📌 A gripping tale of a boy with dissociative identity disorder (DID) who sets out to seek revenge for his father’s murder.

•• INSIGHT: Lucas Bailey, a seventeen year old boy has DID because of which he goes into a shell. He gets to know a lot of things about his father’s murder and how things are connected with his DID. He and his friend, Stella decide to take revenge for his father’s death. The story is about how they reach the culprit and how things are related to his child alters and The King.

•• REVIEW: The Eternal’s Gambit is a fantasy fiction which deals with Lucas’ alters and his father’s death. The story is well presented and the author has described each and every event meticulously. The book and its storyline has the capacity to be made into a movie. I loved the character sketches of all the people, Stella’s being my favorite. This was a lengthy read but an element of surprise was maintained throughout. Author’s efforts in terms of imagination and the portrayal shows. An amazing debut of the Author, I must say. Great work.

•• STRENGTH: 1. The story was so beautifully written that a #movie was running in my mind throughout.
2. The characters have been very well explored and superbly penned down.
3. The cover page is designed thoughtfully and the title also suits the content of the story.
4. The story flows seamlessly without any roadblocks.
5. The language is sophisticated.

•• WEAKNESS: 1. Being of 500 pages, the book was a long read.
2. There were too many characters in the book.
3. Because two plotlines were running simultaneously, it was a bit confusing in the beginning to understand and connect the dots.

•• TARGET READERS: Avid readers having interest in fantasy fiction would love this book. This book is not ideal for new readers because of its proficient vocabulary.

•• GENRE: Fiction-fantasy

•• RATING: 4.2/5
