The Fellside Mountain Rescuers return with another hot, enthralling romance.

Nick:
Just when I begin to turn my life around and finally find my place in Fellside, I meet Charlotte. She has me under her spell from the moment she shouts at me for daring to rescue her. She seems to complete me in a way nobody else ever has, so who cares if she's a few years older than me? It turns out she does care, but I'm not that easily dissuaded. I'll prove to her that age is just a number.

Charlotte:
It's ridiculous to think that Nick, a man seven years younger than me, could be seriously interested. My ex-husband has made it abundantly clear that men want younger women. I'm not going to be taken for a fool again. If only he wouldn't cause all these butterflies in my stomach whenever he looks my way.

Join Nick and Charlotte on a journey of passion, self-discovery, and the courage to overcome societal norms.

Paint with Me can be read as part of the series or as a stand-alone novella.
It is a book for mature audiences and readers should pay attention to the trigger warnings.

I absolutely adored Book 1 and Book 2, but let me tell you, Book 3 is hands down the best one yet! Paint with Me is sizzling with more heat and background on the main characters. Nick's growth from his childhood experiences is truly remarkable, and his character is just so charming and lovable. Charlotte's fear of heartbreak is relatable and adds depth to the story. Their fights are intense, their lovemaking is scorching, and their chemistry is off the charts. I was thrilled to see old friends from Book 1 and 2 again, and meeting new characters from upcoming books was a treat. This series just keeps getting better and better, and I can't wait for more!

I have received an advance copy of this book. I am leaving this review voluntarily. The views are all mine.

I absolutely loved this book!! I love how you can feel the emotions and love from nick in this with how it was written!! It was so cute when he finally got through to her and got her to give him a chance despite everything she was worried about 🥹 also the spice level in this was perfect cause it allowed for them to focus on growing and healing together while giving it that slight touch and that made me so happy 😭 I love the way he loves her and I know this is going to have me daydreaming about loving someone this way 😭😭

I love watching characters grow throughout a series. We first meet Nick in book #1 and he's kind of a 🍆 (and not in a good way). It was nice to see his growth through the first two books, but he really shines when you get to his story. It's very easy to love him once you get to know him. I love that Charlotte is an older fmc. I, myself, exist in a pretty similar age gap relationship and understand some of the insecurities that can come with it. I can't wait for what's next!

*This book comes out May 12th*

I absolutely adored book 1 and 2 in the Fellside Mountain Rescue series, and this one wasn’t the exception!

This series just keeps getting better and better to be honest. In this book we have more background on the main character’s, as well as a little back and forth between them that definitely helped a lot with getting to know them and enjoying their story more.

Charlotte had a difficult marriage in where her ex husband put ideas on her head that she was too old, and ultimately cheated on her with someone younger than her, that made her turn down any dates or prospects in that department, that was until Nick arrives on the picture.

Nick as well had a difficult past, his childhood wasn’t the best and he had trouble with being accepted with the friends he wanted to make, aka Alex and his crew when they were younger. But that changed and he promised to himself that he was going to do better. Now I can understand why he was the way he was in the first book!

The relationship between Nick and Charlotte was a bit raw and emotional since the beginning, but it was absolutely understandable, with their past and all of that. I was a bit frustrated with her but in the end I’m glad they could get past their differences and decided to give it a chance to share their love for each other. It was pretty lovely seeing characters from the previous books too!

Read if you like:
-age gap (7 years)
-younger hero
-older heroine
-dual pov
-small town
-novellas

This is the 3rd book in this series, and if you’re looking for something short and fast paced I highly recommend this series!!

A huge thank you to the author for letting me read this book in advance in exchange of an honest review.

"Paint with Me" cranks up the romance in the Fellside Mountain Rescue series, and it's a wild ride!

Nick and Charlotte take the spotlight in this sizzling story. Charlotte, burned by a brutal divorce, isn't shopping for love. Nick, seven years her junior and a relentless charmer, aims to change her mind. They're both a bit broken, but the sparks between them could light up the night sky.

Character growth? Nick's transformation from book one is impressive. He's gone from questionable to utterly charming. Charlotte's relatable fear of heartbreak adds depth to the story, making their emotional rollercoaster a mix of humor, wit, and steamy romance.

"Paint with Me" doesn't just dive into romance; it cannonballs right in. The tension between the characters is as thick as peanut butter. Their fights are epic, their bedroom scenes scorching, and their chemistry? It's off the charts.

Reuniting with old friends from previous books is like a cozy hug, and meeting new characters is like an early Christmas gift.

In short, "Paint with Me" is a must-read for series fans and a fantastic pick for new readers. It's about breaking barriers, conquering insecurities, and facing heartbreak with humor. With characters that charm you, steamy scenes that sizzle, and a gripping storyline, it's a standout in the series. Dani Elias proves she's not just an author but a magician of emotions. If you want a feel-good love story that'll make you dream of romance, "Paint with Me" is the one.

Paint With Me by Dani Elias is the third book in her Fellside Mountain Rescue series. It features Nick and Charlotte. Both characters were introduced to us earlier in the series, but Paint With Me can be read as a standalone book.

