This author is one of the best!!!!

Okay sooooo…this book was something. 😂
Clean Up Woman was a decent read and definitely a wild ride, but it was NOT exactly what I was expecting when I first picked it up. I went into this thinking I had a pretty good idea of the type of domestic thriller I was about to get and then somewhere along the way I was like…
“Oh. So THIS is what we’re doing?! Okay then!” 😭😂
The story centers around Yana, a married mother who is working hard toward a promotion at her job and needs some additional help at home. Enter Sasha, the new nanny who is supposed to make Yana and her husband Shawn’s lives easier.
Keyword: SUPPOSED TO.
Because baby, this woman came into that house and things started getting WEIRD. 😂
From pretty early on, it was obvious that Sasha was doing entirely too damn much, and I kept waiting for everybody else to catch up. There were things happening that would’ve had me like, “Okay girl, thank you for your services, but you can go on ahead and pack your little nanny bag and GET OUT.” 😭
But of course, that would have made this a very short book. 😂
What I will say is that the premise definitely kept me curious. There was this constant feeling that something wasn’t right, and I wanted to know exactly what Sasha’s deal was and where all of this was headed.
And apparently the answer was:
STRAIGHT TO CRAZY TOWN. 😭😂
The further I got into the story, the more things started escalating. There was suspicion, deception, marriage drama, questionable behavior, people overlooking red flags that were practically doing CARTWHEELS in their faces 🚩😂, and eventually some twists and revelations that made the story much bigger and messier than I originally expected.
Some of it had me like “OHHHHH!”
And some of it had me like “…girl, WHAT?!” 😂
That’s probably the biggest reason this landed at 3 stars for me. I was entertained and genuinely wanted to know how everything was going to play out, but there were also parts where I had to suspend my disbelief a little more than I would’ve liked. Some of the characters’ decisions and reactions had me looking at them sideways because there is simply NO WAY we are ignoring all these signs! 🤦🏽♀️😂
Yana especially had moments where I wanted her to trust what she was seeing and stop second-guessing herself because SIS…
YOUR GUT IS SCREAMING. PLEASE LISTEN TO IT. 😭
And Shawn certainly wasn’t exempt from getting on my nerves either. There were moments involving that man where I was just like, “Sir…please. I don’t have the energy for you today.” 😂
But I will give the book credit because once everything started unraveling, there were definitely some revelations I wasn’t expecting. Just when I thought I understood what kind of story I was reading, another layer of mess would pop up.
By the end I was basically sitting there like:
“Well damn. Everybody in this book needs to reevaluate their life choices.” 😭😂
I also think the title ended up fitting the story in more ways than I initially expected. I went in with one interpretation of what a “clean up woman” was going to mean in this story, but as everything unfolded, that title started taking on a whole different energy.
Overall, Clean Up Woman was okay! It wasn’t a favorite thriller for me, and there were definitely some plot and character choices that kept me from rating it higher, but I can’t say I was bored. The mess alone made sure of THAT. 😂
It was dramatic, twisty, a little outrageous, and definitely not the story I thought I was getting when I started it.
But sometimes you just have to buckle up and let the foolishness take you where it’s going. 😂
And my biggest takeaway?
If the new nanny starts acting a little TOO comfortable in my house, there will be no 250-page thriller because sis will be unemployed by Chapter 3. 😭😂

Yana is a hardworking woman with big goals, but her nonstop work schedule leaves little time for herself or home. When she hires Sasha as a nanny to help out, Sasha quickly becomes a little too comfortable. As suspicions begin to grow, Yana realizes there may be much more to Sasha than she originally thought.

Clean Up Woman is a suspenseful thriller filled with secrets, drama, and unexpected twists. A quick read if you’re in a slump or looking for a little razzle dazzle. It kept me engaged from the begging to the end.

Did I stay up till 11? Something to finish this book yes
Did I enjoy the ending not as much I think that the storyline was good but it was just kind of rushed at the end then for three different people to come together and fight against one person is more than crazy but hey it is what it is, it was a gripping little thriller, and I honestly had me like who is it? Who is it? Who is it? Get that woman up at your house mama Sasha my ass
