I wanted to love this really badly, but... Peaches. Last time it was Violet who made me see red, and this time it was Peaches.
I'm not gonna rant for hours about it, but I just felt like there was a lot of gaslighting going on with Haze. She would retreat into silence and make him chase after her to find out what was wrong. She seemed to think it was his duty to find out what she was thinking instead of communicating herself. She blamed Haze for making decisions for her, but she never spoke up or tried to do anything, so why shouldn't he?
She definitely made a come back in the end, and all in all, the story is super exciting and the world-building is so creative, but I just couldn't get behind the romance as much as I wanted.
I hope to continue with the series because I truly adored the first 3 books, but I might take a break for a while.

He couldn't explain it, couldn't rationalize it, but she was already more to him than a simple mission. She felt like that aching place in his chest finally had a friend. She was a manabee caught in his palm. A firefly in a jar.

Oh, how I loved my dear sweet Haze! Ever since Lana teased us with a tiny glimpse of Haze and Peaches at the end of my babe Indigo's book The Secrets in Shadow and Blood, I've been dying for their complete love story, and Lana did not disappoint!
Ever since waking up in this new time, Peaches has constantly been beaten down and taken advantage of by those stronger and more powerful than herself. When she manages to upgrade her position to a blood slave for the queen, she doesn't question her new gilded prison as long as she's taken care of and left relatively unharmed...until an intimidating Vampire Guardian shows up unexpectedly, claiming he's there to rescue her.
Haze is a brute of a warrior who believes in justice and action above all else. He stumbles upon Peaches while on a recon mission at the palace and is immediately entranced by her vulnerability and quiet strength. Haze vows to rescue her from the palace, but the Unseelie queen is willing to sacrifice everything in order to keep her illegal experiments away from the watchful gaze of the Guardians...including kidnapping and torturing a Guardian of the Well.
Peaches was a bit more timid and unsure than her predecessors, but watching her gain confidence in herself and her abilities was so amazing. I loved how possessive and protective Haze was towards Peaches; the chemistry and steamy scenes between them made me blush while reading! And because Haze and Peaches' story coincides with Indigo and Violet's story, we get to see my favorite babe Indigo in so many scenes! I am so freaking stoked for Shade and Silver's story next, which will of course be titled 50 Shades of Silver, haha ♡

About 70% in and not going to finish this one. Will probably not finish the series neither as it has become tedious.

Peaches and Haze are adorable. I like that this book had a lot of good action but I’m ready for the main conflict to ramp up

I have been anxiously waiting for Haze and Peaches story! I love the Fae Guardians and Haze is no exception! He’s a rule abiding guardian that tries to save Peaches from the Unseelie court and finds himself on an adventure of a lifetime. I like how Peaches character is more meek in the beginning and then she grows into herself by the end! If you haven’t read any of Lana’s books yet, you need to check them out! Always a fun ride!

Another great book in the series. Kudo to the author for not rehashing every single detail of all the books up to date and just keeping the story flowing. That was great! I really liked the characters although I have to say Hayes got to be incredibly frustrating with the ego overriding any good sense situation.
But I think that's part of his whole makeup and his characters catharsis. Although I feel like maybe he's not quite there yet that might happen again in the next book but who's to say.
Definitely recommend and excellent narration BTW

UGHHHHHHHH!!! IT'S JUST SO GOOD, I CAAAAAAAAN'T!
Every book in this series has been literal perfection. Like - they're all simultaneously amazing, yet each new one is somehow better than the previous. Lana keeps upping the bar and the stakes and the tension. I am deceased.
I had a feeling I would love Haze & Peaches' story the moment I got to see them together at the end of the last book, and I wasn't wrong. I adore these two together. Haze is seven feet of brawn, brooding intensity, but he's immediately the biggest softie when it comes to Peaches. And Peaches is like five foot nothing (omg, the size difference - why am I totally into that?!), and while she starts off timid and unsure (considering what she's been through, it makes perfect sense. Her hesitancy to leave with Haze when he firsts arrives, for instance, is classic behavior for an abuse victim/survivor) - but watching this woman grow a spine and develop her own sense of power, self, and courage... needless to say, that is a plot line that will never get old for me. Never, ever, ever. It always delivers and it always leaves me feeling satisfied.
I will say that Queen Maebh is has proven to be skeevy AF (what we learn about her past relationship with Shade, plus that epilogue, has me anxious as hell for the next book, I'm already biting my nails) - like, from the crazy Unseelie orgies of blood, drugs, sex, and human slaves, to her her general sense of depravity (and insanity) - she's clearly a forced to be reckoned with, and I have a sneaking suspicion that things are going to come to a head with her in the next book. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm also terrified.
Lana knows how to write a good villain that makes your skin crawl, that is for sure.
But back to the good stuff - Haze & Peaches. I really do love their dynamic, their chemistry, how good they are together. Haze is the epitome of gentle giant energy when it comes to our heroine, and I couldn't have asked for a better hero, nor a better pairing. They're just so wholesome, I can't.
The big rescue towards the end was all kinds of fun. I love seeing the other Guardians in action, or just interacting with one another in general. And Cloud... oh my lord, heaven save me, I am in love with that Crow. He's just so perfect. Send help.

