Bosk is a young half-orc looking to prove himself in the Human kingdom of Finrad. He will need to overcome the odds as he makes new friends and fulfills his dream. Along the way, he learns what he truly means to those around him and the community he has become a part of.
This book had so much potential! i loved the idea of the story and characters so much! but it was so rushed and short. I do understand all books are not 500 pages, but I truly believe there could have been so much more plot, character growth, world building etc.
with that being said. I would have given it 3 stars but for some reason I could not stop thinking about the story and characters. which doesn’t happen to me often anymore. I was constantly wanting to read the book, therefore gaining it another star.
So the author describes this as a love letter to themselves, this translates onto the pages! I smiled while reading this! I fell in love with Bosk and the Outcasts and would love to read more adventures with them! I've already read this book a few more times because it really calls to me. Having said that, I gave the book 4 stars because it felt like a series that got smashed into a single book. There was so much going on that it felt like the book could have been longer. With that in mind, it really speaks to the authors talent that in such a short time I'm already looking forward to next time!
