Greed has always satisfied himself with owning the best anyone can find. Rare horses, gemstones, magical objects that are one of a kind, he always has the best.

Until her. The thief who continues to elude him.Varya doesn’t realize he’s the cat, and she’s the mouse. He’ll track her. Play her game. Let her think she’s winning, and then he will own her mind, body and soul.

I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

The first book was about Lust and this one is about Greed and I’m trying to figure out how I love this book even more than first one. It’s one part Tomb Raider and another part The Mummy while being incredibly unique on its own.

The MMCs are an absolute delight with witty banter and sexual tension dialed to one hundred. Varya, our FMC, is a force to be reckoned with and Greed is questioning everything about who he is because as long as he has known, he could only be one thing which is greedy. Greed by the way is a redheaded himbo to the max and it makes me feral.

While I feel these books can be read as a standalone I would highly recommend reading them in order because each book is about one of the seven deadly sins (*demons* in this case). It’s incredibly captivating, filled with adventure, steam, swoon worthy moments, and action.

You do get a glimpse at the next character which will be Gluttony and I’m so excited. He’s a soft emo boy.

This was not my favorite Emma Hamm book. I love her and her stories. However, this one was a little bit disappointing.

It started out great and until halfway through the book, I would have given it at least 4 stars.

I love Varya and I even love Greed somewhat. Nevertheless, what started out as a great adventure story about this strong female character and her rescue of the demon king, and their subsequent desert adventures, soon became very repetitive and tiring. The pace of the action became very slow in the middle.

Look, I honestly understand that he is a demon, but literally, the Horder kept wreaking havoc on the kingdom and plotting to overthrow him and he wasn't going to do anything? Until, of course, Varya had to convince him to do it and it was the pivotal change to make him care for this subject and conveniently save the kingdom, which in turn erased the last obstacle for the main ship to sail. It's just too convenient, and not subtle at all.

I will continue to read the series I just need more subtlety and for characters like Varya who have such strong beliefs not to set those aside for the convenience of the happy ending and smut.

There I said my piece of mind, excuse me!

As always Thank you for the ARC Emma!!!!

Ever wonder what Greed would be like? Mean, Evil, and annoying? Well sometimes he can be annoying but never the others! A sweetheart of a man that has an attitude is how I like to describe him! But let’s talk about Varya another amazing character in this book! Spunky! Always able to to take care of herself and an adventurer! Greed might not like how much she takes care of herself, but she always her own shining armor! This series is an amazing read along with amazing characters! I eat up anything that Emma writes and honestly so should you! Greed has become one of my favorites but I feel like that might change next book! Seriously read all the books in this series and dive into her others!

This wasn't my favorite Emma book. I was 🤏 [**this close**] to DNF'ing it because it was seriously lacking. The first 3/4 of the book was extremely repetitive and almost tiring. The storyline felt rushed. I liked the dual POV. Greed would find Varya, she'd run, and he'd find her. Greed would find Varya, she'd run, and he'd find her. Greed would find Varya, she'd run, and he'd find her. No, I'm not kidding. When this happened the third or fourth time, I was done. If this was going to be a book about Greed continuously chasing her, I wasn't going to finish the book. It was as if the book "required" so many words & 300 pages of unnecessary words is what we got, because it's a 500-something-page book; it really could've been a 200-page book without all the garbage plot. The book finally picked up in the last.... 100-or-so pages, when they realized they had something together, stopped denying it, & decided to rid "their" kingdom of the Horde. The action was there & the book is better toward the end. I found a few grammatical errors along the way, which tends to annoy me. I WON'T read this book again. I had high expectations [because Lust & Selene's sorry was soooo good!!!] and I was seriously disappointed 😞.

Spice level:🌶 [and that's being generous]

This was not my favorite. I started it in July and put it down 79% of the way through and didn’t pick it back up until September (and the only reason I did is because I didn’t want to DNF that far along.) It was truly fine, but there was just something about it that fell so flat about it all. Greed was very one dimensional; like o get he is the spirit of Greed but he should really have other personality traits than “I’m so greedy! But wait… am I?” Varya was a badass, but it wasn’t enough to save this for me.

That being said, sign me up for Gluttony’s book.

This was fun, but I didn't love it as much as Demon Court. I think Greed just wasn't as compelling. I also feel like the resolution came so quickly? Overall fun and I'm keen for Gluttony's story.

I was chosen to read this as an ARC and this is my honest review.

