Thank you so much Roxy Eloise for giving me an ARC of this book! I've really enjoyed reading these 2 books and I cannot wait for the next one!

I absolutely loved how this story developed from book 1 and I loved how the characters developed. I really love Aurora and how she's written and I know I said this with book 1 but I love how she acts like a teenager it's so refreshing to see in a book!

I'm really enjoying the love triangle in this book and the dynamics between the characters! I have a favourite who I would love Aurora to be with and I can't wait to see how her relationships with them develop!

I flew through this and was intrigued the whole time, I didn't want to put it down and was constantly wanting to know what happened next!

I cannot wait for the next book! Especially after that ending!

I only recently read (and loved) The Guidal : Discovering Puracordis. I was absolutely thrilled to receive an ARC of the sequel - The Guidal : Unearthing Secrets and it certainly did not disappoint!

You land straight back in the action, amongst Aurora’s life, love, confusion, and complications. I love seeing how she, and the other characters, are growing and changing from book one. Their flaws aren’t hidden, these are realistic young people. I found myself disliking Aurora at times in this, but it only made me want to turn the pages even moreso in the hopes that she’d sort herself out!

My favourite crush, Pax, is just adorable as ever. Needless to say the love triangle there grows more complex as Tayo makes a lot of things known to ‘Roar’. This second book has a much steamier feel than the first, but again I feel that’s realistic given the ages of the characters and their circumstances.

The friendships are brilliant, the bullying ongoing (the book sends some excellent messages on this subject) and the secrets unravelled around Puracordis are intriguing.

Some of my favourite scenes were The Parkour Games, so vivid, I can imagine them on a big screen. These books would make amazing films!

Another excellent read, I highly recommend you check this series out.

Also finished this book in one day!! I couldn’t put it down! I’m so hooked and dying for the next book in this series!! I just love the world and the characters! Even when they frustrate me and keep me changing my mind!

Love hearing about all the magic and the different abilities that I keep learning about. The world building in this book was great. It gave me more answers but also left me with more questions too. I’m truly invested in this series and i had to know more!

The love triangle between Pax, Aurora and Tayo left me feeling so many different emotions. I keep changing my mind on who I’m routing for. And I love books like that. Some moments I wanted to shake each and every one of them!! Which happened a lot and kept switching lol.

I love the action from these games. I still feel the hunger game vibes and I love it!!

I also love the friendship they Silliah and Aurora have with one another. They truly care for one another and I feel like it’s one the true once in the lifetime type of friendships. I felt a little sad for both of them towards the end but I totally understand. Hope they talk about their feelings in the next book!

Ugh, why did you have to end it like that???? I need to know what’s going to happen next!!

Oh my, the steam! This book is a lot more spicy than book one. Although they are closed door scenes, there’s enough detail to fill in the blanks. Aurora’s complicated love life causes her a rollercoaster of turmoil.

Sillah gets matched, which I loved. Aurora introduces Sillah and Sillah’s match to Puracordis magic. The teens start practicing and mastering their powers. This was so much fun to read & learn with them about the different types and spells.

There’s more fun with the competitive tournament. The corruption and cheating makes it more dangerous for Aurora, and her friends. They figure out others are using magic too. The arena and the bounties were so vivid, and their physical training at the Khakidemy is brilliant.

I really like Aurora. The love triangle between bad boy Tayo, and her perfect match Pax, made sense. I like how she stands up for those being mistreated or bullied, and the way she challenges the Boudfell family whenever she can.

Read it for romance, illegal magic and adventure.

Thanks, Roxy Eloise, for providing me with an ARC for the second instalment of The Guidal series in exchange for an honest review!

First of all, congratulations on the release of your second book!

I finished this on the way home from work, and to say I gasped at the ending is an understatement. What a cliffhanger!

The character development once again was impressive, and their personalities clearly shine through. It's easy to see when a character has been well thought through, and this story is no exception. I often found myself laughing at their interactions and found their relationships to be modern and refreshing.

We get a much deeper insight into the structure of the world in this book, and I'm excited to see how things progress. My curiosity to explore outside of the institute is something I hope is explored later on in the story.

This book is YA through and through. The tropes are something my teenage self would have been squealing at. For anybody who loved The Hunger Games and Divergent (like me) definitely give this a read!

I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

It been 4 days since I finished this book and I am still processing it, whilst starting book three 😂

I love this world Roxy has created, the depth to this story and the characters keeps me coming back for more - I honestly cannot get enough.

