Saint Croix Notes

Rate this book
The Saint Croix River Valley is a remarkable part of Minnesota and Wisconsin that combines stunning natural beauty with small-town life. Here, Noah Adams reflects with humor and pathos on the small things that add up to the good life - watching a Christmas pageant, spotting eagles, listening to ghost stories, and paddling down the Saint Croix River.

Noah Adams takes the mundane incidents of daily life and crafts them into exquisite prose. It makes you think about and love this world we live in.

I picked this up in a little free library on a whim and was blown away by the beautifully descriptive writing of Noah Adams - a previous host of NPR’s All Things Considered.

Spanning a year of his life in Minnesota along the St Croix River, we get a glance into his adventures in nature, exploring areas of the state that I have loved, too. Fantastic read for any Minnesota/midwest lover!