Nick was a bit irritating and immature earlier in the series. He improved in Sing With Me, but I really appreciated the deeper look into the reasons behind his past behavior that we’re given in Paint With Me. He really impressed me in this book. Seeing his interactions with his students was heartwarming.

Charlotte was a very relatable heroine. Now that I’m of a certain age I can understand Charlotte’s insecurity about being an older woman. I loved how persistent and supportive Nick was with Charlotte. Oh, and a certain scene in the epilogue was perfection!

I feel like a proud parent because I can see the growth and increased confidence in Dani’s writing from the beginning of the series until now. I’m looking forward to reading more about the heroes of Fellside Mountain Rescue!

I received an ARC from the author. The opinions expressed are my own.

Ya’ll this is Nick’s book, and where he was a bit ornery in the first book, his book explains all that…and dare I say warmed my heart for him. And he’s also a school teacher….awe…so sweet. So he’s all sweet by day and then saving people at night and on the weekends, seriously so well rounded. He and his group get called out to save a hiker, and when he gets there he realizes it’s Charlotte, the group’s friend. He’s been flirting with her for awhile, but because of their age difference she’s deflected him. Thankfully he wears her down, and she comes to her senses. I mean it took her a bit of back and forth, but she did come to her senses. I loved these two together.

Safe read, with a scorching couple that I was surprised weren’t together as soon as they met. We get to see our favorite couples from the first books, and find out that our shy and sweet Emma…is not so shy or sweet *wags eyebrows*…behind closed doors. And I decided that all the romantic guys are in Fellside…I know…time to move 😉. A sweet and well deserved epilogue and a hea. More please, always need more of this series. My addiction is very real.

Nick has shown his behind up to this book, and honestly, I wasn't sure how I would react to his story but I also knew that I wanted to read it. He has some serious demons which didn't do him any favor when it came to other people, but anyone can change should they decide to. Charlotte is our heroine whose ex was despicable so it left its mark making her the more difficult one in the story which was understandable, and yet drove me crazy LOL! Nick feels a real connection to her, but she's not willing to get past the age gap with her as the older one in this journey, but luckily, he's up for the challenge so I found myself seriously cheering him on out loud because he's not about to let her get away. Paint With Me was a pretty emotional book in my eyes since both of these people have carried around a lot of hurt so I did want to hug them both throughout. The supporting cast really added a lot to this story as well, and it was super easy to read in one sitting so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Paint with Me came along for at the right time as I have been feeling kind of slumpy in my reading this past week. This was the perfect novella for me to regroup with and I thank Dani Elias for the ARC!

I have not yet read the previous novellas in this series and judging by the reviews so far, I am missing out on the side characters and their development! I didn't feel like I was missing anything in reading this as a standalone, however, but now I am intrigued and will go back and read books 1 and 2. I very much appreciated that the FMC, Charlotte, was "older" since I am her age and sadly its a rarity to see my age group represented in romance books. Charlotte had some insecurities to overcome because of a toxic and her age. Nick, the MMC, was not *that* much younger than her, but as a woman in her early 40s dating someone younger, I imagine it can certainly feel like you may be robbing a younger man of experiences such as biological parenthood that he may have gotten with a younger woman. While reading I often thought if the man was 42 and the woman was 36 this whole age thing would be an absolute non-issue!

After the initial save on the mountain, I didn't think I would like Charlotte very much, but as she opened up to Nick, I also felt myself opening up to her as a character. Nick was my ideal hero, damaged with a soft side and a dirty mouth.

I'm glad Nick and Charlotte got over their obstacles and got the HEA they both deserved. Loved the messy paint scene and the spice was great. Of course it's a novella so things moved fast, but honestly it was refreshing to read something with no extra BS, focused on the couple and that’s it!

I loved this novella. Dani’s world of a small town in the Lake District is so cute and wonderful. It makes me want to love there immediately! It’s also cool to read about places I’ve been (not the village as that’s fictional) in the Lakes, like Rydell Water!!

Charlotte has been hurt before. By a douche of an ex husband who told her she was too old (yeah right. Like 40s is old 🙄. What a douche canoe!). This makes her so hesitant to get involved with another guy, especially one younger than her. Enter Nick, who is so wonderful (despite being an idiot in previous books) and caring towards her! He also doesn’t give up! I love how he helped Charlotte overcome her past and have more confidence in herself! I loved the whole relationship developmen, but also the other things, like the art class Charlotte puts on for his students!

This is a heart warming (with some angst!) story about overcoming past trauma and true love!

