Guilty For You

Rate this book
Fox St. Claire is everything I shouldn't want. He's dangerous, dark, and the muscle of a secretive motorcycle club. Even worse? He's my brother's best friend.

I knew falling for him wouldn’t end well, but our simple friendship quickly morphed into more, blurring the lines of what we knew was wrong but felt so right. For a while, we managed to hide our whirlwind romance, but I guess all good things must come to an end.

My brother finding out was brutal, but the cops showing up at my door to notify me of his demise before I could even explain was worse. Add on the fact a few weeks later Fox confessed to being the one to do it, and I was a mess.

Fleeing California, I was determined to start a new life–one away from the MC. But when Fox shows up years later, telling me the truth and promising to protect me, I get sucked back in quicker than I fled.

The only problem? I was pregnant with his daughter when I left and never told him…

2.7 stars. This is an angsty second chance MC secret baby book.

Delilah and Paxton, aka Fox, get together when she’s 18 and he’s around 24. She’s studying to be a nurse, he’s her brother’s best friend who’s in an MC. Then, Fox gets sent to prison for killing her brother. Since she thinks he did this (and he's also supposed to be behind bars for life) she doesn’t feel motivated to tell him that she’s pregnant.

In the “secret baby” trope, the heroine needs a valid reason to keep the info from the hero, without making her unlikable. So, this succeeds on that front! He gets out after just a few years, and they run into each other. Cue the angst, since he doesn’t know they have a kid, and he has to explain why he made her think he was guilty of killing her brother.

I was let down by the angst. It was good at first– chapters alternated between past and present, so this story built the suspense of what happened between them in the past. But, it boils down to him being a dumbass and not communicating with her. I don’t like situations where if the characters just had 1 conversation, they could have avoided years of pain. This is that.

It turns out he went to prison He didn’t tell her that to, “save her soul from being tainted.” He uses that phrasing. I think we’re supposed to find it romantic. But I find it condescending. If a hero thinks that a heroine can’t handle the darker parts of himself, then they shouldn’t be together! (Also later in the book, Delilah sees him doing some dark shit and she's into it. So, he coddled her like a child for no reason).

It's unsatisfying that when they finally clear the air with each other, they both just move on. This book does a good job of building the tension, "OMG, what's going to happen when they find out each other's secrets?!" But then the answer is, "Not much!" and the tension fizzles out after the first half of the book.

He’s sad about missing the first few years of his kid's life. But he never really apologizes for his culpability in that. This was COMPLETELY his fault, and it could have been avoided if he just TOLD Delilah what was going on with her brother’s murder situation! And Delilah is never angry or blames him, which is frustrating. (Before they re-connected, she was a struggling single mom working 2 jobs and getting no sleep. Yeah, he left her money when he was in prison. But she didn’t take it, because he made her think he killed her brother! Of COURSE she didn’t take his money! What did he expect?!)

This could have been emotionally rich stuff - IF he owned up to the fact that 4 years of pain between them was all his fault, and IF she was angry about it, and IF they had to work through that. This book did have some angst, but not in this one spot where it really needed it. The problem isn't even that she forgives him too easily - it's that this book doesn't even act like there's anything for her to forgive him for, in the first place. This book has a potentially good angsty conflict, and then it just drops the ball.

One good thing is that during their 4-5 year separation, he was celibate (even after getting out of prison). But they both feel weirdly non-specific, as characters. I like a devoted / obsessive hero, but the heroine has to be worthy of that. Delilah is fine, but she feels generic, like just Some Girl. I didn’t understand why Fox was so into her. I liked Fox, but he also felt generic. His background and his whole personality are kind of vague, aside from being protective / possessive / devoted to Delilah.

This wasn’t a terrible read if you’re in the mood for these tropes. It just could have been better. The writing is fine, and it kept me interested to find out what would happen. There are some REALLY bad MC books out there, this isn't one of them. I might still check out more from this author.