I love Pax, what a guy. Honestly, he can do no wrong. I love to hate Tayo and secretly adore him. Aurora, although I want to sit her down and have a conversation, is so badass FMC.

I am obsessed, it’s my personality now and I cannot wait to see how this story unfolds.

If you haven’t read the series, I can’t recommend it enough. Book one and two are both on KU 🫶🏻

❀ single pov
❀ love triangle (done well)
❀ subtle spice
❀ hunger games / divergent energy

Finally I got to read the second book in this series and it did not disappoint at all!
We go through an emotional rollercoaster with the love triangle which I absolutely loved. The characters show some growth and change in behavior which is great to see in the second book. I was super intrigued about how the magical system was developed in this book.
I'm so excited for the next one, this is a story that will keep me on my toes until the very end 😍

This is not my review - just my brain dump. Don’t read if you don’t want spoilers

You know how it’s mentioned about reading and immersive stories, yes 1 million times yes to that, I’d like to get inside this story and give Aurora a shake!

As an always hungry girl I want to order my food on a tablet - why can’t I do this???

Nanny kimly asked Aurora when she will grow up and honestly I also need to know.

I find myself so in my head about Tayo, I can’t shake this feeling in the pit of my stomach whenever I’m reading scenes he is in. He appears controlling and coercive while completely lacking in emotional intelligence. I want to physically climb inside the book and tell Aurora that she is a strong, incredible female (when she wants to be) and she doesn’t infact need a man, much less one who seems so dismissive of her challenges and her upbringing. His behaviour is so unhinged, the level of extreme jealousy towards Pax is wild, the incident at the parade. I feel like he definitely has ulterior motives and he only admitted to hiding stuff cause he couldn’t show to Aurora? SKETCHY. Roxy has written this character so well, and honestly, I don’t think she intended for him to come accross as he is to me? But my inner social worker is screaming get out Aurora, run as afar from him as you can.

Aurora made so many poor decisions in this book and I can’t help but think she would have had a clearer mind without Tayo around. She complains that pax spends time in his room? Yet she’s always in hers with Tayo!! You can’t blame him not wanting his heart shattered catching Tayo in her room. Tayo calls Pax a coward on many occasions yet in such a short space of time he has processed life changing news, dealt with his own challenges (mum & dad related), processed his own feelings and expressed how he feels all clearly and concisely. TAYO HAS HAD YEARS… fucking years.

Aurora complaining at pax for calling her by her name? She pushed him away 😭 The scene with his memory about Pippla 😭😭 his VOWS 😭😭 Aurora does not deserve him.

I recon I would be so good at the parkour games and I would absolutely smash the flexon pro, also can I be 5 powers and not 6 I think I am all of them except for summoner.

There has to be more to the fell academy, Nanny K is a babe. I actually want Aurora to end up with Ryker.

Paxton forever 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡

The way the first book ended, I couldn't pick this one faster. I'm so grateful for Roxy Eloise for giving me an ARC of this book!
More magic, more steam and more challenges...I couldn't put it down. The world building and the character development is brilliant. Aurora, Pax and Tayo's love triangle is a roller coaster and a ride I'm truly enjoying. Roxy Eloise has become one of my favourite authors and I can't wait to read more from her... The detailed descriptions of the surroundings and feelings really brought life to the words and have me wanting to visit Khakidemy 😅. It was a bit fast paced but I truly enjoyed it
I really didn't want it to end and can't wait for the next book!

I liked this one more than the first one.
Still teenagers, but it was a nice follow-up to the previous book.
Sometimes the passage of time is a bit wierd, in how many months or days pass.

But overall, it is a cool story, nice to read and I will be waiting for the following book

Book 2 in The Guidal series and I loved every second of it.  I couldn’t put it down.

I love the world that Roxy has created. The depth of the characters, the world, all the little bits of information that keep you theorising, I was just hooked on it all!

Pax is still my favourite, his patience, loyality and calmness is perfection. Auroras sassy, strong, stubbornness and Tayo who is there throwing a curveball to our feelings.

I can’t wait to see where book 3 takes us. The story really could go so many different ways, the possibilities are endless.

Highly recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of Hunger Games/Powerless/Divergent type vibes. So so good

Luckily I read the first book not long ago so I didn’t have to wait long to read the second. I LOVED this book even more than the 1st! The characters really hook you in and there are plot twists you would never see coming. The only thing that annoyed me was the ending. We need to know what happens next!!! Would recommend this book!

