What happens when you mix a television dating show, a prize to win, and pure chemistry between two people? A full-blown collision along with a misunderstanding that lasts till Monday morning when they both–unknowingly–have to show up for work in the same tattoo shop.
Eloise - A new town, a new job, and a huge step forward to break open my shell and crawl out of my comfort zone. The wounds from my past may have healed, but in some form, life ultimately finds a way to rip them right back open.
Lucas - My parents always said my player ways would instantly come to an end once I experience pure chemistry when I finally meet the right woman. They weren’t kidding ‘cause meeting her knocks me off balance in a way that turns life upside down. Including hers when I unravel a dangerous truth from her past.
Esther E. Schmidt is an USA Today bestselling author who loves to write MC (biker) series, Mafia Romance series, PNR series, contemporary romance series, and more. She's a graphic designer that also loves to write. She released her first series "Areion Fury MC" in October 2015. Esther lives in The Netherlands with her family, three daughters, and a crazy iguana. She loves to write about bad boy Alphas with a heart for only one woman. To make it a bit interesting, that woman needs to be a badass herself.
An interesting start/meet and I liked it. It was fun and got a bit steamy right off the bat. Insta-love is what Esther Schmidt does best and she wrote another good. I love her writing style fast paced and so easy to read. I started was hooked and before I new my percent was nearing 100. It was an addicting story I couldn't put down. Our hero was hot! Our was loveable! They were perfect together. I am hoping some side characters get stories.
Oh my, the chemistry and sparks flew off the page from the moment eyes met eyes. A dating show, two contestants and money to win, but Eloise is happy just with the fee agreed. Lucas though is not just a former winner but this is his third time on the show. But nothing is ever straight forward so we get a villain, worry and fear give us the suspenseful build up, there are one or two twists, well we need those to add to the excitement. Then there's love, hard and fast, hot and heavy, deep and emotional. Me? I was all over the place, happy, scared, worried and angry, then I was swooning with happiness and love. Fabulous characters, great pace and flow, well written and interesting. I got lost and carried away with the plot, fell in love with not just the two main characters but their family and friends as well. I wanted to work reception at the shop, well except when bullets are flying around lol, I don't do blood like that. I didn't want it to end, as always I want my characters whole lives not just a portion, I invest in them and their happy ever afters.
Strange plot, really boring in the middle and loads of spelling mistakes.
Elle meets Lucas on a dating show, but he’s also her new boss at a tattoo shop. I found it really bizarre that Elle went on a dating show to build her confidence up. 🙄 Elle has really bad scars on her back and neck after she saved a man from a burning car. So she thinks going on a stupid show will help her confidence???? 😂😂
Lucas and Elle have a lot of chemistry when they first meet, but Lucas gets a bonus when he gets the woman to do something sexually with him, and she does. It just seemed a bit gross to me! Lucas is a man whore before he meets Elle, which I didn’t like. As everywhere he went women were falling over themselves to get to him. Err okay….. 🥱
I have to say that I didn’t particularly either of them, and the book was really boring once they got together. There was no excitement, and I didn’t feel any chemistry between them.
Past Tryst is a great story, the plot's strong, Addy Archer/ Esther E. Schmidt did a wonderful job on it. From the moment Eloise and Lucas came in contact they were drawn to one another, the connection's strong, they're good together well matched and the chemistry between them was off the charts, sizzling, they were perfect together. I enjoyed Lucas and Eloise's story. This is a great story, I'd suggest reading it. Thank you, Addy Archer/ Esther E. Schmidt. Wonderful work :)
Eloise goes on a dating game show for the money never expecting to connect with the playboy of the show, Lucas, but after their brief interlude she escapes never expecting to see him again. The first day on her new job in a new city in walks Lucas, one of the owners of the tattoo shop she now works at. Lucas can't believe his luck in finding Eloise again, now he has to convince her to be his and help her deal with her past in this wonderful read.
These two had chemistry from the very start and quickly drew me into their story. My heart hurt when Eloise was faced with the truth that her pain and suffering was not truly an accident. I loved seeing the guys from Rebel Rage MC. I would love to see more of these two, The and Denny in the the very near future.