FOX FOX FOX!
If you loved Opie in Sons if Anarchy, you will fall in love with FOX ST Clair. I was so ready for this MC Romance from A.M. Man Deliliah and FOX have one tragic love that ended when he was put away for life for a murder. She knows she will never see this man again, but her heart refuses to move on. She is struggling in life and working her hardest to provide for her family when a new MC in town their Prez, has his crazy eyes on her. This story had angst, grief, severe abandonment, and some major hot, hot, smut scenes. I had so many feelings of love and hate for FOX, but now he's one of my new book boyfriends! Deliliah was a great FMC that has lost so much but keeps going in life. What a great MC Romance

UGH THIS BOOK!!!! It pissed me off, made me happy, made me sad, made me fucking CRY!! Like 4 different times!! And it was probably one of my top reads so far this year. It’s bad boy motorcycler who takes the fall for killing his best friend/ girlfriends brother and now he’s out of prison trying to win her back. Everything about this book was extreme and amazing in EVERY way. Opie from Sons of Anarchy but BETTER. So so so much better👏🏼

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this book. Fox is this alpha hole, protective, dominant MMC, while Delilah is a hardworking, independent, tough as nails FMC. I loved the dark aspects in this book, especially the motorcycle clubs. I loved Maddie, her role in Delilah’s life was so special. I cried and felt the heartbreak that D felt multiple times. Overall, this book kept me interested from the first page. There was action, drama, and spice.. what’s not to love?

Summary 🗣

Delilah and her older brother Blaine and younger sister Maddie all lost their parents in their teen years and they are just struggling to survive. Blaine joins an MC Club and befriends Fox and then one night introduces him to his sisters and this is where our story begins....

My Thoughts 💭

I will try not to give any spoilers but if you do not want to know anything about this book then proceed with caution ⚠️

I LOVED FOX ♥️ this book truly showed how far someone would go for love. About halfway through I figured out why Fox went to prison and from there on I had so much love for him. Once the plot was revealed then I was so happy to see what was going to happen with Delilah and him ♥️

There were many places in this story that I laughed and many where I cried 🥺 I cried with how she figured out her daughter's name and I loved that even though she didn't know the entire reason, Fox was always there in her mind.

Once the entire story was revealed to Delilah and she understood why everything went down the way it did, I was so relieved to hear that not only had she saved herself for him but he had too! Not a lot of books do this, if the MMC and FMC are separated the MMC always seems to stow his wild oats while he waits claiming it is just a "physical thing." But not Fox and that is why he earned a 5⭐️ for me.

I think this is not your "typical" MC book as our MMC doesn't consider himself a "lifer" in the MC world and that is what makes this a different kind of MC book. But do not let that change your mind because this book is so worth the read 🖤

Best read of the year!!! (So far lol) I loved this book so much it's a five star. It's second chance, secret baby, age gap, brother's best friend, virgin FMC, strong FMC, guaranteed HEA and possessive alpha male.

This book sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions. There were a few scenes that made me cry a little and a lot of sweet moments between the characters. The book is a little angsty but if you pay attention to details you can definitely guess what happened before Fox confesses.

It has a few spicy scenes I would rate the book a 2 chile peppers 🌶️🌶️/5 . It wasn't anything freaky but Fox's dirty talk is unmatched 😮‍💨🥵

Some of my favorite quotes from the book

"She belongs to me. And nobody touches what's mine." -Fox

(For context they weren't even together when he said that 👆🏻😮‍💨🥰😍)

"You're my heart, and my home, my future and my past. No one else compared to you when I knew what my soulmate felt like in my arms." - Fox

SCREAMING CUZ WHAT!!!! I WANT A MAN TO LOVE ME HOW FOX LOVES DELILAH 🥹😍🥰

I loved Delilah, she's a broken single mom that would do anything for her family like work herself to death. She's independent, fierce and doesn't take any hand outs. She deserves the world and Fox is gonna give it to her.

