Michael Stewart's biog of 'Bruce Springsteen' is a 1984 publication. I've had this in the bottom of some drawer for almost thirty years. It's the size and format of a concert programme, and maybe that's how I first acquired it, at Bruce's Born in the U.S.A. tour at Roundhey Park in Leeds in the mid eighties. The recommended price back then...£2.50.
What I like are the photographs. Colour and black and white on every page accompanied by Stewart's text and a very informative discography.
'The Boss' was just a few weeks away from his sixtieth birthday when I last saw him on the pyramid stage at the Glastonbury Festival 2009. It is still just as exhausting to be rockin' up and down for four hours as it was back in the eighties.
Must be somewhat rare and out of print now. Could be worth more than £2.50 to a collector. Perish the thought, it's more than my life is worth, the better half would kill me.