"He’s searched the entire realm for the ultimate treasure… her.

Varya lives in the shadows. As a tomb raider, it’s easier that way. Known for obtaining the unobtainable, she risks life and limb to provide for her small desert town: a magical chalice with never ending water, an amulet that heals, a map that shows where all the other magical objects are."

This is Greed's book and we are met with Varya. Varya is a little firecracker and someone that cares deeply about her home and it's people. She relates to the trauma they face. She has an adventurous spirit within her (no, not like our boys do) and it so gives me Tomb Raider Lara Croft vibes. And I am HERE FOR IT.

We are already familiar with the world setting since this is book 2 of the Seven Deadly Demons - if you aren't go read Lust's story! You won't regret it. It was very easy to jump back into the kingdoms and the setting for Greed's was better than I was expecting. I literally started this in the morning and I just couldn't put it down. I can't believe I read this in one day. But that's how captivating it was.

I would have to say so far Greed's story is my favorite so far. The adventure, the spice (sizzling), stubbornness, and the banter between the two main characters...And I can't skip over the fact that Greed is a sexy thang AND IS A GINGER. YUM. You don't see too many male love interests that have red hair these days.

So if you love subjects on the Seven Deadly Sins, mythology, settings where it's a desert adventure, and love spice, this is the book for you. I anticipate the next book which I'm guessing is going to be Gluttony, whom is introduced to us in this book. And his character doesn't disappoint ;)

Thank you, Emma Hamm, for choosing me to be one of your ARC readers! I was definitely surprised and it made my day when I received the email <3

Ahhhhhh!!!! Where do I start?!

THIS BOOK has me in a chokehold and I like it. This is the second book in Emma’s new series about the seven deadly sins and centres around Greed, the thick (yes I mean his muscles) ginger, hunk of a demon king and the feisty Varya.

I didn’t think the demon court could be bettered but how wrong I was and really, what was I expecting from Emma. She’s amazing at what she does and this just proves it.

The way she has created this whole world and it’s different kingdoms and how they flow from one to the other so seamlessly is a testament to her talent.

I couldn’t put this book down. The banter between Greed and Varya is next level and honestly, I couldn’t help but smile while reading it. Varya is such a fierce female character with a feisty attitude that puts Greed in his place and makes him question everything.

And then we’re teased with an appearance by gluttony and ooh am I excited for his book 😍🔥

I was lucky enough to receive an arc copy from Emma , which I am so grateful for. I’ll be buying her special edition of this book when it’s released.

Please, please, do yourself a favour and pre-order this book. You won’t be disappointed. It has demon kings, spice, feisty female characters, touch her and die, strangers-friends-lovers and so much more.

I’m never gonna stop raving about this book!!!

I loved this book! Varya completely stole the show for me—she’s witty, fearless, and refuses to take anyone’s nonsense, not even from a Demon King. Every time Greed tried to push, she pushed right back, and I loved how she stood her ground and told him off when needed.

Their first(ish) encounter in the cave was easily my favorite part. The banter between them was sharp, funny, and full of chemistry—it hooked me instantly. Varya’s slow-burn feelings made sense for her character, while Greed’s obsession happened almost instantly. It did feel a little unnatural at first, but honestly, it worked for the dynamic, and I didn’t mind it too much. Plus, I really appreciated how Greed slowly shifted throughout the story—he actually listened to Varya and tried to meet her where she was.

That said, the reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is because the kidnapping trope was overused for me. The FMC ended up captured way too many times, which took away some of the tension since it became predictable.

Still, this was such a fun, witty, and banter-filled fantasy romance. If you love morally grey heroes, strong heroines, and enemies-to-lovers tension, I’d definitely recommend picking this one up.

I am loving Emma Hamm's take on the "Demon Kings" of each deadly sin. I've read similar stories, but she has found a unique telling for each sin. Greed might be the most challenging King to conquer (imo) but I still have several more books to go before knowing for certain.

Emma Hamm strikes again, y’all. This series is SO GOOD and I am trying to space them out because if I read all four in two weeks then what will I do while I wait for the remaining three?!?! Suffice it to say, this story, Greed and Varya's relationship (both emotionally and smuttilyyyyyyy), and the other world-building aspects that open up the following books in the series, all kept me RIVETED. At this point, it's only a matter of time before I read every book this woman has ever touched. 4.5⭐, rounded to 4 on Goodreads

Thank you to Emma for the ARC 🥹

This is book 2 in one of my newest favourite series, Seven Deadly Demons. It follows the seven deadly sins who live on floating isles, each ruling their own kingdom. This story is about Greed and a thief named Varya 🤩

This is a touch her and you die insta-love/attraction trope. Now, I normally am not a fan of insta-love BUT Emma does such a great job of keeping it interesting and still making it a slow burn relationship 😍 The world this series is set in is SO creative I can just never get over it.