When there is still so much to discover about your world and yourself…

After discovering that there is still so much she doesn’t know, Aurora is set on finding out who and what exactly she is.
But life as a Young Enforcer isn’t an easy one, let alone discovering that Aurora may be a threat to the world she is living is.
And even if her betrothed, Pax, has turned his back on her, Aurora can always count on Tayo in having her back. Together they are trying to figure out what a Guidal is. But while Aurora may be a threat to the Boulderfell Institute, there is someone or something being a threat to Aurora too…
Finding out who you are is never easy, but in Aurora’s case it’s not only a matter of discovering who she is, but it’s also a matter of trying to discover who has her heart and who she can truly trust… because it may be a matter of life or death if her secret is revealed to the wrong person…

Pfew, this for sure was another rollercoaster! I was eager to read what would be happening next to Aurora, but I for sure wasn’t expecting all of this!

Of course it took me a minute to change worlds, leaving our world behind and return to this dystopian world, where things are completely different from what we are used to.

I liked the Aurora in this second book of the series, as she has become more independent, more resolute but also more determined to discover the truth, whatever it may be.
She knows she has powers, but she doesn’t know or understand where they come from, and she wants to find answers to her questions.
And while her heart got broken previously, she can always rely on Tayo, not only for her quest, but also for emotional support and just someone that is and will always be there for her.

But between everything that is going on at the Institute, and all the trouble Aurora finds herself in, we also see that in fact she is still a teenager. Even if she lives in a complete different world than ours, she is exactly like every other teenager, going through a whirlwind of emotions and attempts at self-discovery. So even if we are worlds apart, that made Aurora very recognizable.

And just like every teenager, or young person, Aurora finds herself torn apart between love interests. I have to admit, if I were in her shoes, I wouldn’t know who to pick either. Because both Pax and Tayo for sure have their own strengths, but they absolutely also have their own flaws… And just like Aurora, one moment I was leaning towards one, and a moment later towards the other.

I have said previously that I am not the kind of person that is into magic. In this story there is even more magic than in the previous book. But just like it was easy to change worlds, it was rather easy to accept the magic in Aurora’s world. And that because it made sense in a way. And it added an extra layer in the mystery surrounding Aurora and her world.

A world that turns out to be more complicated than previously, a world where Aurora has to fight (literally and figuratively speaking) to survive. A world where one wrong word can and will have consequences and where it’s important to know who can be trusted and who not.

It was easy to pick up the second part of the series, and return to this “special” world. I found myself totally immersed in Aurora’s world, wanting to know if and when and how Aurora would not only discover who and what she truly is. But I also had the urge to see where her own love triangle would go to. Only to discover that the book ends on a huge cliffhanger, and that I now have to wait for the third chapter to know how Aurora will fare…

Roxy Eloise wrote an amazing sequel, that made me read page after page, about a world so far and distant from our own, yet with still similarities to our own. And without ever pushing my own magical limits! 😊

Trust is nearly impossible in a world, where martial tyranny rules, magic is a plague, and one girl finds herself in a dangerous weave of reality and lies.

This takes off right where book one ended and can't be read as a stand-alone. This is a series, which does need to be read in order.

Aurora is just beginning to touch the surface of the knot of lies and secrets surrounding her and those around her. While she's slowly accepting her ability to use magic, the need to hide it only grows. With all the drama and problems happening around her, though, keeping a secret isn't her only problem. Friendship and love interests have been her foundation in a tough world, and even these can no longer be trusted.

While Aurora has grown since the beginning of book one, she's still just beginning to realize what her future expects. She's still a bit mouthy and has a quick temper, but she's beginning to mature and gain patience and caution. Like in book one, the author does a very good job at character development and not only with Aurora. Those around her have their own histories, goals, secrets, and intentions. And not all of them are easy to recognize. Especially the romance end, filters in more than a few highs and lows as the plot twists and turns.

The background and history of this world gain depth in this second novel, while the intrigue builds. It's carefully woven, which makes it easy to sink into the action and adventure. There are more than a few surprises, and just as many emotional moments. The mix of scifi with magic creates a vivid world, and with the constant threat of danger, it's a hard book to put down. It's just as grabbing as the first book and holds the promise of much more excitement to come.
I received a DRC and enjoyed this read enough to look forward to book three.