Fox.....MY MAN FOX 😮‍💨 This man is insane like actually insane. He pleaded guilty to a crime he didn't commit just so he can exact his revenge. An eye for an eye. He did it all for Delilah and I love it. No one messes with his girl. The love he has for her is unmatched. Fox would burn down the world if it meant Delilah would be safe. There's nothing hotter than a man who can take care of his woman.

This book had me on a roller-coaster ride! The ups, the downs...my heart broke a million times! The journey of Fox and Delilah's relationship is one of so much heartache and so much adoration. Fox is an Alpha male, a dangerous member of an MC, but is soft and sweet for D and only wants to take care of her. Delilah, young but not naive, responsible, and nurturing, let's Fox in and falls in love until a tragedy rips them apart. Considering what happened, Delilah moved her and her younger sister to a different part of the country to get a fresh start, working two jobs to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. Everything was going OK, until her eyes locked with a pair of hazel ones from her past. Both of them having secrets they kept from each other, but now needed to spill.
A.M. McCoy has never disappointed me! Guilty for You has an incredible plot, and of course, has the spice we all want. Fox and Delilah are so hot for each other, so primal. It's definitely a read worthy of all the stars.

As always A.M. McCoy knows how to provide a woman with a story she didn't even know she needed in her life. There is just something about the way she writes that leaves me binge reading her work and wanting more after it ends.

Fox and Deliah's story had me feeling all the feels while needing a cold shower. How is that even possible!?! While you dive into the book you will go from past to present as you be come acquainted with the characters and their story. Their story isn't for the faint of heart. They have so much to over come from grief, to secrets, years that separated them, and current events that will either break them or bring them together again.

But really who doesn't want to read about Fox the brother's bad boy biker best friend and Deliah the sister who just might be able to make a claim to his heart!?!

Please note that this story does contain sensitive topics. As in true A.m. McCoy fashion check the list before diving in.

AM McCoy did it again! I LOVE her books and this one did not disappoint!! I loved the plot and the MC 🏍️vibe. I felt the love these two have for each other and the spice 🌶️was the icing on the cake 🍰 ! This book made me wanna go find my own biker (if I weren’t happily married that is 🙃) Some of my favorite troupes Age Gap✔️ Touch her and ☠️ ✔️ Possessive ✔️Surprise Pregnancy ✔️ Second chance ✔️ and of course I always need an HEA final ✔️

I’m hoping we will hear a little more about Fox and Delilah in another book following her sister 🤞!

I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from this book 📕, “Heaven doesn’t want me and Hell’s too scared of me. You’re the only place I belong.” -Fox-

This really could have been good. The premise was pretty interesting and honestly, I was hooked from the start. You want to know what killed it for me? You really want to know? It was the dialogue during the sex scenes. My god. Almost full page length dialogue in the middle of sex. I was skipping chapters to get away from it. These characters didn't communicate unless they were physically rutting (their words, not mine).

Fox didn't want to tell Delilah anything because he didn't want to taint her soul. Gag.
And Delilah didn't want to tell Fox about his secret baby because, well, he murdered her brother and she ran from him.

Let me just quote a quick line here that also took an entire star away on principle:
"Fox is the alpha-est of alphas..."

In the beginning this was a 5 star book for me that I couldn’t put down, but when the FMC and MMC finally get to talk and lay everything on the table they just.. shrug their shoulders say I love you and move on. I expected a bit more from the way it was being built up tbh. Also I feel like they had every kink just popping out randomly and it got a bit too much for me. I didn’t like how Oliver had this huge crush on her and kept asking her out but he’s really interested in the younger sister (who’s of age). It was just weird to me. Also why do you want or think it’s appropriate for a 5 year old to be present during birth 😅😅 (that’s a personal opinion and I know cultures are different but that just completely took me for a loop)

This book is one to read for sure. All my smut lovers out there need to get this book. It has some spicy scenes in it that are just to die for. This book also carries some pain in it. There is a lot of unknown until you reach the end of the book. Though the buildup is so worth it. Fox is one hot dude. Would definitely be on a lot of people's book boyfriend list. I love how protective the characters are in this book. They will give up everything for the ones that hold their heart and that's all any of us want in life. Life carries a lot of tragedies and sometimes it takes time to get through them. You will have to read this book to see if they are able to conquer it all.