Varya was such a strong BADASS. She is basically a fiesty female Indiana Jones lol. The adventures she would go on were such a fun part of the story and I was rooting for her the whole way. Greed was wow 😅 I loved seeing his mental growth throughout the book. Their banter was top tier & their personalities worked so well together.

Emma’s writing really is phenomenal and she builds this beautiful world that you just want to get lost in. I love that she includes the brother of whichever book is next so you kind of get to see their personality as well.

Truly the best part really was the crumbs we got to see in this book of the other brothers 🥵 When I tell you I am not even ready for gluttony’s book omg

This continues on to be one of my fave series 🤩

Soooo. I loved the first book. The emotions were spot on, their development, I loved how they mixed together. It honestly made me feel all the things!
However, I just didn't click with Greed. He is not the type of MC I like. Like sure, possessive but... Not in the way I like it in books? I think? Idk, something about him just didn't feel so compelling to me and I just didn't swoon over him or like him that much. Other than that, it was too much of the push and pull between the MCs, maybe even a touch too much of bad communication that didn't make me that crazy about them as a couple.
Sorry, Greed. You're not the sin I'd pick.
NOW GLUTTONY HELLO.

I am so excited to read about him because he seems... 👀👀👀

Yet again, Emma Hamm has delivered another fantastic read.

I loved this story. The chemistry between Greed and Varya was the perfect balance of both spicy and romantic.

Varya is a wonderful female lead, adventurous, selfless, and stubborn. It was so fun reading the interplay between her and Greed.

It was so enjoyable seeing Greed evolve throughout this story, and I loved that Varya ran rings around him!

It's a rare story where the characters are better because they are together, and with this series, every book so far has delivered that.

I can't wait to see what Gluttony gets up to.

I’ve loved the Seven Deadly Demons series so far, and I truly cannot wait for more! I’ve always loved seven deadly sin based stories, so this twist on them being spirits who each rule their own land, being called demon kings, has been so much fun.

This book is Greed’s story. It picks up right where we left him in The Demon Court, having left to head home after visiting Lust and Selene. But it’s clear the two of them and their lovey dovey behavior have had an effect on him. However, the second he arrives in his kingdom, he’s attacked. A group called the Horde, that is apparently a big problem that he’d been unaware of, managed to capture and subdue him. Only for him to be saved by a beautiful thief.

Varya helps rescue him, despite not really wanting to. She feels somewhat obligated. There’s a lot of chemistry between the two right away, and Greed is all aboard. Wanting to keep her as a treasure. But Varya resists, wanting to hate him, wanting to keep people in general at a distance. But while they hide from the Horde and Greed is still struggling to heal, she begins to give in a bit to the attraction between them. But she refuses to let a man keep her and lose herself in them.

When she eventually makes her way away from him, he hunts her down. Greed covets. He’s Greed, after all. And seeing Lust with Selene, a beautiful and more powerful woman than any they’d ever known, made him realize he wants that for himself. He’s jealous of Lust for having her and wants someone that will make his brother’s jealous for once. Along with his attraction to Vanya, he thinks it’s perfect if he makes her his newest acquisition. But Varya will not accept being owned.

There’s treasure hunting, tomb raiding, The Mummy/Indiana Jones-esque adventures, and plenty of battles. Which is all so fun to read! But the heart of it is Greed and Varya’s relationship. There’s a lot of back and forth, a lot of running and chasing. And I do love a good chase! Seeing the two of them push and pull each other was fantastic. But eventually they have to face facts. They want each other, but they understand the world and relationships very differently. It proves to be a challenge to their budding relationship.

Watching them overcome these challenges and learn and grow from them, was incredibly satisfying. Greed had a lot of learning to do especially. As a spirit of Greed, he struggled with other emotions. But learning how to feel them and accept them, to accept who he is, and to then want to change for himself, not just for Varya, but for him, was an amazing arc. As for Varya, she was so insistent on remaining apart, on not accepting love. And when she did, she had to struggle with Greed and accepting who and what he was as well. To accept who she was, even as she changed for Greed. Watching their journey was wonderful. Plus, there is some amazing smut! Seriously, so good. Their chemistry is explosive.