I was so excited to dive into the second book of this series after enjoying the first book so much.

Aurora, still making decisions with her heart and not her head, is still one of my favourite characters in this series. A typical headstrong teenager, while not always making the best decisions, does so with her whole heart and definitely learns and matures a bit in book two.

I loved the magic system in this story. After seeing just a touch of the magic system in book one, I was really excited to learn more in book two. I am not going to share much about the magic system other than how much I loved it and the forbidden nature of using it. I enjoyed how it was incorporated into the story in so many different ways, from the bit of history of where the magic came from and training to use it in secret. While we got to learn a lot more about the magic in book two, there are still a lot of unanswered questions surrounding it and I can wait to learn more about it in the next book.

The Parkour Games are my favourite part of this series. A high stakes, last-team standing tournament that is fast-paced and action-packed. I loved that there was more of The Parkour Games in book two than in book one.

And then there is the love triangle that I am now completely torn on where I stand. All the tension and angst that you would expect from a young adult romance, and I loved every minute of it. Tayo, is the classic bad boy rebel with his witty banter. Pax is the caring, sweet, & protective counterpart. How do you choose who to ship?

As it was in the first book, the story is filled with twists and turns, sweet moments and sad moments, that all ends in a cliffhanger I didn't see coming. I am excited to see where book three takes this found family of characters.

Thank you Roxy for the review copy of The Guidal: Unearthing Secrets. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I felt like I was flying through the pages.

With every word and every chapter this book becomes a story filled with everything I consider an absolute amazing read.
So we are back in this fucked up high school, this institute if you will. We are locked up in this place just like Aurora, not know much about the outside world. When the opportunity is given to break away from the everyday’s routine, we are eager to take the chance, just like Aurora. Even if for her it means risking her future. We are learning so much about this magic and this world, but the picture is so not complete yet.
Loving the character development for all characters, not just the main ones, seeing even the side characters in different light.
Also, we are still caught up in the tension of the love triangle, it’s a whole emotional rollercoaster. And it gets even more complicated, and I felt like that I, the outside observer, cannot make a decision, but I’m not sure Aurora is ever going to choose between them, and if she does, I cannot tell who is it gonna be. I’m still leaning towards Tayo, but I myseld am so frickin unsure as well.
The author is not afraid to create an FMC who is imperfect, who can make mistakes, so many mistakes, and hurting her loved ones, badly. Yes, sometimes she feels like a perfect girl, who is beautiful, has power, and is loved by handsome guys, but then we are quickly reminded how human she is.
Alike the first book this one is also filled with twists and turns, it has sweet, lovely moments and heartbreaking ones. And this all ends in a cliffhanger that I’m not sure I can recover from, I didn’t see it coming.
I’m so excited to see where book three takes us.

Thank you for Roxy Eloise for the eARC of this book, it was amazing.

Aurora has already experienced so much in her life but now finds herself stuck in a love triangle, having to come to terms with her powers and discovering more and more things that throw her entire life into disarray. Her belief in doing the right things remains at the centre of who she is and so sneaking around is continuing to take a toll on her, despite her knowing that it is the correct way to go about things at the minute but as her life continues to spiral and more and more is uncovered it becomes obvious she is going to have to make tougher and tougher choices and some of the decisions she will make maybe right for everyone but her.

The first book was amazing and so hopes for the second book were high and I am amazed that this book didn't just meet but surpassed any expectations I had. The book is perfectly written and has so many little twists and turns that never feel forced but instead feel like they are pushing the story along in a natural way. The characters are all believable and interactions between the characters feel real too which means that the reader is drawn into a world that is all about the characters and their growth throughout the books.

Truly this is one of the few books that I would give more than 5 stars if I could as the first book felt amazing but this one surpasses it.

The Guidal: Unearthing Secrets is the second book in Roxy Eloise’s dystopian series, which she began publishing after landing a contract in a Twitter pitch event.

In The Guidal, we return to Boulderfell Institute, where Aurora makes a shocking discovery. I enjoyed watching Tayo and Aurora grow closer and seeing their personalities develop.

I also appreciated the world building in this book. I respect it when an author can completely immerse you in a world wholly of their own creation. With mando-sleep, a Khakidemy, a complex societal structure and intricate magic, Eloise has created a unique backdrop for her stories.

Many familiar characters are present in book 2, including Tayo, Pax, and Nanny Kimly, although Nanny Kimly only makes occasional appearances.

