolds at the same time…nice though to get more insight into Gina and how she meets with Nightfall. That cliffhanger left me reeling and I’m soooo ready for the next book😉 I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️
I hope everything will be okay with Gina and her baby, now Nightfall has to suck it up and let it be known that he can't in his right mind marry and mate with this abomination ( Vampire). It will cause war but he has to do what is good for him and his Kingdom..wow can't wait for the next book in this series..big fan as always Winzie19🤗💞.
Guilt by B.E. Brouillard, Author and Charlene Hartnady Overall Score ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Heat Level 🔥🔥🔥🔥/5
Genres/Tropes •Fantasy •Forbidden Romance
I was so excited to read Gina and Nightfall's story. It was full of spice and angst! It does end on a cliffhanger and I am dying for the ending of their story!
This story felt so familiar when I was reading it, I kept thinking that I had already read it. I read so many books I didn't remember that I had read the Demon Queen series which has the same characters in it. I read those books last year and why did it take so long to release this one, now I will have to back and read them again :).
Guilt, book 1 of Charlene Hartnady and BE Brouilard's Becoming the Fae Queen is wonderful. The characters are great. Nightfall is as hot as they come. Gina is a spit fire. Past characters make appearances that bring everything together. I cannot wait to we how it all ends.
Guilt (Becoming the Fae Queen Book 1) by Charlene Hartnady & BE Brouillard. While looking for Quinn, Fae King John falls for Gina. But the fae realm is in trouble and King John needs a strong mate. When Gina tells John she is pregnant he rejects her for the sake of the realm but when Gina begins to loose the baby John realises what a mistake he’s made.
This is an excellent start to the story. It keeps you engrossed from the first page and you quickly get invested in Gina and Nightfall’s relationship. This does end on a cliffhanger so I am waiting with baited breath for the final instalment in the series.
This book runs alongside the timeline of the Demon Queen series and features Gina who was Quinn’s best friend. Gina is a sassy streetwise woman who is not easily fooled by men. She meets “John” Nightfall but what starts out as a one night stand very soon begins to develop into much more. Gina doesn’t realise that Nightfall is Fae, just that he is gorgeous and she can’t get enough of him. She is behaving out of character as she throws herself at this hunk of a man with his crazy bedroom quirks! Needless to say she is mad when he lets her down and the interaction is just great. This is the first of two books and even though I knew it would end on a cliffhanger I was so into the book I forgot so now need the next book so I can continue this relationship. Easy five stars from me.
I can’t believe I have to wait 2 months for the 2nd half! I wish I’d waited to read them both together! Love Hartnady as an author and this is one of her best. Can’t wait to read the conclusion.
This is a different book then I am used to from Charlene Hartnady. Really suprising and new. I really love it and can't wait to see what happens next. A must read for sure
I love this series and Gina is a fantastic main character. Following nightfall and Gina getting to know each other has been a huge enjoyment and I am downloading book 2 glamour immediately.
This story is off the charts fantastic!!! It has everything and more that makes for a FANTASTIC read!!! Charlene is a PHENOMENAL writer and storyteller!!. I can't wait to continue reading this story☺️!!.
