Rate this book
Recovery from addiction is a work in progress. That's because many things must change simultaneously for recovery to work. Dealing with multiple addictions, for example-or financial problems or relationship issues-can easily throw recovery off course. In Recovery Zone, Patrick Carnes shares simple strategies for maintaining and nurturing recovery, in the early days and beyond. A pioneer and innovator in the field of addiction treatment, Carnes understands what it takes to reach recovery-and stay there. With humor and insight, he identifies and discusses key topics including shame, grief, relapse, autonomy, lifestyle balance, and relationships. Recovery Zone's easy-to-follow workbook format leads readers through progressive tasks and activities.
