Since my divorce, women have served a solitary purpose for me. The last thing I needed in my life was the headache of a relationship. I had no time or energy for anyone other than my son and my club.
But when a chance encounter with my son’s teacher turned into something I didn’t expect, I tossed aside all my reservations and took a chance.
I should’ve kept my distance.
I should’ve listened when she told me she had doubts about us, suspicions which she was yet to find out were justified, and let her walk away.
When our situation with the club heated up, posing a threat to everyone I knew, I could’ve convinced myself being without her was the best choice.
But I was selfish and refused to picture my life without her.
Will my decision to keep her close put her further in danger, exposing her to a life she never asked for?
And would she be able to find it in her heart to forgive me if my fear ever came true?

I'm an indie author who grew up with a love of reading and a very active imagination, never putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard until 2013.

I typically write romantic suspense, as I love stories with some twists and turns. I also love my HEA, although the road to get there is quite the journey.

Renner had the perfect life—a beautiful wife and a son. However, a tragedy shattered that life. The aftermath led to his now ex-wife's descent into addiction, initially with painkillers and later turning to drugs and alcohol. Renner tried to help her, supporting her in and out of rehab, and watched her struggle and self-destruct until he realized the detrimental impact she had on their son. In the end, they divorced, and Renner committed to remaining single while caring for his son, Colton.
Occasionally, he allowed his ex-wife to have supervised visits with their son and to collect him from school. However, when a call from Colton's teacher revealed that his son hadn't been picked up, Renner was livid. But when the teacher dropped his son off at the MC compound, he was both puzzled and shocked by her identity and by the sudden emotions she stirred in him. Emmy, passionate about teaching, found herself unexpectedly thrust into a conflict between a motorcycle club (MC) and a drug cartel when she offered to drop Colton off. When Renner realized that something was up, he had to ensure Emmy’s safety and moved her into his home, raising questions about his true motivations for bringing her into his home. As threats emerge from within Renner's circle, Emmy faces new challenges, can she trust Renner, or does he have ulterior motives? And while she grapples with his true motives, she knows she is in too deep, but she has to think of his son first and foremost. Can she walk away from a man, that now holds her heart?
The story is a quick and easy read, with a few heated moments, a few plot twists, and overall great characters.

Renner is the second book in the Knights Corruptions series by S. Nelson. I enjoyed this book just as much as the first book. I thought the storyline was page-turning and original. This book is a dark MC romance and touches on dark themes and topics. This book is an age-gap teacher/parent trope with a little baby-momma drama mixed in. I loved it so much. The characters are complex and have a chemistry that has a slow build. This book is the second in the series and needs to be read to understand the plot and the other characters.

Renner is a quietly, intense Alpha. He is older and wiser and knows what he wants. I love the loyalty and respect he has towards his brothers in the MC. I also enjoyed reading about his slow-building possessiveness and obsession he has for his son's teacher. Emmy is independent, guarded, and caring. I enjoyed her attitude and the steel spine she had throughout this book. She was not a doormat and stood up for herself. I thought the push and pull of their situationship was perfectly written. There was no instant falling in love but an instant attraction. They fought a good fight and I loved the aftermath when they finally gave in. The spice is at a medium burn in this book. It was just enough without going overboard.-By Brooke

Knights Corruption MC - Laredo, Book 2

I liked Renner (single dad) and Emmy (teacher). Emmy is a great friend of the heroine, Morgan, in the previous book Knights Corruption MC - Laredo, Book 1 - who is with Tag, a young member of the mother chapter.

Having not really delved into this author or the mother series, Knights Corruption MC Series - Marek (Knights Corruption MC, #1) by S. Nelson , I barely remember the continuing conflict or villain arc that has followed the club; however, with this spinoff of what seems to be a next generation and different chapter and city, trouble has found the club again, due to the actions of a couple of members who make a side deal with a Cartel, without club knowledge.

This conflict escalates in Laredo, Book 1, but it is not solved in this book, as Renner and Emmy's relationship take a strong center focus and part of that focus is elongated by Emmy's struggle on whether to be involved with Renner, due to his club, lifestyle and trust.

I will continue to read this chapter's stories and probably will go back to read the previous books.
Happy reading.

Knight's Corruption MC - Laredo Series Book #2
Renner and Emmy's story
What a great read!! Ms. Nelson continues to WOW me with her sexy alpha MC heroes time and time again! RENNER is book 2 in her Knight's Corruption MC -Laredo series. Single dad Renner has no intention on finding love when he goes to his young son Colton's classroom and meets his teacher Emmy. There's an immediate attraction between them and even though they know they shouldn't be together, their intense connection brings them together. Emmy is also gun shy with relationships due to a horrible break-up with an ex. Between a jealous ex-wife and the fear of imminent danger from a mysterious car that had been following her, Emmy finds herself confused and second guessing their relationship. I loved Renner and Emmy together. Banter and extreme chemistry made them fun and scorching HOT! Colton was such a sweet boy that would say the darnedest things!! It was wonderful being back with the whole MC crew and I can't wait to read what Ms. Nelson has in store for us next!!

RENNER: (Knights of Corruption MC—Laredo book 2) S Nelson 5 stars rev due 1/31/24
Renner & Emmy + Colton

He'd had a wife—note had. They'd been in a severe accident without their son. She'd become addicted to pain pills and alcohol. While he tried to help her now he was done. His kid deserved better. Women were no longer in his plans. At least until he met Colt's kindergarten teacher. Resisting her wasn't gonna be that easy. However, with what was going on with the MC, bringing a nice woman around wasn't right either. Could he resist her?

Life was dangerous but his son deserved a good life at home just as much as at school. Not to mention how long it had been since Renner himself needed that.

I'm a sucker for cute kids and this one is right up there on the list. This is book two in the three-book series (so far). Enjoy all the emotions, and the fun, and hope for more just like me.

I really enjoyed this book! Renner is part of the Knights Corruption MC and is recently divorced after trying everything to save his now ex wife from a drug & alcohol addiction. He has some custody of their boy Colton Dallas the ex can’t properly look after him.
I loved the Renner character and the noble nature he had taking care of his child. Renner meets Emmy who is Colton’s teacher when the ex fails to collect him from school and tell from there, their relationship develops. No cliff hangers or MC suspense plots, a rally good MC romance book!

Wow. What a book. S Nelson did amazing on this book. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Renner and Emmy together, they met before but it isn't until Emmy helps out Renner that they get to talk. Renner always said he never be in a relationship again but Emmy changed that. Emmy is there for Renner and same for Renner.

I can't wait for more.

Needed more!

While I liked this story, I felt that it needed to be better developed. Plus, it shouldn't have left us hanging because this character supposedly is done.
