Peter Pan #3

Tempête

Rate this book

The third volume of this 5-volume masterpiece from Liosel continues the re-reading of the Peter Pan mythology. As always, the illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and the story-telling is excellent. The story is starting to lose a little steam here in the third volume, but it gets a second wind in Vol 4.

Currently available on the Internet Archive, this is the third volume of a Peter Pan adaptation. This volume slows the story down a little although the action picks up and gets darker, with a hint of Jack the Ripper at the end. The comments on volume one apply here too.

Ainda assim, provavelmente vou continuar a ler, pois quero terminá-la. Esperemos que melhore ao longo do caminho.

EN This series is giving me mixed feelings.

While Loisel's artwork is undeniably stunning, the story and writing haven't fully resonated with me yet. The writing style makes me too aware that I'm reading, which impacts my immersion.

The story does have its interesting moments, but overall, it hasn't been particularly captivating so far. This is likely why it's been over six months since I picked up the previous volume.

Still, I'll probably continue reading as I want to see it through to the end—here's hoping it gets better along the way.
