Delilah has been abducted, dropped onto an alien planet and forced to compete for her freedom. The goal? Find the monster with the key to her salvation and do whatever is necessary to obtain it.
It sounds simple enough, but there's just one problem. The monster she stumbles upon is sexy as hell. A warrior. He's more inclined to pin her down and eat her out than he is to hand over a key that will help her return to Earth. And with tendrils that unfurl from his spine to help him achieve that, Delilah realizes she might not mind being trapped on a hostile, alien planet.
Sahin is an Aragnokan warrior, sworn to a life of isolation and protecting his planet. He's finally home from war and able to enter into Aragnok's newest craze; The Harvest Games.
His objective? Find the alien women scattered around the wilds of his planet and turn them in to the government before they can steal the key in his possession. The more women he turns in, the more his odds increase of winning. His goal? To win and be allowed to sire offspring with one of the few remaining Aragnokan women of his planet.
It isn't until Delilah falls into his lap that he realizes what he's been missing all of his life, and just how carnal his cravings are for the small human.
This is a novella with tons of spice and a dash of plot. It is book 1 in the standalone series following the Aragnokans and their human mates.
M. L. is an avid reader and writer of all things romance/erotica, specializing in sexy aliens with a penchant for worshiping their women. She believes spice is the foundation of a good romance, and uses it wholeheartedly while writing stories. When she's not spending too much money on books, she's cuddling with her dogs, watching movies with her husband, or binge watching tv shows on Netflix. Guilty pleasures include: poorly made movies with terrible dialogue, playing video games when she should be writing, and drinking insane amounts of caffeine. To stay up to date on what M. There is a plot, simple and pretty obvious, but this is mostly smut.
Is this a bad thing? Absolutely not. If you know what you're getting then it would ridiculous to complain about it.
I do have one issue and that is the title. I don't get it. Mostly, there isn't a bed involved and he might be 'monster looking', but he's an alien... ・ ・ ・ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🕮⋆˚࿔✎𓂃 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Unfortunately, this went into a lot of smut instead of plot. The first few chapters were interesting with building the world and characters. Once the FMC and MMC met it went downhill from there. Not much happened besides smut. As much as I love a good smutty book, this just was too much for me. I would have prefer more exploration of the world and culture of the alien race.
Loved this book!!! It is five star fire pepper spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, and the storyline is beautifully written!! Can’t wait to read more from this author. 💜
Oh So Very Hot, Naughty & Yummy💋💋💋 I Enjoyed The Romantic Tale Along With The Incredibly Wicked Sexcapades 😈🔥🔥🔥 Fantastic Writing, Original Story, Great Imagination From This Author, She Has Become One Of My Favourites💙 Sit, Read, and Enjoy😉
・score: ⭐⭐⭐. 5 ・spicy: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ ・alien romance / fated mates / tentacles 👀 / no plot, just 💦
First time I actually finished reading a you-know-what-genre book.
It is nothing like the title.
Is it about monster? Well, he is an alien, sooo maybe?
Is it in bed? They did it everywhere except bed. That is for sure.
The correct title should be: The Tendrils Inside Me, or The Alien in Cave, or The Warrior Who Always Come.
Anyway, I liked how Sin is actually kind and protective. I started to look forward to their romance as their interactions are funny. He always answered her questions and appreciated her. His dream of having a family of his own is also precious.
Also, A male lead with a father figure? Check Siblings dinamic? Check A female lead who isn't denial? Check
The minus is I was anticipating Sin to actually take the kidnapper alien to a duel, which didn't happen. It would show how much she loves her, no?
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I liked the book but there is not much of a plot. She wakes up in the "Harvest Games" and is told she has to find a key to get back to earth or she has to stay on this alien planet. The aliens are trying to earn points so they can win the right to have a kid with a rare female of their species.
She finds the hero hoping he has a key, but the pollen in the air made her extremely interested in sex. So they repeatedly have sex.
SPOILER SPOILER PSOILER SPOILER
Hero declares she is his mate, she declares she wants him to be her mate too. They end up pregnant, both are very surprised. They have a little girl who can turn into fire, they keep her abilities a secret. They don't want anyone to take their daughter away.
The start was really interesting and super hot. However the plot took a back seat pretty quickly.. which was disappointing because there was a lot of potential for a political struggle or something. Then we get to the birth and the book just ENDS! Now why would I read a book 2 that focuses on a different couple just to get a line or two of the original couple's update. No one even addressed how effed up it was to have the universe over VOLUNTEER for but Humans are getting kidnapped. There wasn't further discussion of what happens to them after the year if they remain unmated. There were too many unanswered questions for this to be truly satisfying.
