Is something in the water turning people into shifters?
Anders Canyon is a sleepy town full of ordinary people that are developing extraordinary abilities. Is it related to heavy metals in the water? Government officials are investigating, but their stories aren't quite believable...
The mystery brings together neighbors searching for answers in a bite-sized series of sizzling stories of unrequited crushes, second chances, and friends-to-lovers, all with hilarious shifter mishaps!
This collection includes the novellas Something in the Water, Abruptly a Bear, and Hare Today.
Elva Birch is an author of the impossible and irresistible. She is a fire dragon Gemini living in Alaska who belly dances outside at twenty below in the winter and loves to find tiny fairy moss worlds in the summer with her camera.
Elva also writes SHIFTING SANDS RESORT, GREEN VALLEY SHIFTERS, and FAE SHIFTER KNIGHTS as Zoe Chant.
Another light-hearted, low-angst shifter romance series that was perfect bedtime reading and genuinely made me laugh in places. Looking forward to reading the last two in the series now.
I feel like there's an entire sociological thesis that could be written about the wild popularity of these kinds of safe warm hugs of shifter romance stories over the past five years. If you'd asked me of 2019 if she'd even consider reading these kinds of stories, I'd have sworn they'd never in a million years appeal to me - but here I am now, chain-reading them because they're exactly the brain candy I need at this point in my life.
Note to self: don't be a book snob and let people like what they like in future - you never know when you're suddenly going to start loving it too.
Very interesting concept and if I'm being honest I wish these were less romance focused and more focused on what is happening to the town and who is nosing around about it. Definitely wish I had more info about that. The couples are cute but the stories are short so I didn't develop much attachment to any of them. All in all these were decent reads. I am not sure if I will continue on with the series. Possibly when I get my TBR under control.
Three stories in which people in one town turn into animals, but not the same animals. A dog. A cat. A bear. A hare. A mountain lion. Each story has a couple finding love - attraction. There are two women who seem unaffected for no known reason. An interesting puzzle. Content includes sex.
Finally the Suddenly Shifters stories together! If you haven’t read them before, and you enjoy a mystery of people suddenly becoming shifters and the hilarity that ensues (with some spicy moments) then you should get this book!
Suddenly Shifters collection 1: A comedy novella collection of people young and old turning into shifters of different kinds of animals. A couple of short stories of funny moments and of desperation.
Strange things are happening in the small city of Ander's Canyon. Animal sightings, shadowy government agents, sudden onset Shifters falling in love ❤️
Three wonderful books in one collection. All of them are page turners. I enjoy the writing of this author very much. She keeps the story interesting on each page. These books are about a town where people can suddenly change into an animal, for some unknown reason. I also listened to the audiobook recording of this book and highly recommend it. The narrators are very talented and can vocalize the characters well. There are two different narrators, one male and one female. They switch off taking the different chapters. The recording is unabridged.
