Being different can be a burden. It can also be a strength… When Fitt leaves Rockwood with her horse to take Awareness to the villages of The New, she knows it will be a challenge, not least because those she wants to help are terrified of her kind.
Upon arrival at the village of Bigwood, the worst of Fitt’s fears about her mission are realised. She takes the only way forward that she can see, but her actions go against the advice of her horse and the cost to herself is high. It is only when the cost to the people of Bigwood is higher that Fitt is forced to acknowledge her mistake. If she can rectify it, she will discover the extent of her power. If she can’t, the consequences will be deadly…
From A Spark Comes A Flame is a spin off novella from The Horses Rejoice (book two of The Horses Know trilogy).
Lynn Mann is a writer with a long-standing involvement with horses, both personally and professionally. She lives in Shropshire with her husband and their two dogs, two cats and two horses. All of her animals are rescues, although they have, in their own way, each rescued her in return!
Another Great Book for Lynn. I honestly can't get enough of her books. Well Written and they really resonate with your soul. These books have not only helped me with my riding but also to be a better person.
Fitts description is just how I imagined the kindred to be , The horse bonded are just like us with our trials and tribulations of how we see ourselves only for the horse to show us that we don't have to worry about those trivialities . The horses really do know.
Lynn Mann has been one of my favorite authors since I first read The Horses Know. Every book has been wonderfully written. The characters make you feel as though you are right there with them. The themes woven into the books make you stop and think, and this book is right on par with the others. It was fun to see things through Fitt’s eyes, and realize first hand her struggles and triumphs. Love all of these books!
Taking the horses’ advice to your heart will create healing in your own heart for your better life. Read this and just let it sink in, without analyzing. It will be the answer to the Big Questions of Life.