I’ve said it before, but I love when you pick up a book and it’s different. It’s not cookie-cutter for the genre and gives you something more. I felt that with this book.
Eloise – She’s not your average heroine in a book. The trauma she suffered and left with physical and mental scars stop her from making connections in various ways with people. She’s strong, but some things can’t conquer on her own. Taking a leap for a game show that turned out to be quite interesting was more than she anticipated. I love that as much as you want to dive in and knock people down, you see she doesn’t need you to. She’s pretty darn strong. She’s talented and lovely and in the end, takes nothing from anyone. Her ability to deal with the twists and truth in her story pulled on my heartstrings. She’s amazing!
Lucas – Such a cocky little, you know what! AH! I both loved and hated that about him. Dude, calm yourself a sec. But then at the same time, I wanted to just slide up to him and say, “how you doin’?”. I’m a complicated person, ok? In all seriousness, what I loved was that we get to see beyond the surface level with him. You see that he’s more than expected. His reaction to Eloise is genuine. So much so it throws him off his game (literally lol). Then learning about why he even started on the game show, makes you swoon a little. His dedication to his commitments, loyalty, unexpected protectiveness and reactions just made him hotter!
This was such a fantastic read for me. I loved the dating game show angle! How fun, and different. What a cool way to bring a couple together in the first place with the little twists to it. I’m a sucker for a good tattoo artist romance too. What is it about them? Oh and that little twist? It got me! Oh, the opinions I have! Overall, absolutely adored these two. It was fun, and interesting, and kept me highly entertained. Another fabulous winner from these two.
I loved everything about this book especially how these two main characters met at first. Eloise needed a new start to her life and needed money so why not sign up for a tv dating show! Enters Lucas, the player of the game and boy did he meet his match when he walked into the same room as Eloise. When they parted ways they both did not realize that their paths would cross again and boy did it! I felt like slapping Lucas upside the head a couple of times but at the same time my heart melted with how protected he instantly felt for her. Their chemistry is off the charts hot hot hot! The plot twist was not what I was expecting especially with what Lucas found out and how everything played out! Gus and Renny were great characters and of course loved the cross over with the Rebel Rage MC! I love when these two authors write a book together and I can’t wait for more!

Past Tryst had me hooked from the very first page. The storyline is unique and so very captivating. The characters have chemistry radiating off every page and the passion and emotion can be felt deep under your skin. Lucas and Eloise meet unconventionally for the first time but the attraction between them hits hard. When they cross each other's paths again tempers will flare but the chemistry is still as electric. There is plenty of drama, witty banter and some old familiar faces that will have you unable to put this book down. The characters were easy to connect to and the storyline draws you in and holds you captive. The heat and steam factor was off the charts between these two and will have your skin on fire.

Excellent read. Like most of their reads, I got lost in the storyline and characters and read this one in one sitting. The storyline is funny, sexy and has guest appearances by guys from Rebel Rage MC, one of my favorite MC series. The story starts off with our main characters (Eloise * Lucas) participating in a Reality Dating Show. Both are there mainly to get the much needed cash prizes and Lucas, being a player, enjoyed the “side perks” as well. But when it comes time for these two to meet, there is an instant chemistry, which for Eloise is a shock. You see she was involved in a past incident that has left both emotional and physical scars. But Lucas didn’t seem bothered by them. But a misunderstanding has Eloise grabbing her money for showing up and running before Lucas can find her again. But fate has other plans, when Eloise shows up for her new job at a tattoo parlor in the town she just relocated in. To her surprise, Eloise learns Lucas is one of the 3 owners of the shop and now her boss. As for Lucas, he is just as shocked. Can they overcome their past misunderstanding? And what happens when the past comes back to bite them all?
Excellent read. I highly recommend it and this reader sure hopes the other 2 shop owners get their stories told as well.
Lucas and Eloise loved the dating show angle and how she reacted had me said for her till the last man. Fireworks is the only word to explain how you could feel things between them. Finding out they now work together priceless. You got to see the chemistry grow as they become closer and it wouldn't be a Esther E Schmidt book without some twist and turns I loved it, and you got to see a few people from Rebel Rage MC. Hope she has the others in the works I'm invested and don't want to miss them.