The plot revolving around the rebel group in the kingdom comes along with a warning from Wrath that this may be an issue throughout all kingdoms. Mortals, looking to overthrow and trap the demon kings. Greed manages to handle things here, but I’m so curious to see as we go through the other demon kings what this could bring with it. There’s also hints of issues with Wrath and Pride, and that sounds very intriguing!

The side characters here were also great. I especially loved Gluttony and can’t wait for his book! He had both a dangerous and wise air to him. He acts similar to a vampire, and looks similar as well. Not to mention living in a swamp kingdom with no sunlight getting through. It’ll surely be an entertaining ride when we get to him! Meeting other spirits was fantastic. I love seeing all the different ones out there and how they live and behave with their set emotion. Then seeing them branch out from that and become more mortal. Speaking of mortals, Varya’s group of friends, specifically Altan, weren’t around much, but when they were, I really enjoyed seeing that side of things.

I would definitely recommend this book if you love fantasy, romance, adventure, smut, and sin! It’s a fun story with enough of all of these aspects to keep me reading without wanting to put it down!

wow, a 5 stars?
I want to border it more towards 4.5 but I'm totally okay with keeping it at 5. I feel like Hamm has a really solid world. I wish she had a map because holy crud, it's kind of hard for me to picture it in my head, but that's only because I have a lot of problems visualizing, SOB.

As I look through my highlights, I noticed Hamm says the word sledgehammer a lot? As the tool, but also using it to describe Greed. Just something I noticed lol.

Greed ... when I think about the word greed, it's just someone who is selfish, only thinks about what they can get out of people, and Greed wasn't necessarily what I would've thought the embodiment of Greed would be like. I don't think he was greedy in a lot of different areas and his greed was justified? But does that just make ME a greedy person at heart? Hehe, maybe. But I felt he was a nicely described character. I never went... huh? Although he had moments where it was re-affirmed that men are just DUMB. His thought process that he wasn't capable of change was quite annoying. Obviously you can change, and who better than to tell you that than Lust? I really wish Greed could've interacted with Lust a bit but I know he had JUST left Lust's kingdom.

Varya... ahhhh, what a great woman of empowerment. She was selfless and really wanted the best for her people. She is truly a queen that deserved to rule alongside Greed. I think that she was just in her actions even if she didn't go about it in the correct ways. She really is the definition of an adventurer. She has trouble staying in one spot but she also had no reason to stay in one spot until Greed. And even when she didn't, Greed dragged her back. I just loved the interactions with the two. Can you say this was a slow burn?

I wish that we were able to see about more of the secondary character's on Varya's side. We see a lot on Greed's side, although it is their world. The story is focusing more on the demon side, but I would've liked to see more of Varya's friends and gotten to know who they are. Although maybe that's an opportunity for Hamm to create novellas.

I look forward to seeing Gluttony's story, very rarely do we ever hear about gluttony in life, eating in excess. Or consuming in excess so it's interesting that Hamm set him up as more of a vampire who consumes blood. At first I was apprehensive that he was literally eating people like a cannibal but it doesn't seem like that's the route it's taking. He's very mysterious.

I'm having some negative feelings towards Pride and Wrath though.

My only experience with stories around the Seven Deadly sins is the one created by Gena Showalter and ugh I love that series. IT's more Pandora's box than anything but it can still encompass the deadly sins. So in comparison to that, I really enjoyed this story and I'm so far looking forward to this series and where it goes.

4.5☆ Greed

I'm loving this series so far and the fact there will be a book for every sin I can't. I'm looking forward to Gluttony he was such a good side character in this I loved him ♡ Varya will definitely give you a girl crush, I love that whilst she had feelings for Greed she wouldn't let him change who she was for his own selfish needs even if that meant running from him and making him hunt her down. Greed was a big cinnamon roll in the end but he still had his animal side that would burn down the world for his one ♡

