I'm not the biggest Witcher fan, but I do really like this book of short stories and have read it a handful of times over the years.

I think I prefer overall the more-or-less self-contained side quests more than an overarching plot, although of course there are seeds of it in one of the stories here too.

Solid recommend and one I'll keep coming back to every few years, no doubt!

A great read that I can't seem to fathom why I hadn't opened this up sooner. It provides a nice entry into the world of the Witcher, though you should be prepared to Google some of the beasts he encounters, as I didn't realize there were so many different types. It also gives you a nice introduction to the main characters and their relationships. I greatly enjoyed this and it wasn't a difficult read at all. I would recommend this easily to anyone out there looking for a nice fantasy novel.

shrek (Geralt) and donkey(Roach) off on a whirlwind adventure. Pretty cool collection of short stories surrounding our favorite grumpy Witcher. Most of these short stories are dark, twisted versions of Grimm's fairy tales, which reflect their original tales.