AM McCoy brings it every time. The plot, the tension and sooooo much heat.
Guilty for You is a second chance romance full of sweetness and AM McCoy’s trademark spice.
“You’re my heart, and my home, my future and my past.”
Fox and Delilah are absolute soul mates, but they are driven apart by tragic events, even if they are fueled by love. Finding each other years later, there’s no mistaking the passion is still there but there’s a lot of questions that need to be answered in order to move forward. These two together are hottttttttt and I loved every bit of their story.

Fox and Delilah fell in love before life as Delilah knew changed forever. The loyalty and love these two have for each other is what people dream of finding. From the start of the book, you could feel that these two were destined to be together.

A.M. had me on a roller-coaster ride of emotions throughout the entire book. Absolutely a must-read if you love second chance romance and a protective dominant MMC.

Umm, I just found my new favorite book boyfriend, and his name is Fox! This book is perfect for any fans of SOA, and the spice is top-notch. I smiled and kicked my feet throughout the entire book, and I devoured it in one sitting. The ending was sweet and made me cry more than once. Now that its over, I'm not okay. I finally understand what people are talking about when they say they wish they could read a book for the first time again. Guilty For You is absolutely f***** delicious, and I think I might be a little obsessed.

The Fox and his Hen

As part of a MC club, Fox is tied to a life that he dreams of leaving behind. Meanwhile Delilah is breaking her back, studying and trying to keep what is left of her family together, including the brother who is also now part of that club. When these two meet, sparks fly which blossoms into something beautiful. But then her brother gets murdered and Fox takes the fall and what should have been a beautiful love story turns into a single mother raising her daughter alone and a father serving a life sentence. Will they get their HEA?

Ugh fox! He consistently loved and adored his girl. His loyalty knows no bounds and he shows that throughout the book. The FMC is strong and has survived on her own after loosing almost everyone she loved in less than a year. She spends her time working herself to the bone and raising her sister and daughter. When fox stumbles back into her life by complete accident she pushes back because of all the hurt and damage between them, soon secrets come to light and they are able to work it out for a perfect HEA

Ugh this book was so good!! I want a man like Fox please 😍 he did everything he could to protect Delilah and find his way back to her and is the best definition of a morally gray character you can’t help but be drawn to. This book is easily one of the spiciest books I’ve read this year, to the point of blushing. I was reading and waiting for the other shoe to drop for the rest of the conflict and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Loved this book!!

The writing was good, but there were some repetitive phrases and mistakes—nothing that was significant enough to impact the main story though.

Good read

This book has it all! Thriller, suspense, romance, and some smut. We get to see these characters be broken and put back together, with such a fun and suspenseful plot, watching this family come together was so fun and this book is such a page turner! I read it in one day. Do check trigger warnings if you are not into smut as the scenes get very detailed, but it is a great book.

Really great read and storyline that captivated my attention and pulled at my heart strings. This book made me shed some tears a couple of times for a few different reasons involving loss and love. This is not my typical genre that I read, so I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I read the whole book in one day. Grammatical errors were nearly none, which I appreciate so much, which helped me breeze through in no time.

Hard to put down.

I started this book yesterday about 3 hours before bed and I didn’t want to put it down. The only reason I did was because I passed out. I picked it up this morning to finish and I’m glad that I did. It had the right amount of drama and romance and the spice was great. A very well balanced book. 10/10 recommend.