I struggled a lot with how to rate A Labyrinth of Fangs and Thorns, but ultimately went with a lower number on the potential spectrum, because I think I like the idea of this book more than the book itself. I've been craving a rich fantasy romance with individual H/h pairings in each book for a long time, and when I found Fangs and Thorns, it seemed like the perfect fit. However, maybe my expectations were too high, because it missed on every single count.
Peaches and Haze's relationship wasn't insta-love in the sense that it took over 50% of the book for them to fall in love, but it was insta-love in the sense that their feelings clicked on like a switch. There was very minimal build-up - they barely spend any time together in the first half of the book - before they both just decide, yup, I love him/her, they're my mate. What frustrated me the most was there was plenty of space and plot moments where the heat between the two could be built up to feel more natural and gradual, and that just ... didn't happen.
On top of that, the plot was incredibly awkward. Events would happen for seemingly no reason - or for the flimsiest, most convoluted reasons - and always just seemed to lack the gravitas and impact that they were meant to have. My biggest complaint about the plot is tied to Peaches's character development. A very pivotal moment happens for her, when she decides to take control of her own life and make her own choices, and all of that is glossed over with a two sentence mention in the next scene. This happens a lot in the book: For whatever reason, important and interesting scenes are shirked in favor of one paragraph of simple exposition.
This happens right up to the end for their HEA. After a lot of annoying and frankly unnecessary struggle, Peaches and Haze are finally reunited and we get one paragraph of their HEA. It's literally something like, "He carried her upstairs, bathed her, and they made love. The end." Wholly unsatisfying, considering Pecherczyk seems fond of separating the two of them for extended lengths throughout the book, stunting any chances of a realistic bond forming between the two and my overall attachment to them and hence enjoyment of Fangs and Thorns.

This book was absolutely epic! I have loved every other book in this series & this one is no exception. If you like hot alpha vampires, then this is definitely the story for you. The characters are so well written & the story is expertly woven. I cannot praise it enough.
Haze & Peaches story takes place at the same time as the first book in the Season of the Vampire & I love seeing the events play out at this time from a different point of view. Peaches has been knocked down from her time spent in the Fae world after waking 6 years ago. I love seeing the little glimpses of strength that she has & her character growth is wonderful. Haze's backstory is completely full of heartbreak & I loved how Peaches was able to wiggle her way past his walls.
This series is broken out as a series of standalones, so each book focuses on the main couple, but does feature past couples. there is also an overarching storyline & villain throughout the full Fae Guardian Series, beginning with the Season of the Wolf.
Haze & Peaches story takes place at the same time as the first book in the Season of the Vampire & I love seeing the events play out at this time from a different point of view. Peaches has been knocked down from her time spent in the Fae world after waking 6 years ago. I love seeing the little glimpses of strength that she has & her character growth is wonderful. Haze's backstory is completely full of heartbreak & I loved how Peaches was able to wiggle her way past his walls.

Lana Pecherczyk must be Well Blessed because she has another hit on her hands.
A disclaimer for those who don't like lots of spice in their romance: Don't read this book or this author. Lana Pecherczyk truly can keep the heat going all day and night. And this scrumptious vampire once he's had his Well Blessed mate's blood the spice and heat is ramped all the way up.
This author's books generally always have very well rounded characters. Flawed but good or redeemable. Haze and Peaches are no different but I really felt this book is just a transitional one. It is leading up to the next book where things seem to really start falling into place because we get inside the human city. (FYI dystopian fantasy series.)
I couldn't put the book down. Transitional, meeting new characters and a few new challenges gives the reader a nice breather from the smoldering heat between these two Well Blessed.

I wasn't sure how this book would play out being based on damsel and the need for a hero. It didn't play out liked I hoped sadly. Most of Lana's heroines are badass from the start, while Peaches was soft. I had hope that she wouldn't need others to realize her strengths, but honestly it was slightly worse than that.
Peaches has been a blood slave basically for 6 years. She's currently living in the Winter Court hidden as a Pixie for the Queen. She finds herself content because she has a place to sleep, food and only one person feds from her.
Haze accidentally finds Peaches and is set to save her. He continues to put her first throughout the book. Together they are trying to escape a mad queen while being stuck in a palace.
Downfall of this book is sadly Peaches. She has miscommunication and self doubt down so bad. It's only when she's forced to do something that she actually does it, and honestly once she finally stands up for herself I'm tired of her.