Well this one is titled The Monster in My Bed, but just know there’s very little use of a bed involved and the MMC is a mostly humanoid alien, not a monster. This is basically just a smut fest. It is 232 pages long, and about 220 of that is just sex. Now I’m not saying that’s necessarily a horrible thing, as I definitely enjoy a good smut fest…but honestly, this one got a bit boring as the sex is mostly just repetitive. If you’re going to have tons of sex, work out different scenes or positions or start tame and slowly work up to kink or something. With all of that said, I didn’t abandon the book and read every page of it…so I guess repetitive sex is not a deal breaker for me when there’s prehensile tendrils involved 🤷🏻♀️
Did this story have an original plot... No... but did I enjoy every delicious moment reading it.... F**k yeah! The spice is top tier, all the chili peppers!!! Its been a minute since I devoured a book in one sitting and enjoyed the story from beginning to end. This story falls in the erotica category but don't let that deter you if you want more plot, its okay to just indulge every now and then lol. Highly recommend, definitely buying, can't wait to read the next story in the series!!
Fun and really steamy but there were A LOT of (unintentional?) icks. Smith, wherever you are, there is no situation in which ass-eating after a woman has been in the forest for days without showering is sexy. It's not. Brimstone??? Brimstone is another word for sulfur... meaning it smells strongly of rotten eggs. Not what you want from your lover's cum.
BUT: despite a couple of hiccups, this was an enjoyable read. Good chemistry and pacing. Balance of drama and smut. I'll definitely read the rest of the series
Even though this was 80% smut (and I generally prefer a bit more plot), I absolutely devoured this and stayed up all night to finish it. It has all of my favourite tropes: aliens needing human women to reproduce, breeding, fated mates (sort of), initial language barrier, strong warrior MMC who is absolutely obsessed with/dedicated to the FMC. A FMC who is not an idiot or annoying.
I love how the relationship between the MC’s developed and how the story progressed, and the ending/epilogue. I will definitely read the next book and highly recommend this one!
The first book that introduces the Aragnokan 'monsters', in this case aliens. After being taken from Earth Delilah must avoid being caught if she wants to return to Earth. This is a hot, smutty, fast paced read! The characters are well developed with some plot twists along the way. Definitely deserves 5 stars and this book is a firm favourite of mine. I enjoy the authors writing style and I've already read the rest in the series. I would 100% recommend, especially if you are a smut reader 😉
Ho-ly spice-fest batman!!! This was hawtttttt and absolutely packed with spice! I'm not jealous of Delilah AT ALL....not one little bit!!! OK maybe a little bit, because dayummmm that girl lucked out! Who wouldn't want a big protective beast of an alien who's completely obsessed with them and has an insatiable appetite (not to mention the very handy extra appendages)?!!! While this book is more spice than plot it has enough of a story and world building to have me intrigued. I'll definitely be checking out more of the series!
I really enjoyed this! It's a refreshing take on the sci-fi erotica genre, while stay true to certain themes throughout. Language barrier, extra appendages, special male anatomy. The passion explodes off the pages and I think this is a must read if you enjoy the genre. It's a quick, light read with enough steaminess and emotion to make me eagerly await book two (hopefully cordelia and Azul). Good work author!
This is a hot steamy romance with a lot of inventive positions! The FMC is transported against her will to an unknown planet, and the MMC is looking for love. They overcome their differences and forge a relationship.. There are also introductions to characters in the next book, making for a very good start to the series. The world building was very descriptive and vibrant, and the perfect amount for the book, so that it enhanced the story, but didn't overwhelm it.
This is book one and an easy low angst read. The storyline is enjoyable and humorous at times. There is a lot of joining going on with this couple. Delilah was so naive in parts that it was just too funny. It’s not serious or dramatic, this book is entertaining and light. Read On!
This was definitely a Great but different monster story and I really Loved it 😍. I think we've always thought of having a monster under our bed and thought about being abducted, but the two together, Fabulous 😄. Thanks M.L. I truly enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more 🤓.
DNF Just not my cup of tea, was hoping for a little more story but that’s just a personal preference of mine. I just didn’t feel any type of attachment to the characters. Assuming from the reviews it probably gets better as it goes but I got a decent amount in and just couldn’t get hooked.
I had to DNF 75% of the way in because there was not really much plot and what little of it there was, was pretty predictable. The characters were one-dimensional and a bit boring. I get the spicy stuff but I like a little bit more depth to the stories I read.
If you are looking for erotica with amazing sex and phenomenal storyline, look no further! M.L. Smith is able to bring your deepest monster fantasies to life! If you read this and want more head to Inkkit and look her up!
I really wanted to finish this book but after there is little plot in it. All they do is have sex over and over again. I tried to give it another chance but I don’t think I can continue with it anymore.
So I didn’t give this more stars only because it was mostly just them doing the deed literally the whole time which is fine if that’s what your looking for I just thought it would of had more of a story line. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy every bit of it and he is so sweet.
Such a great book! I went in with little expectations towards the plot but I was surprised that there was more development than I expected. The spice was top notch and reminds me of another popular alien series
Delilah and Sahin are the most unlikely couple on Aragnok. An alien and a human aren't supposed to be together, are they? I genuinely loved the twist that comes when we meet Jakkar, Sahin's father! Such a well-rounded story!