Past Tryst is definitely a must read from the great duo of Esther E Schmidt & Addy Archer. Great Job!! The story line takes you from a game show in TV to a tattoo shop with hot tattoo artist, sexy bikers and great characters. What else do you want in a romance novel? I absolutely adored Lucas and Eloise's story! The chemistry is off the charts when they come together. I couldn't stop reading this book once I started. NO SPOILERS!! Hoping for Gus and Renny story in a near future.

I don't even know where to start with this!! It has ticked sooooo many boxes for me! Eloise has put herself well out of her comfort zone before going to start a new chapter in her life. And when that follows her to her new job?! Holy shit!!! The chemistry is crazy hot and totally melted me! And when her past turns up, plot twist!! I was not expecting it and that made me sad because Eloise did not deserve that but Lucas is prepared. Oh yeah, I freaking loved that little surprise too!! What?! Did you think I was going to let slip?! Come on!!!! Lol! Seamless writing again from this fantastic duo!! Absolutely loved it!!! I literally could not put this down! I tried so hard not too read this too fast but I have inhaled it on one sitting!
This is a great read by Ms. Schmidt. The characters are both instantly attracted to each other when they meet on a game show. The chase is try between them is off the charts and they both do nothing about it until later. When Eloise is hired at a Tattoo shop, she is looking for a place to call home. When she finally meets the last partner, she and he realize that the chemistry they felt on the show, has bloomed into a full fledged fire. Lucas is surprised when the new artist turns out to be the one he wanted on the show, but lost. He is feeling possessive and all alpha male, and they feel the pull and decide to ignore it. When trouble from Eloise’ past comes calling. He will learn that you do not touch Lucas’ woman. They get together and the future is bright and full of love.
With every new book Esther/Addy Archer releases I think another amazing read and my new favorite book and “Past Tryst” doesn’t disappoint. Lucas and Eloise were absolutely perfect for each other. He’s always played the field never wanting anything permanent until he meets her on a dating show and now can’t stop thinking about her. At the end of the show she chooses to take the money she needs to start a new life across the country with a new job waiting for her. When she shows for her first day of work fate steps in and brings them back together. Esther has hit it out of the park with her phenomenal storytelling!!
I literally could not put this book down. Eloise and Lucas met during on a dating show, and sparks fly between them. Days later they meet again at the tattoo shop she will be working at. ( Lucas is her boss😂.) This story is so freaking awesome. He's possessive, domineering and dang sexy, with a sexy grin that melts panties. Eloise is brave, strong and has a beautiful soul. I don't want to give away the plot, but let's just say she has a stalker. Lucas' protective streak comes out. Excellent characters and I can not express how freaking fantastic this book is 💞.
Wow!! Not the first thing that I did not love about this book! When you are on a television dating show and meet someone that really makes you feel. But you know it’s just a show, so you run! Only to show up at your new job in a new town and the one on the show is now your boss. This makes for a very interesting setting. There is twists in this book that keeps you so wrapped up that you will read all of it without even realizing it.
I absolutely love the newest collaboration with Esther and Addy. This book gives us Elloise and Lucas story. They meet on a dating show, and she immediately makes him forget every girl who came before. Sneaking out Eloise returns from the show to start a new job, with a very familiar new boss. You will love how these two get the sweetest ending.
From start to finish this book was an exciting read. Both Lucas and Eloise are strong characters, each having there own exciting journeys that bring them together. I loved how we still get to hear about past characters from other books we’ve enjoyed. Once you start be prepared to never want to put this book down.
This book is everything you could want wrapped into one! There's a little bit of TV dating show, tattoo artist/ shop, a bit of MC thrown in, a lot of chemistry, a misunderstanding, a new beginning, and a bit of a twist that I didn't see coming! Esther E Schmidt and Addy Archer did an outstanding job and can't wait to see what else these two bring us in the future!
Loved it! Lucas and Eloise meet on a dating show and the sparks fly! Little did they know they we're about to be working together. Then the sparks really start flying! This was a very engaging story with wonderful characters! These authors have done it again!
Eloise and Lucas meet on a dating TV show and soon find themselves in the same room again when the new hire, Eloise shows up at the same place as Lucas. The chemistry between these two is undeniable and Lucas has certainly met his match. I'm excited to see what's next.