As the title suggests, secrets — many, many secrets — are the main feature of the plot in book 2. A love triangle also creates a lot of tension and drama. There’s more heat in this book than I remember in the first book, although the love scenes are still pretty tame and tastefully done.

The book ends on a cliffhanger, leaving you wanting to know Aurora’s fate and setting the stage perfectly for a third book.

Thank you to Roxy Eloise for providing a free e-review copy. The opinions expressed in this review are my own.

THE ENDING!!!!!!!

I am next level obsessed with this book series. It’s got me so hooked and I’m now counting down the days until Saving Light comes out because I just want to inhale every word Roxy writes. It’s one of those series for me where you’re reading but you’re not actually reading, you’re just seeing it all play out in your head as though you’re watching a film. I don’t always get that for every book and I think it’s tricky to achieve where you’re so fully immersed. It’s such a magical feeling!

These characters are so special to me (if at times frustrating with their indecision *cough* Aurora.
The first half of the book, I found the love triangle a little frustrating purely because I am team Pax through and through. I feel like I’m not supposed to be because he’s not giving end-game energy but I really want him to be.. I also have suspicions that Ryker is going to have a bit of a moment of declaring his love/self sacrifice based on the little clues that have been dropped throughout the first two books. Also are Seioh Jennson and Nanny Kimly a thing???? Is the awful receptionist the Queen of the Kalmayans?? All questions I have going into the third book. I’m excited for the big reveal that Seioh Jennson was actually looking out for Aurora the whole time (I hope?), I really enjoyed the character development and particularly The Parkour Games. Just a delight.

The Guidal 2 Unearthing Secrets

*Minor spoilers if you’ve not read it yet;*

I absolutely loved the character development and story line of book 2 and diving in to lots of other side characters. I loved the games and again can just absolutely picture this as a series or film.

A few of my take aways and thoughts on this are:
1) Aurora eavesdropping on Siliah and Brindan’s chat, I’m intrigued if that relationship will stand the test of time and what that all really meant as I hope a jealousy thing doesn’t happen. Aurora is obviously going to be extremely important to the end game of this and she’s going to need her but I hope they don’t become enemies.
2) The love triangle can be frustrating but I think when you break it down they are young, forced in to a world that’s not as they are told it is with forced marriages and without parents it’s not a huge shock she’s in a pickle 🤣! Also; they are 100% trauma bonded, especially Aurora and Tayo from childhood, so I do love Tayo and Pax - I’m sorry 🤣! Young first loves are crazy 🤷🏼‍♀️

After that ending I am not ok and need a moment 😫. I need book 3 NOW 🫣.

**Book Review**
The Guidal - Unearthing Secrets

Plot ⭐️⭐️⭐️
"After discovering Puracordis, Aurora withholds something extraordinary. She begins to harness the overwhelming power she possesses and is conflicted whether to share her secret."

I enjoyed the story, but not as much as book 1. I loved learning more about the magic system and more about Aurora. I really enjoyed the Parkour Games elements. But I found the love triangle element of this book frustrating.

Writing style ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is just as well written as book 1. Clearly written for a YA audience with very PG scenes, and I'm not mad about it.
Loved the pacing of the book, no fluff, straight to the story.

Characters ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lots of character development for the main characters.
Aurora's indecisiveness is frustrating but incredibly true to life. Her bravado is clearly a mask and very well written.

Book boyfriend material ⭐️⭐️⭐️
FFS pick Paxton!
Clearly the right choice. Aurora needs the sensible balance.
Tayo is BFF material. I won't be swayed, well maybe, possibly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall, I enjoyed the book and would read again. The cliffhanger was delicious. Roll on book 3!

Gifted in the LibraryThing Early Reviewers program.

I'll start with the fact that I was able to read the first one when it came out and I was extremely excited for the sequel. So, I definitely jumped at the chance to read it. My biggest problem with book one was the feeling of things being rushed, some of the writing, and the characters not being quite flushed out.

I will say that this book definitely does better with the flow of things, but I'm still feeling like the writing could be more emotional than just telling. I also felt like there wasn't much story here this time around. It seems to focus more on the love triangle before another cliffhanger ends things. Again, like book one, I am not a fan of love triangles and I'm still leaning toward the one love interest ( Sad note that they take more of a back seat this time 💔 ) While book one left me wanting more and excited, I don't have the same feeling here. I want to understand the cliffhanger, but not sure I'd continue this series.