Their paths were never meant to cross he was the demon king who rarely left the luxury of his oasis and she was a nobody, a wanderer, a thief. She raided and stole to keep her tiny village without a name somewhat fed. She stole items and relics that could be sold and traded. It was what had brought her to the cave where the Horde, a notorious group that took from Greeds already starving kingdom. They had captured him with their sights on taking over his kingdom and all Varya wanted was a map they possessed to lead her to some special artifacts, she used the fact their attention was on Greed to steal from right under their noses without a trace. Because she was no one. But Varya could never walk away from someone in need. Even if Greed himself had turned his back on his kingdom, she'd rescue him and return his to his throne before disappearing in the night. Oh, but Greed, being Greed, saw treasure when he looked at the beautiful warrior of a woman with hair like light gold, and he had to have her and add her to his collection. But Greed bit off a little more than he could chew with Varya, she was not a woman to be kept and even though she desired Greed as much as he her she refused to be another treasure in his eyes and be dripping in jewels whilst their people could barely find enough food to eat and water to drink. She would not forsake them as he had, and this was a hard pill for greed to swallow.
His animal instincts demand he protect her, but she is as wild as he and could not be tamed. He was a lion, but she was also a lioness.
Together, they could rule and make the kingdom better, but they were also stubborn in their own ways. They'd both need to bend to have the best of both worlds.

Definitely Recommend Reading 📚

The sequel to The Demon Court is here, The Demon Crown is the second book in the Seven Deadly Demons series. This book focuses on Varya, a thief, and the Demon King, Greed. These two make quite the pair and neither is what I expected them to be turning this into an epic read.

.
I don't think I've seen a couple better suited to each. Varya and Greed are quite the match, both have an adventurous spirit, stubborn to a fault, she's mischievous and he's playful, their connection is instantaneous and strong. On the flip side to that both have deep seeded issues, she cares for everyone but herself, and he cares for no one but himself, which causes some epic showdowns. Both have some growing and changing to do, and they manage to do it together without killing each other.

He falls first, she's having none of it and with his stubbornly flirty nature and her stubborn resistance, the back-and-forth between the two is very entertaining. They find themselves going on a few adventures together. I loved the tomb-raiding aspect of the story with it'd underground kingdoms, artifacts, beautiful puzzles, and deadly traps. It gave Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones vibes that's for sure. There was excitement, culture, history, and of course magic. Oddly enough the magic was a small aspect in this, just little things, a wall that is there but isn't, magical artifacts, helpful little spells, things like that.

Both Wrath and Gluttony pay Greed a visit and while Wrath's visit is Shor Gluttony stays a while. I'm very intrigued by Gluttony never mind that he may or may not be (he totally is) eating people (and not in the good way) but turns out Gluttony is very insightful and is speaking some hard truths that Greed doesn't wanna touch with a ten-foot pole. Not to mention a mysterious past that even his brothers know nothing about. Yes, I'm very interested in Gluttony's story.

The Demon Crown was spectacular, I loved getting to know Greed and Varya. I have to admit Greed was captivating and even with his flaws I liked him, a lot. Varya I wanted to shake more often than not but I could help but like her as well. I can't wait to see the other characters Emma has planned for the series, I'm crossing my fingers that Gluttony is gonna be next.

Okay, so I did take a breather for a day so I wouldn’t read this in two sittings. Also, yes I was putting it off cause I didn’t want it to end.

So I was instantly hooked. I don’t know what Emma puts in her books, but it never fails. By page 2 I’m always addicted. Greed, my man he’s well, greedy. His journey is a tough and infuriating one. Ever wanted to physically shake a character? Slap some sense into him? He might eat me for dinner afterwards, but it’d be worth it. I absolutely loved the way this book started. It left off with him retuning to his kingdom after being with Lust. I just like that not hardly any time had passed. I want to suck up every minute detail of this series.

I love that we have duel POVs. Or else I think I would go crazy 😂. Varya had her moments as well where I just wanted to scream at her! GIRL WHY ARE YOU RUNNING?

I did think this would be a bit similar in story to Lust’s and in some ways it is. But in others it’s soooo different and I love that Emma is giving them their own journey and story and not sticking to just one base story of a happy ever after. It’s all a big journey and I absolutely love that.

OKAY LETS TALK ABOUT IVO 😭💜
Dear Jesus I loved this character. I really need an Ivo novella, eh? 👀👀 He is loyalty to the very bone, but softened around Varya and became more in tune with his human side. His ending made me scream with happiness. I was really hoping he’d have a happy ending. And the fact that Greed was so okay with it. MISTY EYES.

Gluttony. Interesting how he came in really early. And stayed. I loved his commentary. And his small happy moments with Varya. He’s still a big huge question mark to me. I’m squirming to know his story now. He wasn’t afraid to call Greed out on his shit, and seem to already be a bit….good? But he definitely has a…problem. Without giving too much away.

So the spice. Ooooh the SPICE. So well done. So so so well done Emma dear. And this book is SPICY y’all.