This is the third book in this series, and this is Nick and Charlotte’s story. Charlotte is a tad insecure, after a bitter divorce, and the last thing she is looking for is love. Nick is relentless in his pursuit of Charlotte and is determined to convince her to take a chance on them being together. These characters are both broken and flawed, but they complement each other perfectly, and the chemistry between them is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written east to read story, which is an emotional roller coaster, with humor, witty banter, friendships, a reverse age gap, self-discovery, friendships, angst, tension, romance, and fun, which leads to an entertaining, heartfelt, and steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Paint with Me is the third book in the Fellside Mountain Rescue series and let me tell you Nick is starting to be my favorite character. Nick, as we saw in book 1 and 2 is the outcast, who comes off as a bully. Charlotte is a heroine who is the nice artist that is friends with Emma and Christina. Nick feels a connection with Charlotte but Charlotte sees her age as a problem. Charlotte is older than Nick and sees that as a big issue because of her history with her ex. Nick doesn't let age stop him from pursuing Charlotte and when he sets his mind on something he doesn't let anything stop him. I love how in this book we still see the original characters and see all of then interact. The best part was the epilogue....

Charlotte is still dealing with the emotional aftermath of her divorce and doesn’t believe she is ready to date anyone. Every time she and Nick see each other the sparks fly she doesn’t under why he would be interested in someone like her.

Nick is trying to overcome his past and show his team at FMT that he is trying to be a better man. He is very attracted to Charlotte but that means convincing her that she is exactly who he needs and the fact that she is seven years older is irrelevant.

I enjoyed the evolution of Charlotte’s character as with the support of Nick she finds the courage to pursue love and happiness despite what she had already been through.

It’s cool to see this author developing to be more confident. The dialogue is still a bit too clunky and awkward for me to give more stars; but this is the best book in the series and a compelling read! The theme is the age gap so it focussed on that, but it was so abrupt and not subtle- did the characters even interact apart from going forward and back again and again and again about an age gap? I would have enjoyed it if I felt like they had more personality. I enjoyed the bland heteronormative conversation about any sexual practice that is at all non vanilla- so funny! Good work, Dani!

This was my first time reading author Dani Elias! Paint With Me is part of the Fellside Mountain Rescue series. It’s a reversed age gap romance that was well written and very entertaining! It was a story about Charlotte who’s in her forties and is a little bit insecure. She’s pursued by Nick, who is a very and a determined younger man in his thirties! This was a very romantic and spicy book, with great character development and a great storyline! Looking forward to reading more from this author!.

The best one yet

Out of the three Fellside Mountain Rescue series novella’s out so far, this is the best one yet! I absolutely loved Nick’s character arc from book one to now, and Charlotte’s character is so realistic.

Nick is an elementary teacher and seven years younger than Charlotte. Charlotte’s husband left her for a younger woman and she’s scarred from that, but her husband was a jerk throughout their whole relationship so she has lots of healing to do.

Nick tries to win Charlotte but can Charlotte get over the age gap? Read book three in this novella series to find out!

Paint With Me is my favorite Fellside Mountain Rescue book yet! I loved how it starts out with the excitement of a rescue and quickly morphs into such a great love story. I was cheering Nick and Charlotte on the whole time and I have never wanted to punch a fictional character’s ex more than I wanted to punch Charlotte’s jerk of an ex husband. There might not have been any punches thrown but I think the epilogue was my favorite chapter in the book. Without giving any spoilers, Charlotte, you go girl! This book is open door and does have spicy scenes and some language.

This was a fun story with a lot of tension between the characters. Charlotte and Nick find themselves around each other only because of their friends. But when a hiker mistakes Charlotte as being in trouble, Nick is the one that finds her.

The chemistry between them is electric and once they let the walls down the passion sets off fireworks.

I love this book. As a woman in my 40s, it's great to find a story I can so relate to. I wasn't sure about Nick in book 1 but boy has he come a long way. He's not just fighting for his woman and becoming generally a guy you just have to like, that man has a dirty mouth... I like it. Once again, Dani Elias has proven she is the queen of epilogues and bonus chapters. If you don't download the bonus chapter you will miss out!

I have not read the other books in the series yet but I will. Nick and Charlotte bring heat, heart and make you a believer in them.

They overcome personal demons and do it together. I love that!!! Going to read the previous two books now.

Love the fact that it is a love story around people in their 30s and 40s. A lot of romance is focused on people in their 20s but we older.

Nick is swoonworth, I like a reformed bad boy. Charlotte is so relatable. And the ending is brilliant.

The author managed to write a hot smutty scene and still introduce some humour to it. Loved it!

This one was even better than the first two. Man Elias packs a punch with her romance and stories. This one pulled on the heart strings to the very end. I could not get enough of it. At 114 pages I could not put this down and I didn't want it to end.

Stories of the Fellside mountain men continue with Nick and Charlotte. Nick isnt my favorite of the guys, but i liked this story. I enjoyed a slightly older character in Charlotte. I also just like to see snippets of the other characters continuing lives. Thats the best part about a series :)

On top of that, thoroughly enjoyable read. Wish we could all find a Nick!

This was the first book in the FMR Series I have read. I have since gone back and read the others. I want a Nick in my life! I love that he doesn't give up on Charlotte and shows her she is the one.

I really enjoyed the interactions with the other FMR guys which is why I have purchased book 1 and 2 in the series.

I live in the UK and enjoyed the description of the Lake Distric. I even googled the cave which really does exist.

This is a feel good book that makes you dream of romance.