I'm glad to see others enjoy it, though. Give it a read and see what you think!

I liked this books better than the first one, and I found it got better as I went. The character descriptions got more natural which I appreciated.

I really struggled at the beginning because Aurora is a very annoying character. She’s constantly crying on the shoulder of one guy about the relationship with the other. I’m all for a dystopian love triangle, but she doesn’t do it in a way that has me cheering for everyone. I especially disliked how she was physically aggressive with Tayo at the start of the story. If the roles had been reversed, this would have read like he was forcing himself on her. It made me feel icky to read. The same goes for whenever she would use her enforcer training on him when he clearly asked her not to. I was equally annoyed with every time she would claim she won’t do any rule violating and then immediately broke the rules. It just makes Aurora a very hard character to like.

Despite all of that, I do feel invested in the story and want to know how it all ends.

If you truly enjoyed book #1 then you will for sure love this one too. It picks up right where it leaves off in book one so I do recommend you read that one first and continue with this one. I love how this one goes into much more depth into Aurora's character development, and her relationship with Tayo. I loved watching them get a lot closer, the tension, the drama, the love triangle, and of course the slow burn at its finest. She truly knows how to bring in the heat (if you know what I mean) without being too explicit.

The world building continues to be extremely well done and of course she really delivers with the secrets which is like the main plot in this book. However, a little bit of an expected downer, it ends in a cliffhanger. So expect to be left hanging on Auroras fate (in a good way) because this only means book 3 will be good. At the moment I am a little uncertain where Auroras fate will lead but truly excited to find out.

I am honestly speechless, I didn’t think this world and the storyline could get any better. There is such depth to the story and the characters are so well written. I am so eager to read book 3 but I don’t want it to be over, Roxy @roxyeloiseofficial has created such a magical world.

As a massive Hunger Games / Divergent fan the action packed segments of The Games were so detailed I could fully imagine myself there and I just want all (most of) the characters to be okay!

Aurora is such a strong FMC and I wish I had to pick between two great men, although .. I am more Team Pax at this point, there I said it. There are so many frustrating moments where I do just want to have a chat with Aurora but they are real emotions and not easily resolved which again are detailed beautifully.

This is one series I now recommend to everyone who is wanting a little bit of magic but not in a fantasy setting, it’s a personality trait now.

Well, Roxy Eloise did it again! Five stars!

I've been looking forward to reading the Guidal book 2 ever since I finished book 1 last year.

I couldn't wait to see what happened to the main teenage character, Aurora, as she navigated a strict and rigid system whilst juggling her feelings and relationships. Book 2 didn't let me down.

Roxy has a knack for really bringing out the characters, making them deep, relative and realistic. I found myself rooting for Aurora and loved her rebellious nature - which gets her into all kinds of strife.

Roxy’s world-building is rich, exciting and detailed, and really brings the world to life.

She did a great job teasing the reader, revealing more tantisling details about the magic system and character abilities.

A real page-turner. Looking forward to reading more if Roxy’s work. Well done!

Absolute game changer into this world!
Think hunger games… BUT BETTER.
The games that are held in this book make me want to have a go myself. The character detail is one of the best I’ve ever read. Roxy has done such a good job at following on from book 1 and making this even better!
I never once felt like this book was rushed, or I’d lost my attention with it. Infact I was sneaking away at work to get just an extra page in because I needed to know what happened next!
The writing style again was easy to follow, the chapter legnths were my preferred length, there was no detail in this book that wasn’t thought out to be perfect.
These types of books have never been my favourite but it is safe to say this is one of my all time favourite series to date.
I couldn’t recommend this book enough!❤️

“Serve, Honour, Protect and Defend”

This is the second book in the guidal series. We pick up from the end of the first one, straight back into all the action.

I feel with this one we get a better understanding on the branches of the magic system and how it all works. I like how she’s reaching out and helping her friends understand it. We’re building up to something with how it all links together.

We’re even more into a love triangle in this one, Aurora will not decided between the two boys.

Tayo continues to hide in her wardrobe like some creeper. (I have this weird feeling with him, like he’s using her for something, I can’t quite work it out)

Pax is too good for his own good! Grow some Balls and fight for the girl or you’re going to lose her! To hell with the rules! Rules are meant to be broken!

Of course Roxy ends it with a cliffhanger! Like what is happening!! Thankful book 3 in now out and I shall be getting to that very soon!