So if you couldn’t tell, I throughly enjoyed this book. And I’m sure I will enjoy the next one just as much. Itching for a Ivo novella though. Yes I will die on this hill.

As always I love Emma’s writing and this book turns out even better than the 1st one. I know I can never be disappointed by Emma’s book but boy I didn’t expected to be thaaaat sucked in and enjoying it this much.

I loved that we got to see more of the different realms and the magic system. We didn’t only have insight about Greed’s realm but also about some of the other demons which only makes me want more and more about this universe.

I deeply connected with Varya. She is a FMC with a charged story and deep emotions. She is caring, strong willed and loving. I love that she got to put Greed back in his place a few time. Regarding Greed, I am amazed about how such a big man can turn out to be such a sweetheart. Of course sometimes I got sooo mad at his actions and words but oh boy everything was quickly forgotten. The tension and banter between the two of them was just perfect.

The storyline was sooo good with everything needed to have an awesome book : plot, spice, character development, tension, etc ! One of the thing I loved the most and that was so well written is the introspection and character’s development especially Greed’s one. Regarding spice level, the heat was turned up a notch in this one. Who could have guess that Lust was not the most spiciest of the brothers and that Greed could be able to give so much ?

There are also secondary characters that have their own story and their own spot to shine. I love this about Emma’s book. Each character is perfectly written with emotions (or lack of), depth, flaws and qualities, past and story, development, etc. I get to fall for lots and lots of characters and I can’t wait to see more of them. I neeeeed to see more of Glutonny because I have a feeling that despite his actions he is the brother with the more regrets, wisdom and instrospection.

Happy release day and thank you so much @emmahammauthor for sending me an ARC of The Demon Crown in exchange for an honest review! This thrilling read just came out, so don't miss out on it!
Emma definetely delivered with this sequel to The Demon Court! This novel focuses on Greed, Lust's brother, who we had already met. He meets a thief, Varya, who he falls head over heel with, and together they embark on a journey to defeat a dangerous criminal group.
Greed and Varya are very entertaining characters! They're both strong and stubborn, so it's funny to see the, struggle with their growing feelings. Varya learns that her life has value and that she deserves to take care of herself and to be taken care of by others. Greed learns that to love someone, you can't just keep them in a gilded cage, you have to let them fly, even if they may get hurt, because people have aspirations of their own. He also changes for himself, not for someone else, which was a very positive thing to see.
Varya's trauma relating to threath of being raped is very realistic. Even if nothing happened, that kind of threat has long lasting traumatic effects on people. Seeing her heal from it felt like a great tribute to survivors of SA.
We also meet two more of the brothers: Gluttony and one other I won't spoil (though I can say I wasn't expecting to meet him so early in the series!). I must admit my opinion of Gluttony changed so fast! Initially I didn't like him, but now I realize he has a good heart deep down. Gluttony is incredibly self-aware. He understands that the demon kings might have unwillingly made humans worse and that they have to take responsability for that and try to make it right. I'm very interested to see what his story will hold.
This is a great demon book and I can't wait to read the rest in the series!

TW:sexual content (including BDSM), murder, violence, threat of rape, abduction, reference to drinking blood, torture, drowning, PTSD.

I knew that this series would be promising, I just didn't imagined how much!
If you guessed that Greed would be very much like Lust, think again! I, in the other hand, think this is what I liked the most about these stories: Emma Hamm really gave her characters distinct personalities - even in bed!! (Honestly I thought Lust was a very loverboy and sweet, which made all the sense, and then we have Greed, the king of kinks hahaha).
Varya was such a good character! Although I will say that she bended to Greed's greedy requests too easily for someone who claimed she couldn't be tied down - or I could be just projecting...
And I know we had Greed's POV so we knew that he really cared for her, and wanted to have what Lust had (even change his own being), I still wanted Varya to make Greed crawl a bit more. BTW, that part of the story was really interesting to see. Could be Greed being a greedy bastard and wanted something new and fresh for him (to love a woman and change), a new "treasure" sort of speak, but I thought it was really interesting to see how he really wished and wanted to change, to evolve.
In the end I only wished we got to see more of the other characters, this book focused a lot of Varya and Greed - and their sex escapades. On the previous book it was more balanced (and more up to my taste!).
I have to say I'm curious to how all the other demons will follow! And I love that Emma Hamm is already planting the seeds with each book! Gluttony? A sort of a vampire? I'm living for it!!