I skipped most of the book cause it was the story of what happend to them in book 4 and I didn't like that , it was boring cause I knew what I needed for the rest of the story , she could do small chapters about what happend in the beginning or in the middle like a flashback to tell us what heppend not almost all the book , the end was rushed and I needed to see them together in the book , to know their chemistry their relationship like the first two books , but in this one it was just the past and a few pages of now and thats it

AH! This series just keeps getting better and better. Peaches and Haze had one of the purest relationships out of the entire series and I'm absolutely dreaming over their story. Why does it have to be overrrr? Their story, not the series!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE two damaged people coming together to heal each other and finding their inner strength. Lana did such an amazing job giving these two a healthy background, without info dumping and explaining why their trauma lead them to be or act a certain way. Instead of being a victim, Peaches knew that for as long as she continued to live, she could not belong to anyone but herself.
Haze needed someone he could love and trust completely, not something that would slip through his fingers once again. They both needed family and they found each other.
Honestly, I don't know how I'm going to wait for the next one. It's going to be a challenge, I'm sure.

The turning point, the part where she finally grows a pair.
I have an aversion to characters I view as weak. I cannot stand the need someone to protect me, please help characteristic some characters have. But there is an exception - those who start fighting back or those that don't but have a quiet strength about them.
Sadly, Peaches did not really have either except for a splash at the end. It wasn't enough to bring my review up as I am prone to stronger female leads but I do like that the writer stuck to her guns and kept her character consistent.
I would have liked further elaboration on the history of Haze, it feels like an opportunity was missed to play on our heart strings a bit more with the writer only mentioning his loss here and there.
Overall, a good book but not 100% my cup of tea.

Ugh. Why do I always get sucked into a series that isn't finished yet? GAHH!!!!
Anyway, this book was amazeballs. I like that all the backstories kind of have their own book but it's weaved together enough that it helps keep the main story line going.
Peaches and Haze.. sigh... what they wouldn't do for each other. It is truly amazing the relationship that they developed so quickly and you get completely drawn into it with no questions asked. Its like you're standing in the middle of the room watching it all and rooting for this person and that person and you forget that it's just words on a page.
Pecherzyk has a true talent for getting you lost in the story. One I am looking forward to continuing.

I absolutely love Haze & Peaches story.
I love how sweet & unassuming Peaches is, she has accepted that her place in the queens palace is better than trying to survive. When Haze shows up it throws her existence into chaos & confusion.
Their relationship starts as hostile and slowly as they end up being used against each other, develops into so much more.
Haze & Poppy have to not only survive the Unseelie queen, & her castle, but also the labyrinth underneath & the goblins that live there.
There are so many epic creatures & battles, banter, spice & so much adventure. Peaches grows so much over the course of this book & I love seeing her character development & watching her embrace her powers.

The tale of Haze and Peaches is quite intense and had me in its thralls! Having a character with a serious confidence issue plus suffering from almost a Stockholm syndrome, I was really invested in seeing this tale through. Tales of rescue can almost become repetitive, but this author truly makes each take a unique experience! Loved this and can’t wait for more! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

A Labyrinth of Fangs and Thorns is another fantastic book in the Fae Guardians series and another instant favorite of mine. Lana has took everything you could want in a vampire book and created Haze and Peaches story.
This epic fantasy is full of action, magic, sexy vampires, and more than a little steam. Haze and Peaches story was nearly impossible to put down and I absolutely loved every page and as with all of Lana’s Fae Guardian books I cannot wait for the next.

This book was hard to put down. It was engaging and funny. I loved the goblins and the way they were written. Haze and Peaches were great leads, relatable and lovable.
I also really love the way the major storyline is developing and all the insight we get into Maebh's world/mind.
Can't wait for the next one!

This is the second book in the Season of the Vampire And it just keeps getting better and better. The world, building is incredible and set far far in the future and is a world filled with magic, shifters, fae, vampires and so many more supernatural beings. This is Haze and Peaches story and it’s so good! It’s exciting and thrilling and full of danger and I am absolutely hooked!

Since moving onto the vampire guardians, these books have become so much better. Absolutely loving them now.
I admit, I still love Indigo more than Haze, but Peaches is so much better than I expected her to be and I love her growth in the book. Their time together is an ordeal but really fun and gripping too.
Definitely recommend and I'm now really enjoying this universe and the world Lana has built.

Oh Sweetness
I love all my fae guardians but I really think Haze holds my heart. I still have to read the next one, but this man has me. I loved this journey and can’t wait to see what else is in store for me.

Just another amazing book in the series. I feel like I am back into the groove of this series and it truly is amazing palate cleanser books. The plot kept me intrigued and the romance was cute and sexy.

This was my least favorite so far, I didn’t really care much for either main character and was bored for a lot of it. I’m also tired of these women instantly getting pregnant like I get ittttt
